"What can I say, arrived with a level of scepticism as I always do with all inclusive but there was no need, as everything from the first greeting at reception, to the beautifully presented and clean room to the food and drinks everything was great. Of particular note are the staff, especially in the restaurant. George and Erini ( apologies if the names/ spellings are slightly wrong!) who were absolutely amazing. Nothing was too much trouble, their whole approach to customer service was first class. The whole resort is immaculately clean and well presented with lovely rooms, pool and sun loungers. The only very very slight thing would be it says it has a gym, which technically it does, but leave your gym kit at home and just enjoy the poolside instead Overall a great resort, fantastic staff and great value for money."

"another cracking stay with maria /stavros at iraklis apartments bus stop 29 ,stalis,great pool ,lemons on the tree,we always have upper floor 1 bedroom apartment ,self catering ,we have been going since 2018,,bakery next door for bread ,and supermarket /butcher shop,just over the road ,,also very good supermarkets in malia a 5 min bus ride to get more variety ...we go to babel beach bar for swimming in the sea and wi fi /reading when sunbathing ,back for lunch in apartment and swim in pool or off out some where on the bus ,,maria always able to assist you what ever you need we love it there we get left alone to do what we want ,and we will go again and again ,,hope this october too we normally go 3/4 weeks april may and sept /oct ...weathers good over 3/4 weeks ,,22c-35c"

"We stayed at Heliotrope Apartments in July 2025 and unfortunately had a very unpleasant experience. The accommodation was extremely dirty – cockroaches were present in several areas of the apartment. Despite an immediate complaint on site, nothing was done, neither cleaning nor a room change. The staff showed absolutely no interest. The incident was also reported multiple times via the booking platform Agoda, including photographic evidence. Nevertheless, we were only offered a very small compensation, which in no way reflects reality. The apartment was unacceptable in this condition, and the provider's response was disappointing. I cannot recommend this accommodation and strongly advise caution when booking it."
