"Located in downtown Barrie, there are many restaurants and an Asian supermarket nearby. It’s also very close to the lakeside and the GO Train station. I stayed here twice because it’s hard to find such a cost-effective, clean, and comfortable hotel in Toronto. Many hotels in the Toronto area don’t allow you to open the windows, but here you can enjoy fresh air. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.❤️"

"We needed a room due to weather conditions and being from out of the area. We were attending my daughter's wedding and had to make some very last minute changes which included my dog. The Hampton Inn was very accommodating. The location was perfect, the food and staff at the Hamptons in Barrie were exceptional and the accommodation was perfect. I suffer from PTSD and having my dear dog with me has helped immensely when staying at a hotel. I was very thankful that I was able to have her there. The staff and other guests loved her as she is a very sociable girl. Thank you for helping me with my last minute dilemma.  I must commend all of your staff especially the lady who works preparing for the breakfast rush and doing double duty cleaning rooms. "When I arrived at the front desk at night, they kept saying they couldn't find the order. I was already very tired from coming from the airport. After going back and forth for more than half an hour and changing several people, I finally found the order, but I didn't even hear an apology. The living experience at night was also very bad. The hotel is close to the highway, and the glass windows are not soundproof at all. The whistling vehicles seriously disturbed my sleep. The next day, I communicated with the front desk whether I could change rooms, but I was told that all rooms were equally noisy. This is the answer I received. It seems that I can never book again in the future. The room was not cleaned at all the next day, and I don't know why. No one ever answered the front desk call from the room. The attitude of the front desk was also very unfriendly, no matter day or night. The only elevator kept making a loud noise and shaking a lot. The only bright spot, the swimming pool, was out of use and broken. In short, it was a very bad living experience. I really didn't like it, so I didn't take any photos."

"Unfortunately my stay was disappointing. The place turned out to be more la motel, not what was shown on Airbnb. The bed was uncomfortable, the room was very small, and the heater was extremely noisy. Overall, not a good experience"

"The road in front of the hotel is currently under repair and cannot be parked. Remember to enter from the square behind the hotel. The hotel's exclusive parking space is also behind the hotel. After parking, you can directly enter from the back door with the hotel nameplate. Warm reminder, the hotel is a 1920 building, there is no elevator indoors; it is best not to bring heavy boxes to live in, otherwise it will not be fun to move up a few floors~"

"Was overall good, but the heater in my room had a ticking sound that kept going off the middle of the night and we had trouble sleeping. Made a comment about it in the morning and didn’t seem like the front desk was going to do anything about it."

"Room was clean. Hotel was close to everything. We were late for breakfast but what we did get was pretty good and there was a variety of choices. If I’m ever in Midland again I will book with them"

"The Staff is excellent, polite and friendly and very helpful. The room was very clean! Close to restaurants and entertainment and very quiet! I give this hotel 10 plus! Location is great too. I forgot to mention that breakfast is free and delicious!"
