This place is very centrally located, with a mall next door for dining options, and both Lawson and 24-hour Burger King for breakfast. It's also very close to the train station. If you're taking a taxi to Borobudur, I'd recommend walking to the train station first before hailing one. You can negotiate a round-trip charter price with the driver there, which is quite convenient.

This Yogyakarta villa offers incredible value for money! It's super clean, absolutely beautiful, has a distinct local charm, and the location is unbeatable! Right outside, you're facing the old city walls. A short walk to the right takes you to a convenience store and the ancient city gate, and once you pass through, you'll find a whole street lined with Yogyakarta's famous jackfruit stew rice. If you turn right and walk just five minutes, you'll reach the Yogyakarta Palace, the sacred Banyan tree complex, and the square – perfect for catching a show or exploring historical sites. The hotel itself smells wonderful (a unique fragrance), and the service quality is excellent. The breakfast offers a wide variety, so you can try something different every day. The small garden and corridors are stunning. And the best part? They have WeChat! Having WeChat makes communication incredibly quick and convenient!

The hosts are very nice and helpful. They really try to make your stay pleasent and give you all the helpful tips. But I have to write - place is very run down. Room ia big, but empty. Thw bed is clearly old and very uncomfortable, also linen is stained (that we found to be a big peoblem in whole indonesia and unaccaptable). The garden is also very run down and has a big well that is source of huge amount of nosquitoes (we killed 8 on our first day in room). The who place is dusty and coffee cups were not washed properly, so we did not use them. Breakfast is choice Indonesian or western. We chose Indonesian, but it was very strong flaviours for breakfast, so just be aware, also a bit too oily. This is not fault of hosts of course but nearby is mosque and its noise wakes you up at 4 am. The room with private bathroom was quite pricy and frankly not worth it, maybe cheaper rooms makes sence.

The location is fantastic, super close to Malioboro so you can just walk there. All the employees are very friendly and helpful, from security, front office, and housekeeping to the cafe and restaurant staff. The breakfast is also delicious. The downside is the small parking area, meaning cars have to be parked at Taman Yuwono, which is about 200 meters from the hotel. Also, the indoor space for breakfast is small, so if it's full, you're forced to eat outdoors. While the outdoor ambiance is nice, many people smoke in the outdoor restaurant area, which is very disruptive. The hotel should really prohibit smoking when the outdoor area is being used for breakfast, especially since many children also eat there because the indoor restaurant is full.

I just love everything about this hostel — the people in charge, the property itself and the location. I couldn’t really ask for more. I cannot express how genuinely happy I was to have met such friendly staff in this hostel. They were like family. They were so friendly, helpful and funny. They can speak basic/conversational English.This hostel is really clean. Towels and basic toiletries are also provided. I love that they have electronic lockers in each room and more storage cabinets in the bunkbeds. Everything you need is just a few minutes on foot. There are many street foods and restaurants right at the doorstep of the hostel. The hostel is also easy to find. They also have a laundry service for a small fee. If you are health or fitness conscious then you can take advantage of their calisthenics facilities on the rooftop overlooking the city of Yogyakarta.

I stayed at this hotel for three nights. The location is very convenient, especially for travelers arriving by train. However, the air inside the capsule felt a bit stuffy, so I decided to choose another hotel. I hope this will be improved in the future. Although the staff didn’t speak English, the kitchen team was extremely kind and friendly. Whatever I asked for, they simply replied “OK sir” with a smile. Thank you for the warm hospitality.

Grage Yogya Hotel is ideaal gelegen tussen het station en Malioboro street. Van alle hectiek is in het hotel niets te merken. De kamer is prima, misschien ietwat gedateerd. Tijdens het douchen bleek de slang gescheurd, gemeld bij receptie en diezelfde dag vervangen.

I happened to find a convenient transit place but even found grandpuri saron which is very good for an affordable price. Close to malioboro.
