I recently stayed at the Crowne Plaza Hotel and had an overall decent experience. The location was outstanding, just a short walk to the main shopping street and conveniently close to the metro station. While the room was on the smaller side compared to other hotels, it was reasonable for the price. The property shows its age, and cleanliness was average, but acceptable.
What truly stood out was the service. The staff were warm and accommodating, offering a complimentary late check-out and a thoughtful birthday surprise for my friend, including a cake, fruit platter, and a handwritten note which was an unexpectedly delightful gesture.
The only letdown was breakfast, which had limited options and felt underwhelming. That said, the attentive service and prime location made up for it.
The hygiene is not up to the five-star standard. When I took up my bathrobe to take a shower at night, there was a stain on the shoulder. The wardrobe is open. Didn't the aunt see it when she changed in? Didn't the second inspection see it? Or was it just a formality? The funniest thing is that when I reported this problem to the man at the front desk, he just shook his head and didn't give any answer. He just kept saying that this is not a problem for the hotel. Is this the employee training of a five-star hotel? They are so perfunctory in the visible parts, and I dare not think about the invisible parts.

It's a lovely Ski Resort, the snow world and water park are just next door. Very close to the airport but far away from rest of the main attractions.
Staffs are friendly and helpful, need to give a special thanks to Jansen who helped with my check in, and prior to my check in he's been very helpful and attentive to all my questions and requests. Gary was another staff I like to give praise to. Then there's another lady but I didn't remember her name.
Then there's a gentleman at the lobby, who's very professional, supportive and very patient with my broken Mandarin, who helped me ship out some of our belongings. Mr Dai (戴先生)
We stayed for 3 nights, it was a one night stay and eventually we spent the whole weekend at the resort, so didn't get to see Shanghai much. My kid said the world park isn't cold but nothing much to do, mant rides and facilities are shut down (maybe bevause of winter time?) turned into 3 nights, Ski park ticket is 30%+ more expensive during the weekends.
I had a terrifying experience at the help desk from the Ski park though, very unprofessional staff. Otherwise, rest are great.
Love our room type, the bath tub is basically a mini spring, highly recommend to take a hot bath each night. Nice decor, clean and bright. Nice chilling lobby.
Breakfast is wonderful, wide selections.
Lunch set and a-la-carte menu are both ok.
Dinner buffet sucks though, I will stay away from the dinner buffet if possible! Food are all dried up, crab legs is a joke, food presentation not appealing, not many options.
The operations and management of the dining definitely need some work done. Only one dining place, lobby offers refreshment only.
But overall, is a great hotel, friendly and supportive staffs, clean, and no smokes!!!!
The room is big, but generally speaking, it is an old hotel and cannot be compared with new hotels. The breakfast has rich varieties and the stay experience is quite good. Fudan University is next to the hotel, which has a very cultural atmosphere.

Overall, very good. We paid a premium compared to other local hotels based on a larger room, as well as past experiences in other cities. Given the price, it was good. Not outstanding value for money though.
Cleanliness and service responsive was very good. Facilities were the only item rated lower. This was due to the elevator not working, fortunately while we were only waiting in the lobby, and the massage chair in the room not turning on. Admittedly, we didn’t ask about it and we weren’t expecting it in the room either. We just used it as an arm chair.
Location is fine if you’re taking taxis/Didi. About a 10min walk to the subway otherwise.

Returned for the first time since 2021 and it remains an excellent hotel. IHG membership was added at check-in after booking with Trip and status applied. The recent refurbishment and rebrand has improved the lobby area & breakfast restaurant, and the rooms are comfortable with a powerful shower. Breakfast was generally excellent, hot food was actually hot (!) with plenty of choice. There is plenty of local food in the nearby streets which is great value. There's also a shopping mall close by with restaurants downstairs. It's a short walk to the Line 13 metro which is a 30 minute ride into the city centre, with Line 7 a 10-15 minute walk away. It's an easy 35min taxi from Pudong Airport. The only issue was the room was pretty hot, and while you can open a small window, in November it's still pretty warm outside and there was no cool air from the air-conditioning system. Thanks to Andy and Sunny for looking after us. We'll be back!

An excellent hotel to stay, if you know how to get around it is easy to get to the hotel by the train from Shanghai pudo international airport to Hongqiao airport , especially during the day when the traffic conditions are bad, please asking for a direction from the hotel
Stayed here to watch the Volvo China Open. The hotel environment is good, the breakfast is rich, and the room is clean. Xiao Zhao at the guest service center is very enthusiastic. Contact in advance to remind some accommodation precautions. The hotel experience and watching the performance of Chinese players up close is a perfect combination.

The hotel's appearance is unique, magnificent and elegant. As you enter the lobby, you will be greeted by a luxurious and warm atmosphere. The warm reception of the staff is refreshing, and their friendly smiles and professional service attitude have left a deep impression on me from the beginning.
The room is spacious and bright, and the layout is exquisite and elegant. Every corner is spotless, and the bed is soft and comfortable, as if you are in the clouds. The facilities in the room are not only complete but also of high quality.
The hotel's catering is unique. The breakfast is rich and varied, with fresh fruits, exquisite pastries, and steaming porridge to meet the needs of various tastes. The dishes in the Chinese restaurant are delicious and the authentic flavor is memorable. The atmosphere of the Western restaurant is romantic and elegant, and the food and environment complement each other.
The leisure facilities are also very complete. The gym has advanced equipment and the swimming pool has clear water. It is a great enjoyment to be able to relax here after a busy day.
Throughout the stay, the hotel's service has always been meticulous. Whether it is the patient answers at the front desk or the timely response of the room service, people feel real care.

GGuest UserThe front desk service is very good and the breakfast environment is good. There is a lake behind the hotel with a great lake view. Opposite is the Qingpu Library, which looks like a moored ship. Next time I check in, I will go there earlier, sit in the library, and watch the sunset over the lake.
