Mercure Shanghai Lujiazui Center Reviews

Room is big and clean. It comes with free snacks in the mini bar. Staff is friendly. Overall is good. The metro station is just next to the hotel, few steps away from the hotel lobby. Convenient.

Very nearby the line 2,14 and 11 metro lines, nearby Lujiazui Center and the hotels are tidy, the bedroom and bathroom are very amazing so clean, if you want to stay in Shanghai, i recommend it so much!

Everything was fine. Location is close to line 14 at South Pudong Road, Line 2 is farther away but not an issue really. Only problem was that there someone smoking in the room (room number in the image) during first days and smell spread to other rooms and hallways.

Unfortunately, our stay at this hotel was disappointing. One unexpected detail was that you need to pay extra just to get a room with windows, which felt misleading. As is generally the case in China, the staff didn’t speak English — which we understand — but beyond the language barrier, the service was slow and not very helpful when it came to solving basic issues. The name of the hotel can also be confusing, especially for international travelers. There are several Mercure hotels in the area, and if you’re not paying close attention, it’s easy to end up at the wrong one. The worst part of our stay was breakfast. The overall quality was poor, and to make matters worse, I bit into a piece of glass that was in the cereal. The hotel’s reaction was far from satisfactory — they offered a small discount on the room, but the way they handled the situation and communicated with us left a lot to be desired.

Hotel very close to pearl tower and very near to many malls in lu jia zui

The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. They even upgraded the room for me when they knew that I was travelling with my 7 yrs old son. The room was neat and tidy. It even has a small gym and a laundry area. Very near to the metro station too. Near the shopping district too

This hotel is in a very good and convenient location in the center of Shanghai. The staff are very attentive and very polite.

The place is clean but the cleaning service of the room did not finish the job, just change the towels and make the bed. The receptionist were very friendly and helpful. The tv is just Chinese and only if u got WeChat app can connect to ur device. However the breakfast and snacks were average.

Very friendly staff, specially the ladies at the reception (give me every time a bottle of water, when I speak to them). The hotel is located next to a metro station. The room is spacious and clean. Free drinks and snacks in the room. Also free laundry service available (self service). The room isn’t very well sound proof. There were earplugs in the room available :) For foreigners not speaking Chinese can be challenge (staff doesn’t speak English well). Overall had a good stay and could have a late check out (2pm).

The location and metro accessibility is truly fantastic! The price is slightly high for the quality, however the accessibility and connection with the metro makes up for this. Rooms are clean, I believe there are only 5 floors close to the ground so no endless waiting on elevators and overal convenient if you need to be in the Lujiazui area. Would recommend for short and long-stay!

Good location, clean, comfortable. Breakfast place very small, at rush hours no place to sit.

Great things: The water pressure of the shower was really good. Room was quiet, tv was a smart tv where you could connect your phone for your own entertainment. There was a robot which would deliver my food deliveries. Amenities were always refreshed. There was a washing machine which you could use for free. Entrance of the metro station is like 1 minute away. You get an 'electricity' card so that there will always be electricity on in your room. So when you come back to your room from a hot day. you will get in a cool room. Not so nice things: English capabilities from the staff. (i had a local friend which helps me translate thus i didn't have problem, but can imagine other foreigners can have difficulties checking in) The view of the room was to another building, thus very dark.
