The water house rooms are beautifully decorated, and the blue sea and sky can be seen through the windows, making people feel like they are in a dream world. Here, you can also snorkel for free and experience the beauty of the underwater world. The owner of the water house is hospitable and attentive, and will also provide professional snorkeling guidance. Although my partner and I were injured during the trip because we are not good at water, the owner of the water house thoughtfully bandaged our wounds and treated them properly. All in all, this is a very good place worth recommending. The Crystal Water Villa in Semporna, Malaysia, boasts a charming jelly sea, a clean and hygienic environment. Overall I enjoyed our stay in sky water villa. When I was booking I read the reviews also worried that they are a bit old, so that the houses might not be well maintained. But during my stay I feel like the houses are used but still in okay manner. The best thing for this hotel is that I think they have the best house reef, and you can see turtles at night from your balcany. I went snorkling a few times during my stay I saw quite a few clown fish aka nemo and many fishes and even a sea eel one day. They also provide “galss” kayak which you can watch sunset on it. And the best thing they offer is that the tours you book with the villa starts around 10 am, you can just get ready and wait in your room, and when the boat is here the staff will get you from your room, and you’ll finish the tour around 3-4 pm which is the afternoon tea time at the villa. Instead of in the town area you need wake up early and meet and wait at the jetty around 8:15 am . And power supply is stable just may be ocassion blackout but it would turn back on very soon. However I do think they need to clean their air con as the one in our room seems very dusty, we had to clean the filter ourselves, they were very dusty. And during the afternoon coz our villa faces the sunset direction the air con feels a bit not strong enough. And the aircon outer unit is installed right at the room’s wall so it’s a little bit noisy, I’d suggest why not just use a more powerful window unit instead. The food is so so, but it’s difficult to cater everyone’s preference for food. The hotel is not cheap and maybe not very cost effective compare to hotels in other places, but to be fair i think if you want to go to semporna, this might be a reasonable option as overall semporna and malaysia is very expensive for tourists. And i higly recommend to stay at least 2-3 nights instead of 1 night to fully enjoy and relax yourself.

Value for money water house, Malay opened, better than those over-marketed water house, close to Bang Bang Island, water quality is extremely good, I jumped an afternoon of the sea, the scenery is very good, network pictures that real shots, no brain wash! That’s it! It should be noted that to communicate with the business in English, I am calling and sending a text message, let them pick me up at the pier, they will have a boat pick up at two points, the price is 100 ringgit round trip, do not ask the platform, call directly good! The hygiene is not bad, the water house can be considered above average! The main scenery is good and the price is good! !

This B&B has just opened for a short time. I was a little hesitant before booking because there were no reviews for reference. I didn't expect it to be so good. The store is actually the same as the picture. The hygiene, environment, and facilities are not to be mentioned. I am very satisfied. I especially want to mention the owner of the store. He is very nice and basically responds to any requests. It takes about 10 minutes to drive from the town, but you can pick up and drop off whenever you want to go to the town. It is recommended to buy seafood in the seafood market and process it here. The fee is affordable. I heard that the processing fee outside is almost as expensive as seafood. I won't say much, just look at the pictures, real shots.

Environment: The whole resort is very nicely decorated, and it is more cost-effective than the water house. Hygiene: The staff will do a good job of insect repellent. Although the weather is hot, there is basically no need for mosquito repellent lamps in the room. Service: The housekeeper will confirm our needs to go back and forth to the town every day, and he is very serious and responsible. The puppies in the resort are also very cute. The housekeeper said that they were originally wild, but now that they live here, the staff will help take care of them. The puppies are very friendly. They will lead the way when we return to the room at night. The staff are also very caring ❤️

The hotel has a small entrance, the front desk is on the second floor, there is no elevator, but the service staff will help with luggage, the boss is hospitable, and actively adds WeChat to respond to various inquiries from guests. The room is on the side, relatively small, and the wash basin is also super small. The room on the side is relatively large. If you have a choice before booking a room, it is better to check the room first. The location of the hotel is relatively convenient. The road downstairs is a bit noisy. The mosque plays prayers early in the morning. The hotel gave earplugs, but it seems to have no effect and can still be heard.

