Breakfast is good, traditional English breakfast, compared to other big hotels may not be many types, but there should be classic food, and old British favorite marmite. The scenery of the hotel is very good, you can faintly see the sea.

From the check in to the check out the experience was excellent. Housekeeping Dept. Should be bit more conscious about tge service. Ample parking. All what you need is there within the hotel.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had an excellent stay at this hotel. Everything was perfect—from the clean and comfortable rooms to the friendly and helpful staff. The location was convenient, the facilities were great, and the service exceeded my expectations. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Good location, friendly check in and close to the city, go for nearby restaurant for breakfast in walking distance. Small playground for kids. With electric blanket during winter which is very comfortable.

It has a distinctive, old-fashioned taste and feels very good! Good staff nice & friendly But the room is very clean, because of the toilet seat, extremely dusty

The room was very nice, the boss was very nice, and he also provided a rich breakfast. It is also very convenient to go to various tourist attractions. It's also very close to the city. The overall feeling of staying here is very relaxing!

The receptionist was very polite. The environment was spacious and natural, and the lake-view room was breathtaking.

Perfect location in Hobart city. Near everything, just one thing, parking is not free, the price is not cheap per night. Quite inconvenient if u rent car.

The decor was dated and could do with refreshing...ie curtains, carpet. The fixed heater did not work but there was a portable one that did. The door handle needs to be made more secure. The heater switch above the bathroom door needs to be tidied up. There was no soap in dispenser above the bath but filled to when asked. The pillows provided and spares were all too big for us. The bed was comfortable and the room was very spacious which was good. There was plenty of hanging space and drawers to use. Tv and fridge worked well. The parking spaces were a bit too narrow imo. Despite my pointers I would still recommend The Mayfair if the price is competitive.

The room photos on Trip.com were taken when the room was brand new. It clearly is no longer the case now - some staining on the curtains and soft furniture and marks on walls. Overall, for the price, it's still acceptable. Check-in is done at the bar like most similar types of accommodation above a pub. Bedding is exceptionally comfortable - special mention of the supremely comfortable mattress and pillows. 5-star bed. Water pressure in the shower is weak - 60% of what I would have liked. Bottled water and milk in the fridge is a nice touch. Crockery and cutlery provided in the kitchen. You will have to lug your luggage up 1 flight of stairs as there's no lift.
