Iraklis Apartments
"Lovely basic Greek self catering apartments, clean pool area with plenty of comfy sunbeds. Reasonable pool but for drinks and snacks. Everything you need for a good base to go our abd about. Good location to bars and resturants over the main road but there us an underpass if it's busy. Friendly owners Maria and Stavros are really helpful. We would stay again. Thanks laura and Mike."
Golden Bee Lifestyle
"We had a wonderful stay at Golden Bee Hotel in Stalida! The perfect location, just a short walk from the center and only a few steps from the sea, made our holiday even more special. We loved the modern facilities, the exceptional cleanliness, the peaceful atmosphere, and the delicious food. Every detail reflects quality and luxury, making this hotel the perfect choice for a relaxing and unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!"
Astir Studios
"A charming little private hotel, about a 5-10 minute walk from the beach, family-run, breakfast is fantastic, small but lovely rooms, cozy outdoor area with either a balcony or a small separate terrace - we will definitely come back."
Dionysos Apartments & Studios
"My wife and I stayed at the Dionysos Apartments during an 8-day trip to the beautiful Island of Crete in mid-May 2024. We had previously stayed here in May 2016, when the apartments were owned by a different family. We always do a little research on trip advisor and other websites prior to booking, and we saw that the Dionysos Apartments had availability and been taken over by a different family, the reviews looked good, and we knew the area so booked up straight away. The main Stalis area (bars & majority of restaurants) is a nice 10-minute walk along the ocean front. We booked a double bed apartments with pool view. The big double bed along with the pillows were extremely comfortable and the apartment was more than big enough for the both of us and the AC was good. During our 8 days stay the room was cleaned every other day and the towels and the bedding were changed regularly. There was a TV in our lounge area, but we didn't switch it on so can't comment on channel availability or languages available. Please note that for some reason it is the norm in Cretan accommodation for there to be no shower curtain place, resulting in the bathroom floor becoming soaked. This is Crete wide and not just at the Dionysos. We felt both comfortable and safe and the whole studio was impeccably clean as was everywhere in and around the complex including the immaculate pool area. The pool (9am - 8pm / kid friendly) and surrounding area are impeccably clean as is the well-stocked bar which is open from 9am until the last person leaves. Drinks are reasonably priced as is the bar menu (breakfast/lunch/dinner) and the outside eating area is a great little social meeting place. Sunbeds and umbrellas are free to use and there is more than enough to go around for all residents. We had everything we required from a self-catering apartment and if there was something we needed or advise required then we only had to ask Eli the owner or one of her family members (mum, dad, sister, husband) who help run this small family business. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay, yes, the accommodation is basic, but if you want 5-star accommodation, you're going to have to pay 5-star prices. At the Dionysos you get clean, basic, well-maintained accommodation in a beautiful little complex with a fantastic Cretan friendly family feel at a fair price."

"Had an amazing time here at this hotel ! So relaxing and the entertainment was fab with my friend. Really enjoyed our stay . Thank you!"
Kapetánissa Concept Studios
"Absolutely fabulous stay! This was our first time staying at these beautiful new concept studios in the heart of Stalis, tucked away behind Faces Bar, and we couldn’t have been more impressed. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that every detail had been carefully thought out. The studio is modern, spotlessly clean, stylishly decorated and exceptionally well equipped. It really is a home from home. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need, including a toaster, kettle, full-size fridge freezer with complimentary bottled water, a filtered water tap, hob, toastie maker, coffee machine with pods, pots and pans, and thoughtful extras such as tea, olive oil, vinegar, salt and the most delicious local honey I’ve ever tasted. There are plenty of little touches that make all the difference, including an iron and ironing board, making it perfect for both short and longer stays. The bed deserves a special mention. It was incredibly comfortable, and the four luxurious pillows genuinely felt like sleeping on clouds. We both had an amazing night’s sleep every night. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Stalis, with everything you need just a short walk away, yet the studio is peaceful and relaxing. We honestly couldn’t fault our stay. The accommodation exceeded our expectations in every way, and we would not hesitate to return. If you’re looking for high-quality, modern accommodation with exceptional facilities and thoughtful touches, this is the place to stay. Highly recommended!"
Stalis Hotel
"Perfect place to relax, very kind hotel staff, clean rooms, tasty food and beer, the location is perfect, very close by the beach, and also the pool bar my favorite place, and the barman Arian very kind person, every drink came with a joke or a laugh. Also its on the main strip of stalis, so even during the evening you can go take a walk around busy stalis streets with shops, food. Enyoing my stay here."
