99inn Selected (Shanghai People's Square) - Photo Gallery

Hotel ontside is renovating (August 2025), I feels a little bit scary, but nothing happen. My foom not far from Front Desk, so might noicy at night. Overall is good.

I don't recommended this place at all .. I've stayed many hotels in my life and never have I had such a problem with a room card than I have at this place I misplaced my card for the room and was immediately told I would have to pay 50 yuan ! For a piece of plastic that is not even worth 1 yuan ... I told the guy this is a bit crazy as they can just give another one it's not like I lost a actual key which I understood but this is just a plastic card .. that they can just give another one .. he then proceeded knocking on my door and insist I pay 100 yuan deposit as he probably didn't trust me to pay the 50 .. it is pathetic and also the room is full of mosquitos .. so tiny ... And dark dingy and damp .. the whole place needs a renovation .. I am disappointed in how someone can charge such a big fee for a room card and don't agree with it all and simply don't recommend it .. there's other places in similar location that are better to stay at.. even the man that was checking my passport just started to go through all the pages when he simply just needed to check my visa .. luckily for me it was only one night and would never return again or recommend .. they have a long way to go in terms of customer service ..

It's not exactly in the heart of Shanghai, but it's easily accessible. It's only an eight-minute walk from the subway. If you're a solo traveler like me who only showers and sleeps in hotels, I highly recommend it. You know Shanghai is generally expensive, right? Accommodation is also relatively expensive in China. So, all things considered, this hotel is highly recommended. It has everything you need, the staff is friendly, and I had a great night's sleep. Thanks to you, I had a wonderful time in Shanghai. Service: The front desk service was abysmal. I've never seen a hotel in Shanghai say that a Shanghai ID card issued by a foreign government government cannot be used. They said it varies from district to district. I really should call the police station to ask. They used Alipay to find my electronic ID card, took a photo, and then took my phone to look at my messages. I told them I'd share my messages, but they told me to look at them myself. What a ridiculous attitude for a receptionist! The front desk staff can see guest messages, but they kept asking us what the room price was and what the current price was. It was ridiculous. The room was poorly soundproofed. At around 9 a.m., the unrefined receptionist started making loud noises in the hallway, and I could clearly hear what she was saying. Cleanliness: The room was poorly maintained. The air conditioner was old and made a regular clicking sound that woke people up. Amenities: The bathroom drain was clogged, and the water flow was slow. The shower gel and shampoo were subpar products, there was no comb, very little paper, and only one bath towel for two people. There was only one outlet in the room and no hair dryer. The hallway was very dirty, dusty, and moldy.

Staying at the 99 Select Hotel was great. The location is perfect, just a few hundred meters from the subway station, making it very convenient to get around. It was excellent, and the price was very reasonable. The front desk lady was very welcoming. Seeing I was traveling with my children, she gave me a large room. The toilet and towels were also very clean. Overall, the price was well worth it. We traveled to Shanghai with our children, but the weather was a bit too hot. We took photos of the Shanghai Three-Piece Set and the Wukang Building, and took the 2 yuan/person ferry. The photos on the ferry were really good. Shanghai's buildings are all very beautiful. I recommend fully charging your phone before going out to take photos!

The accommodation is very close to the bus station and subway. Although the room is small, it is very clean and there is someone at the counter. It is highly recommended for solo travelers with small luggage. It is cost-effective.

The family went out for fun and had a great time. The hotel is located in the city center and the price is affordable. It is very satisfactory and close to Joy City. It is a good choice for going anywhere. It is highly recommended. I will choose to stay here again next time if I have the chance.
