Holiday Inn Express Hotels in Shanghai

Very nice hotel, great area with shops and restaurants near by, friendly and nice hotel staff, clean and nice room. Highly recommended also very convenient location not far from Shanghai Railway Station, and a metro station close by. Convenient location to travel to downtown and a cheap price. A 10/10. I really enjoyed my experience.

Great stay again ! Happy to return back to this hotel. Convenient location for leisure and business mix. To get to both hong qiao , Pudong and downtown via taxi or metro which is about 5-10 mins walk. Staff are super helpful with any enquiries, courier help and welcoming - makes you feel at home away from home. View from the back is local hood, front is park, they don’t allow outsiders to roam around upstairs , deliveries are by robot to the rooms. Small self service laundry down stairs with a few cardio machines.

Let me give you some comments. The room is OK, but the outside is dead. 1. The picture uploaded shows a spider web hanging under the spotlight in front of the toilet sink. After two days of living, the spider web is still there. 2. This time I lived on the third floor. There was a stench when I got out of the elevator. It was still there until I walked to the door of the room. It should be the whole corridor that was filled with this disgusting smell, the kind of stench from the kitchen. Fortunately, there was no such stench in the room. 3. There was no screen on the window of the room. The window was opened a crack for ventilation, and a lot of moth flies came in. I killed about 10 in the middle of the night. 4. When I was using the computer at the desk, the table was always shaking, and I heard the next door tenant making noises. I started using the computer in the afternoon and it was like this until midnight. 5. I checked in from October 25th to 27th. The weather was getting colder. I turned on the hot air conditioner, but it didn't give out any heat. 6. Breakfast? I went there at 10 o'clock. The fried rice was hard, so I covered it.

The supposedly ‘Superior Room’ has a big wall at where the window should be, only got 2 tiny vertical window panes instead of a big window, very little sunlight. Disappointed with the room given by the front desk. Also the room had a buzzing sound all night, don’t know what machine was operating there… pretty sketchy. However the staff attitude was good. After my wife complained about the room noise (which bothered her more than the small windows) they requested to change our room, but we already opened our luggages and settled so we politely turned down the offer. Else we would have changed to another room. Otherwise it was a pretty decent stay. 20min by taxi from Pudong and 5min walk to the metro (although we didn’t venture this time), the breakfast was decent too. M

Location was convenient for Disney. We didn't explore the area around the hotel at all. The rooms were nice and clean with typical amenities. The breakfast was mostly Chinese style with a few bread options. There is a train that passes nearby that could cause a noise disturbance if your room is facing it. My room was not and I thought it was nice and quiet. Overall I'd stay here again if I was going to Disney.

A staycation needed due to loud neighbors in my district! Simple, clean, mostly quiet, and the decent staff understood some English. The breakfast, which is normally large with many choices at this chain in China, had few options and was put away early if the both mornings of my stay. The location was good, with a mall and shops around, which I enjoyed. Close enough to sightseeing as well. Nice large shower and good toiletries. For the price, I may stay again if need be. A comfortable spot with no frills. As a former manager of IHG in the US, I was neither impressed nor underwhelmed. That said, this could be an exceptional, budget-friendly hotel with just a few minor changes. Either way, I would recommend to anyone one a business trip or that just needs a night or two away with no extras.

Overall, I was deeply impressed by this hotel, whether it was the clean and sanitary environment, the excellent service level or the delicious breakfast, I was very satisfied. I will highly recommend it to my friends and family so that they can also experience the wonderful feeling brought by this hotel.

It is a very comfortable hotel in Shanghai. We enjoyed our stay there and were pleased to notice that the premises are located in close proximity to the metro station as well as a couple of chain restaurants and a supermarket - everything to suit our needs. The staff was super friendly and allowed to keep our luggage for a couple of hours after checking out to help with our travel plan. Moreover, they rushed to help when we needed basic things like umbrella or checking out our air conditioning.

Location quite off the city. But with 滴滴 services is still very convenient, around the hotel have some food store and a super-mart selling fruit and bread. So basic needs is available. Hotel staff very polite. The housekeeping lady also very nice she will greet me whenever she saw me. Overall I like my stay in this hotel. Will choose here again when I visit Shanghai again.