Zeus Hotels Palm Beach
"Arrived 17th September. The room was dated and on the first night the bathroom flooded, water came through the smail drain on the floor, at first reception told me just to leave it and let it run away until I insisted someone looked at it as it would happen everyday. It was fixed. The food. Breakfast was mediocre, the juices were left to run out and they didn't seem to want to refil them, the evening meal was awful, one night it tasted like they had spilt the salt into the food. The dining room is like a canteen. We ended up eating out even though we had paid for half board. The barman, on our first day seemed chatty but for the rest of the week you was lucky to get a grunt out of him. It's location on the beachfront cannot be faulted but there are plenty of properties along the front on the beach, I recommend you look elsewhere."

Eurohotel Katrin Hotel & Bungalows
"A very nice break at the hotel, perfectly positioned with Stalis resort being no more than a three minute stroll away. The only slightly disappointing thing was our room with a private plunge pool. There was a tree slap in the middle of the decking area meaning the pool and the decking weren't used by us at all during the two weeks we stayed as the pool never got any sun to heat it up plus it was a constant battle with the leaves. All of the staff were very friendly the night porter was a great help when we arrived and the restaurant manager Georges introduced himself to us the following morning and showed us where everything was. The bed was very comfortable in the room and even though our room was next to the bar area, it was fairly quiet, although could hear some noise from people up until around 1am on some nights but it was only brief and we had only just got in ourselves. Although we were All Inclusive we ate out each night as that is what we prefer to do. The breakfast and lunch was great, always plenty to choose from and for all diets catered for. There are loads of restaurants and bars in Stalis to choose from and we ate in a different one each night. If you need other types of milk, e.g. Oat Milk just ask Georges and he will get it for you as they don't put out any other milk other than cows milk. Unfortunately we couldn't get a late check out as the hotel was full but a shower room was available. However, we opted to leave early as we had a car and took the opportunity to explore the island after breakfast before out 10pm flight. Thank you for a great stay"
Nikos Apartments
"Not a good experience really, the room we had was nothing like the rooms advertised or reviewed on here. It was dark, drab and dirty. The kitchen had grease and grime around worktops, cooker hood and fridge. There were stains on the floor near fridge. The cupboards were dirty and had not been cleaned. The wardrobes were shabby and had screws sticking out where the door knob used to be. The shower squirted everywhere, even onto the electric extractor, and the floor flooded every time you used it so was a slip hazard. The pool area looked ok at first, but some of the beds were broken and the grass was growing long under the sunbeds so not as manicured as the photos. I am sure the other rooms were fine, just be careful as you might not get what you are expecting. From my experience, I would not recommend this accommodation. I am more annoyed with Thomas Cook though as they cancelled our original hotel a week before our holiday, and put us in Nikos. If our room had been like the pictures on their website we would of been happy, but it wasn't. I think its false advertising on their part, and they don't care. I paid for a far better hotel."
Eleni Beach Hotel
"This hotel is as close to holiday heaven as you can get. The entertainment keeps everyone smiling, from morning aerobics to tribute shows at night. Our keycard didn’t work properly one evening, but David personally sorted it out, walking us to reception and ensuring we got new cards immediately. The restaurant had plenty of choice each day, and the bar was a fun place to unwind after dinner. David’s presence throughout the stay made us feel well looked after."
Riviera Beach Hotel
"My wife stayed here during a 4 day stay in Stalida. The hotel was located on the main stirp with all the store and restaurants and was walkable to multiple restaurants and bars. While Stalida nightlife tended more towards an older crowd (55+) there was a bus stop near the hotel to go to the nightlife in Malia which tended be younger. The hotel had a private beach club that was steps away from our room which was nice. Each room had private lounger for the second floor rooms and patios for the first floor rooms. Our reservation came with free breakfast which was pretty basic greek fare with made to order omelets. The only complaint we had was that our room (204) the hot and cold water was switched in the shower. The staff forgot to tell us when we checked in and we thought it was broken."
Latania Apartments
"2nd visit to Latania & definitely not the last. You can see why everyone returns here. We stayed in s/c rooms, didn't cook but everything is there if you were to. Bed comfortable, rooms cleaned daily, fresh towels & bedding. Had breakfast at the pool bar a few days, couldn't fault it. Didn't stay around the pool as more of a beach person, but pool area always clean & plenty of sunbeds. All of the staff were welcoming & friendly. Will definitely return."
