Good Location and Service, but the Hotel Shows Its Age This five-star hotel offers a very convenient location- just a short walk to the subway and close to the city’s commercial district - making it ideal for travelers who value accessibility. The service is another highlight. The staff were courteous and professional throughout my stay. Special thanks to Hank at the concierge desk, whose friendly and efficient assistance with everything from luggage to local recommendations made a real difference. Unfortunately, the hotel’s age is starting to show. My room had a noticeable musty smell, likely due to old carpeting or ventilation issues. Opening the windows didn’t help much. The bathroom was quite outdated, with a cramped shower and poor drainage that led to standing water. Other signs of wear included worn furniture, a jammed curtain track, and a loose bedside power outlet. Breakfast was underwhelming, with limited options that didn’t change over my three-day stay. The hotel does offer full amenities, but many are clearly in need of an update. Overall: If convenience and attentive service are your main priorities, this hotel still has much to offer. But if you’re looking for modern comforts and a well-maintained environment, newer options nearby might be a better fit.
