Considering that the hotel is located in a Shanghai-listed historic building (the former site of the Meifeng Bank, designed by Wu Daqian), some facility renovations are restricted by historical preservation requirements. However, we would like to share our improvements: • Windows, Mattresses, and Sockets: The broken windows you mentioned have been immediately repaired and replaced; all mattresses have been fitted with compliant bed frames. Due to the structural constraints of the historic building, optimizing the placement of sockets is somewhat challenging, but we have added portable sockets and other convenient features for your convenience. • Soundproofing and Wood Safety: To preserve the original appearance of the historic building's walls, extensive demolition and modification are not possible. We are currently improving soundproofing by installing reversible sound insulation felt and sealing strips. The wood in the rooms is original to the building and, for preservation, must be retained. We have carefully sanded and treated all wood to prevent splinters. • No elevator and luggage assistance: Due to the approval and construction specifications for historical protected buildings, the installation of an elevator must comply with strict cultural relics protection requirements, which is not possible at present.
