Best Western Silva Hotel

"May 17th John Powell called and confirmed a room for myself and he said he talked to the manager, booking for 5 days. He called again 10 minutes before I arrived to confirm and was told it was set. I was there for a funeral. When I got there, the lady at the desk was more than pleasant and actually should be the manager, told me she couldn't find me listed. I had John call to confirm we had the right place. I was standing right there. She called the manager and he said he would take care of it when he came in. He was not a nice person. John said he talked to the manager to book it. So it would have been him. He said he checked and there was no booking and the woman that answered the phone earlier was mistaken. I said ok, well we will wait til one was available then. He said NO, we are booked up. If he was a responsible manager he would have said let me find you another room in the area. But he just brushed me off. Rude I went to another hotel, hearing what Best Western did, gave me a room immediately and discounted."

"This hotel was the best one we stayed at during a two-week visit to Eastern Europe. The proprietors pay attention to every detail in making it an excellent hotel: Large room, very functional bathroom including the shower, two complementary bottles of water, extremely clean, outstanding service, breakfast with a nice variety of foods and eggs cooked to order, all measures expected to combat COVID including latex gloves for guests to serve themselves breakfast. Our room even had a balcony; unfortunately it was too cold to take advantage. It was very quiet both nights we stayed there. It is just a few minutes walk from the main city square. If you have a car, there is a parking lot right in front."

"Good service. Quiet location. Spacious rooms and comfortable beds. The family suite only has a refrigerator, and to get to the bathroom you have to go through one of the two bedrooms. There's no elevator. The location is remote; transportation is required to get to the historic center. Breakfast was generally good."

"The hotel is very modern and new. Although it is not placed in the old town, but it's only walk about 8mins to the bridge of lies. And walk about 15mins from the train station. The staff is helpful and will answer all questions"