The price is really cheap. After booking, I am worried that I am afraid that the scenery is not good. The child is disappointed. The owner of this water house is Chinese. The people are very good. All kinds of questions are answered before check-in. The room is clean and comfortable. This price is staying in a sea view room. I think the price/performance ratio is still OK. After all, I came to the sea view room and experience the water house. The child waited for a long time. The son was satisfied. I was also satisfied. Full score!

Almost completed my 6N5D trip with my family of 4 with 2 teenagers. We had a great hospitality from the diving coaches but feel a great pity that the resort mgmt has wasted a great jewel and have not lived up to its luxurious potentials (maybe due to COVID and the resort had to furlough majority of the staff for over 5 months within the last 2 years and it has yet to recover). First, I was impressed with the photos seen on social media and decided to book this (supposed to be the BEST and most expensive resort near Sipadan) First, the jetty transfer in Semporna was smooth but there were plastic trash all over. If the company wants to portray a good image for international tourists, probably should first clean them up? Once arrived at Kapalai, the welcoming process was subpar. There was no receptionist welcoming us, and we were a bit lost. Since it is lunch time, we just straight dive into buffet lunch. Then, a staff clumsily come to offer a glass of diluted sugary orange juice and we were left there. After almost 1.5 hours, we were reached out by diving coaches about our program (the adults were taking advanced PADI open water, and the kids were taking junior PADI open water) Once we checked into the room, overall “hardware” appears nice, but after staying for 6 days some basic problems surface 1) No intercom/phone in the room - since we are at the far corner of the resort and it takes 10mins to walk to lobby, we sometimes need to call buggies. But we were only given a local phone number to call, and the mobile/cell reception is bad here 2) No proper shampoo and conditioner - for my ladies who have long hair, assuming this luxurious should have this basic provided but they don’t 3) Broken chair in the balcony and water dripping out from air condition unit In term of food at the restaurant, it was ok-ish but there are so many opportunities to let the tourists spent more. No wine, no ice cream and no a la cart ordering. The local store has limited daily necessities and it is essential to well prepared before coming. Lastly, for this type of resort, you will see the general manager walking around to ensure all are good in place. I have not seen it over 6 days and the receptionists all seems junior and lack of international experience/exposure to hosting well travel international guests. In term of diving experience, I can feel that the diving coaches and staff have done everything they can to put on a smiley face. My teenager girls have a GREAT experience on their junior open water (OW) experience (with Linda Ho, thank you!) but less so on the advanced open water. (AOW). I feel a bit rush on the AOW but don’t feel the knowledge has sunk in and that is a real pity. Something to be improved. Many of us really want to learn, rather than just get the AOW license in order to dive in Sipadan (need at least AOW to dive there). Sea Star Perfect resort. Perfect location. Perfect staff. Wonderful owner, ERIC, who has great PR 👍🏻. Staff is respectful and friendly. I cannot ask for more. Highly recommend Sea Star Resort. We bought a 3D2N Sea Star Resort package. It included a return transfer by van from Tawau Airport to Semporna boat jetty which took almost 1.5h, a 10-minute boat ride to Sea Star Resort, a whole day of island hopping and snorkelling, all meals (breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner 👍🏻), free usage of inflatables, transparent paddle boat and snorkelling gear and unlimited supply of drinking water. The room is very clean and spacious- had a king size bed plus a day bed. Bath area was spacious and attractive. Really love this place very much. Look at the video I have attached! Air conditioned, good internet connection and extended balcony. Food is local buffet style. We enjoyed all our meals there. You will get an assortment of dishes. For dinner, you get good large prawns 🍤 and fish👍🏻. Tea is special- besides 2-3 types if local cakes, you get an endless supply of banana fritters which are very addictive 👍🏻 The sea water around the resort and beyond is crystal clear. You can always see the marine creatures in the water. From 4pm, use of inflatables, transparent paddle boat and snorkelling gear are supervised. Very kind staff who are ever ready to lend a helping hand. We are grateful to Eric, Gordon, Amsyar, Lisa and all the Sea Star Resort staff. We will be back! Bilik yg luas dan bersih... Dekat dgn pekan and easy to buy food and there have various food and drinks, nearby have 7eleven, starbucks, tealive, pizza and there also have seafood restaurant 😍 Worth it.. will definitely stay again😊
