The living environment is very comfortable, and the transportation is convenient.

The room was comfortable, and breakfast was great! I'd definitely stay here again; the experience was excellent. It's in the city center, making it easy to get around, and right next to Takashimaya for convenient dining with plenty of options!

The environment and hygiene were both satisfactory, and the view was lovely. The location is excellent, right opposite Takashimaya and the Golden City Walk pedestrian street. Subway access nearby is fantastic, connecting you everywhere. The front desk service was very good, with quick and efficient responses. Aside from that, the soundproofing is a bit lacking; I was woken up in the morning by the sound of doors closing nearby. Also, the bathroom fixtures are a bit old, with some peeling paint on the metal.

The room facilities are complete, and the service is attentive. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, and the bedding is excellent and comfortable. There's a wide variety of TV channels, and the breakfast offers a rich selection of dishes in a comfortable dining environment.

I recently stayed for 9 days at the Joya Hotel in Gubei, Shanghai, and had a great overall experience. The hotel is modern, elegant, and exceptionally clean. My room was spacious, with a comfortable bed, a stylish bathroom, and great soundproofing — perfect for resting after long days in the city. The staff was friendly, professional, and always willing to help, even with limited English. The location in Gubei is fantastic — close to cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, and within walking distance to metro lines, making it easy to explore Shanghai. The area feels very safe and quiet, ideal for both business and leisure travelers. The daily housekeeping was consistent, and small details like free water and well-maintained amenities made the stay even better. Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, which was important for work. Overall, Joya Hotel offers excellent value, comfort, and convenience — I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel's ambiance, service, and location are all excellent. The facilities are comprehensive, with a gym and spa available. The spa was very comfortable. Highly recommend!

A rather unpleasant stay. I checked in during September, and frankly, a room rate of over 2000 was not justified by the comfort it offered. The air conditioning vent was directly above the head of the bed, so I spent the entire night listening to the AC's noise and feeling the draft, which gave me a headache. I couldn't sleep a wink.

This was my first time staying at Gubei Xiyue, and from the moment I checked in, the service was incredibly thoughtful. The front desk staff even offered disposable hand wipes and cold brew tea, which was a really nice touch. The room facilities were all clean and well-equipped. Excellent value for money!

Traveling with two families and kids, we had a one-day layover in Shanghai. The Xi Yue Hotel provided an excellent experience. First off, the location is incredibly convenient, very close to the subway station, making it easy to get anywhere. It's also right next to a large shopping mall, which is great for dining and shopping. Most importantly, the hotel experience itself was fantastic. The front desk staff and security were proactive and warm in their service. The room facilities and amenities were complete and high-end – even the faucets and showerheads were from Hansgrohe, making them very pleasant to use. There were smart toilets, and the toiletries, tea sets, and even the furniture and decor in the lobby tea area were all from the Hermès Around series, showing great taste. The bedding and pillows were also very comfortable. A truly great experience.

I was on a solo hotel staycation, keeping the budget under 1000 RMB. It was my first time at Xiyue, and it offered good value for money. The location is also quite convenient; Takashimaya is just across the street, and Soho is next door, with a few decent restaurants and a Yangzhou cuisine spot upstairs that even offers in-room delivery at a reasonable price, unlike some chain five-star hotels. They also deliver takeout right to your door, which is super convenient. Interestingly, higher-end places often make you go down to a locker for your takeout, which can be quite a hassle when you have to change out of your pajamas! So, I really think this place is excellent! For its price point, the room felt a little small, but the shower stall was genuinely spacious! The vanity area was also very comfortable. However, compared to other hotel rooms of this size, I found it a bit more cramped than I expected! I enjoy relaxing in a bathtub, which is a slight letdown here. But for this price and in Shanghai, I think it's really good! Xiyue will definitely be my top choice for my next solo hotel stay! I had a very comfortable solo stay this time around! It would honestly be perfectly fine for two people as well.

Environment: Right next to Takashimaya, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient. The subway is the best way to get around. There are also many coffee shops nearby. Facilities: The room was very quiet and spacious. I received a free room upgrade at check-in, which was a nice bonus.

Everything was great, and the breakfast was good too! 👍
