GUEST HOUSE SUGINOYA
"I was confused at an unmanned hotel, but the hotel itself was not bad."
Yuruino Yado Keizan
"My husband and I are enjoying staying at a hot spring inn. This time, we stayed at Esan-san, a 5-star inn. The first thing I noticed was that all the staff were young. Recently, hot spring inns are often staffed by older people and foreign trainees, but it's rare to see an inn with so many people working so hard to serve customers, so I hope they will try harder. The old inn itself seems to be in the process of being renovated. The hot spring and the room were clean and nice. For meals, we had food cooked by the hearth in a private room, but it was a bit unsettling because we had to grill it ourselves, and it was a bit disappointing that there was no rice. Rice is better than oyaki. If I visit again next time, I would like to have a kaiseki meal. For breakfast, I had a second helping of rice and it was delicious. I thought it was good for the price. There was no welcoming or seeing off, which felt a bit lonely, but it might be okay since you don't have to worry about anything."

"I'd give this hotel 10 stars! The service, food, and atmosphere were all incredibly professional and attentive. We visited during the off-season, and yet the quality of service was absolutely top-notch, which we really appreciated. One evening, we got back around 10 PM, and they waited until we confirmed we weren't going to use the hot springs before turning off the lights. The open-air hot spring was so relaxing!"
Otogitei Kofu
"Small Ryokan with Japanese authentic touch and friendly hospitality. We stayed here as we wanted to join the shuttle bus to Night Village tour. Unfortunately, it was difficult to contact the hotel to get included. I guessed you have to book directly to the hotel. However, once we arrived we quickly asked for the tour, sadly the shuttle was fully booked already. However, they arranged us the taxi roundtrip transfer with (according to meters) was about total 8,000 yen cost, plus gondola ticket to the hills. Though the hotel is looked traditional, but they use "Refa" hair dryer and shower at the onsen which i feeled impressed. The food both dinner and breakfast were good. We enjoyed the onsen and walking around Hirugami Onsen a lot."
Gekkabijin
"When my wife suddenly searched for the starry sky, I was able to take the inn of Mito Tsukishita. It was a very satisfying trip with hospitality to the lady general, Nakai, star sommelier, and everyone. The starry sky was cloudy at first and I couldn't see it, but as the sommelier said, the weather in the mountains was easy to change and when I went to see it again, the natural planetarium spread out and it was so beautiful that I forgot the time."
Oogute Kohan Shirasagi So
"Unique experience as the hotel has basic amenities. Meant for camping. Wash basin water is super cold. Bathroom and toilet is common. However the lake is beautiful and calm."
Yamaboshi
"Breakfast and dinner were both very good! The food was fresh."
Yumoto Hotel Achikawa
"The hotel offers a set menu with two meals included in one night's stay. The hot spring has several indoor and outdoor pools with excellent water quality. The hotel also has parking with ample spaces available."

"Pros: Value for money choice! Delicious dinner and breakfast. Good onsen bath too. Cons: Minimal hotel service. No Tatami bedding setup and towel change service on front desk request only."
Yura No Yado Seifuen
"The staff were very kind and polite. The food was even better than I expected. I would like to use it again if I have the chance."
Gessen
"I visited in mid-November, so there were no flowers blooming in the surrounding area, but there are peach blossom trees planted around the hotel, making it a wonderful location in April when the flowers bloom. The rooms are clean and the views from the rooms are great, a treat for the eyes. Next time, I'd like to stay in early April when the flowers are in bloom."
Fudo Onsen Hanabishi
"Had an unforgettable delicious dinner. No good for travelers using public transports. Kind enough to give a free-ride to the high way bus-stop from the hotel (about twenty minutes ride)."
Sekitaitei Ishida
"Some of the food can be even better"
Keigetsu Nicchoan
"A very good accommodation. The set meals for breakfast and dinner are very delicious and come in many varieties. The hot spring is a sulfur hot spring. There are not many people and it is very comfortable to soak in the hot spring. In the evening, they can also help buy tickets for stargazing, etc. The service is also very good. Overall, a very cost-effective accommodation. Well worth a stay"
KUROTAKE-Luxury Retreat, Hirugami
"An antique hot spring hotel, the room is large enough clean, hot spring pool is very comfortable, but the hotel has no facilities, and breakfast is general, nearby convenience stores and supermarkets are not, we did not eat dinner in the hotel, breakfast is relatively simple semi-buffet form, just want to be in the room"
glampark Gekkabijin Nagano
"Mother &son musicican runs the business. Mini concert held ever ly evening before stargazing activities. You can enjoy glamping fun accompanied hotel facilities at the same area."
