This homestay is an independent cabin with a swimming pool in the yard, which is very beautiful. The owner is Chinese and can speak Chinese. The communication is very smooth and considerate. It is a little far from Semporna town. If you want to go there, the owner will send a driver to pick you up. You can also make reservations to the airport or the pier, which is very convenient. Breakfast is a simple meal, all freshly made. It is relatively fresh and good. You can consult the owner if you have any questions in Semporna. He is super nice and has adopted a kitten. It is a very pleasant accommodation experience. Because the environment is relatively primitive, there will be many mosquitoes and small animals. It is normal to appear in the house. Bring mosquito repellents to be more comfortable. I hope the boss's business will be prosperous!

We were a group of 20 people, and everyone was very satisfied. The boss and his wife were very nice. They would arrange a car to pick us up when we went out, and it was very convenient to dry clothes. The suite-like room we booked also had a mahjong table, which was pretty good! We checked out at 12 o'clock on the last day, and then we were going to island hopping. We could leave our luggage at the front desk, and we were allowed to hang our wet clothes on the balcony and collect them when we came back. We also provided two rooms for our group to take a shower and change clothes when we came back. The service was really good! Then the boss could arrange a car to take us to the town to buy seafood, and then process it back to the resort for processing, and charge a processing fee! The cooking skills are good! After the meal, the kids were very leisurely!

It took nearly 20 minutes to check in. The toilet drain was clogged and water couldn't flow in. We had to find someone to fix it before we could use it. Booked here for the last night. The scenery is very nice. It has a different smell on cloudy and sunny days. There is a swimming pool by the sea. The only very bad thing is that I contacted the hotel by phone and emailed many times before checking in, but I didn’t receive any response. Because I have to take a boat to the island, there is a pier address, but even though I asked the locals, I couldn’t find this address. I tried to contact the resort but didn’t get any response, which led to a long search for the pier on the day of check-in. No one will take the initiative to contact you on the day of check-in.

If you buy seafood, the chef can process it for a fee. The hotel provides a car to the pier and town. If you tell the boss 30-40 minutes in advance, he will satisfy you. The local big grab seems to charge different fees according to different time periods. In addition, I forgot to bring my bag when I went out the next day after the first night of my stay. I found that my RMB and MYR were half gone when I came back at night. After telling the hotel, I would check the surveillance to help confirm. As a result, there was no feedback the next morning. I contacted Ctrip and they said that the hotel cooperated with me to call the police. I want to say that I am alone with my baby and I want to call the police. My personal safety is not worth mentioning compared to the 800 yuan. Why do I remember it so clearly? Because I ordered RMB myself the night before, and I also took the Malaysian ringgit in the town the night before, so I remember it clearly that half of it was missing. After arguing with the hotel manager for a long time, the hotel manager said that he would compensate me in full, but for various reasons, I took half, and told the hotel manager that the remaining half would be returned to me after you find the thief. In fact, the hotel cleaners are all locals, and they are really not worthy of any trust. There are two Chinese and one Malaysian Chinese in the hotel, and of course they are very nice. If the management of employees and the service during check-in can be strengthened, I believe that staying in this hotel in Semporna is a good choice.

Overall I enjoyed our stay in sky water villa. When I was booking I read the reviews also worried that they are a bit old, so that the houses might not be well maintained. But during my stay I feel like the houses are used but still in okay manner. The best thing for this hotel is that I think they have the best house reef, and you can see turtles at night from your balcany. I went snorkling a few times during my stay I saw quite a few clown fish aka nemo and many fishes and even a sea eel one day. They also provide “galss” kayak which you can watch sunset on it. And the best thing they offer is that the tours you book with the villa starts around 10 am, you can just get ready and wait in your room, and when the boat is here the staff will get you from your room, and you’ll finish the tour around 3-4 pm which is the afternoon tea time at the villa. Instead of in the town area you need wake up early and meet and wait at the jetty around 8:15 am . And power supply is stable just may be ocassion blackout but it would turn back on very soon. However I do think they need to clean their air con as the one in our room seems very dusty, we had to clean the filter ourselves, they were very dusty. And during the afternoon coz our villa faces the sunset direction the air con feels a bit not strong enough. And the aircon outer unit is installed right at the room’s wall so it’s a little bit noisy, I’d suggest why not just use a more powerful window unit instead. The food is so so, but it’s difficult to cater everyone’s preference for food. The hotel is not cheap and maybe not very cost effective compare to hotels in other places, but to be fair i think if you want to go to semporna, this might be a reasonable option as overall semporna and malaysia is very expensive for tourists. And i higly recommend to stay at least 2-3 nights instead of 1 night to fully enjoy and relax yourself.

Hotel staff decorated our room for anniversary celebration. Super thoughtful of them. They have different equipments for snorkelling and paddle board for free. Food is great. We had salted egg prawns for one night and steamed prawn with eggs the other night. Some hairs on the bedsheets though... Otherwise the room is very clean. Great air conditioner. There's tour for island visiting and jumping. We joined one for Timba Timba beach, MataKing Island and Pom Pom island. Dived twice and snorkelling for three times. Time well spent with skillful coach and complimentary underwater video taping and photo taking.

This is the second time I have come to Semporna. This time I brought a family of young and old to stay in this newly opened homestay. The house is simple and clean, and the kitchen utensils are complete. The backyard also has a washing machine so that we can wash the clothes... Great! The homestay is located in the town within a 5-minute walk and there are supermarkets, restaurants, pharmacies, etc... but the caring boss also provides a fixed shuttle bus to the dock area to avoid rushing in the morning! Because there are fewer tourists at the time of arrival, seafood is much cheaper than in peak season, so we cook by ourselves every day in the hotel. Semporna's fresh seafood paired with hometown taste really feels like home abroad!
