Half rest hostel Jongno Insa

We stayed in the room for the. Price / Value for this ho(s)tel is great. Location very good in terms of walking to other interesting places in the city, however in the direct vicinity of the hotel it looks a bit shady, but no issues whatsoever, does not feel unsafe or anything. I would stay here again. Approx. 1 km from the hotel there is a Korean Sauna place that costs around 15k Won, which is not bad. Amenities great, instant noodles, coffee, water free of charge, washing machine and dryer available for a small fee. We had everything we needed for a place where you go to sleep overnight. Some small things which could be improved: I could not find a shoe horn in the room, the lights panel shines during the night and I had to cover it with a T-shirt to have a better sleep, the AC does not smell good when turned to heating, but it might have been because of a smell from the outside (cannot say), so we didn’t use it (didn’t even need to since there was heating on in the building. When you open the window during the evening/night the smell from the outside isnt good unfortunately (during the day no bad smells and all good; this is not an issue of the hotel, but of the places around the hotel which look more like a street market (pictures attached). With that said, the hotel is really good for what you pay and I would stay here again without any problem.

I stayed here for 4 nights — 2 nights in an 8-bed room and 2 nights in a 4-bed room. I thought the 4-bed room would be larger since it’s listed as having the same area as the 8-bed room, but actually it was smaller. So, I would recommend booking the 8-bed room instead.One downside is that there’s no luggage room like other dorm-style hotels. We had to keep our luggage inside the room, and the lights were always dim — only small yellow lamps for each bed. I’ve never seen the main light turned on, and I couldn’t even find the switch for it. The staff can speak English and are generally very nice, except for one female staff member who couldn’t speak English well and was a bit rudeeeee after I checked out. What I liked the most is that they offer free instant noodles, which was a pleasant surprise. Anyway, I think the hotel really needs to build a luggage room, because guests currently have to keep their suitcases in the sleeping area — there’s literally no space for them, so I had to leave mine in the hallway.

Our stay was very pleasant! Convenient location, all clean and new, smiley faces of personnel. Free ramen, water, tea and coffee, laundry and drying self service machine for 4000 wons (prepare cash in case you want to do laundry at night bc no one can give you change). In our room there were fridge, hair dryer, toothpaste and toothbrushes, sleepers and very good bedding and towels. The double room not very big, but I knew that, I wish there was some more shelves on the walls for little things and clothes Highly recommend, especially for that price

An excellent hotel very close to Ikseon dong and other vibrant areas. The staff are helpful and friendly. The complimentary ramen and coffee is a nice touch!