Hotel Thisvi
"We have just spent a thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable stay at the Hotel Thisvi in Stalida, Crete. This is a small family owned and run hotel that still retains a traditional feel. The rooms are comfortable with a fridge and aircon and ours had a beautiful sea view. A great continental buffet breakfast and Free WiFi around the hotel and in the fab pool area which overlooks the sea. The location of the hotel is perfect, about a 5 minute walk from the main bars and restaurants but lovely and peaceful in the evenings. The family that run the hotel are so lovely, quiet but kind, generous and helpful. If you are looking for a peaceful, simple traditional Greek hotel in a stunning location then look no further. We will be returning in future years. 😊"

Cactus Beach Hotel
"The pink Wave Team is very friendly and I had so much fun with them I had a really Great Time at the Cactus Beach hotel"
I Resort Beach Hotel & Spa
"Just back from a lovely week at this hotel wouldn’t say it’s a 5 star though. The food is not very hot and could do with more options. We also didn’t agree with the young girl frying the eggs in the morning and using the same spatula to turn the pancakes just thinking of people with allergies and it’s not very hygienic. Also the floor was being mopped at 7.30 when we were entering for breakfast not good as the floor was slippery. It says there are 4 fancy eateries when in fact one is a snack bar converted to an Al a carte in the evening another is a roof top restaurant what you have to pay for another one was not open as it was to hot in there. The rooms are lovely rooms and are always clean not much storage space but you can manage. The night time entertainment was in the main bar very loud and not very entertaining The staff are very friendly and helpful Have stayed in better 4 star hotels"
Cactus Royal Spa & Resort
"First and foremost, I would like to commend the spa team. They were very professional, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. Albana, in particular, really tailored the massage to my needs, and I felt I was in excellent hands. Highly recommended!"
Minois Boutique Hotel - Adults Only
"Great location, walkable to many restaurants and beach. Excellent service and amazing breakfast!"
Amazones Villas Apartments
"If your face fits you will fit in well and if also go back year after year you will definatly fit in well in this hotel. The owners don't like you to complian and if you do he gives you a right attitude. The rooms are very dirty and minging and dated. We paid for Bed and Breakfast BREAKFAST Continental haha Greek Yoghurt with honey. Cheese,Tomato,Hard Boiled Egg,Ham,Toast. NO Fruit or any thing else you would expect and if you wanted a cooked breakfast have to pay extra for it. BEDROOM were dusty and never been cleaned all the time we were there the mattress are full of marks. Bedding and towels changed every 3 days. 2 single beds which were bunk beds seperated. KITCHEN was greasy and full of dirt couldn't make anything to eat due to rusty cutlery and the cups had never been washed and the bench was all stained and small. The microwave still worked when you opened the door also the enamel missing from inside. The draw where the pans were which looked like they had seen better days all I can say it looked like mouse dropping inside. No washing up liquid provided so had to buy our own. BATHROOM The toilet was dirty especially around the rim and the toilet seat. The seal around the toilet and shower all full of mould and dirty. The shower tray was full of yellow marks also the sink was full of yellow marks and dirty. The shower leaked all over the floor when used if and if you are tall you can move the shower head also the more water pressure the shower head moved itself. LIVING AREA The room had a door which was a connecting door to next appartments bedroom which we were able to hear everything and mean everything. The settee cover was dirty and dusty and seen better days. There was a broken socket just left open. The curtain on patio doors was full of marks. The tv had 2 english channels bbc news and sky news. If you want a view well this is not the hotel you want as you look at the back of another hotel. POOL AREA was relevantly clean but sunbeds were dirty yes people lie on them all season but nothing a rub down with soapy water from the owners will cure at least once a week. Crazy golf unusable. DON'T WANT OR EXPECT 5☆ LUXURY JUST WANTED TO BE CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE AND BE ABLE TO MAKE A SANDWICH WHEN WE WANTED ONE."
Maria Lambis Apartments
"Never been before but will come again. Clean, spacious, quiet, and pleasant helpful staff. Set up from the road and perfectly positioned to the south of the resort... Great room with large lounge/small kitchen area, good shower and toilet and large bedroom and Balcony. Was at the very back of the apartment blocks, and there were a lot of steps leading to it. It wasn't a problem for me, but could be for others I guess..... So well worth a stay here and recommend. One improvement they may consider is to supply toppers for the sunbeds....."
Alai, Crete, a Tribute Portfolio Resort
"This hotel is in a good location Just on the " high Street" Staff is polite and very helpful, food delicious well catered for vegetarians if you let them know, always clean, very relaxing, worth visiting, the bar area as enough shade if do not wish to stay on the sun, acess to the beach with sun beds, we loved it definetly coming back."
