Mountain Design Hotel Eden Selva
"Stayed for 5 days of skiing with my husband. It was a wonderful experience. Fab location (ski in/out), beautiful design, super comfortable, great wellness area, lovely food, extraordinary service. First winter visit to the Dolomites, but will not be the last. Highly recommend."
Hotel Granbaita Dolomites
"We had an amazing time! The hotel is beautiful and the spa is amazing, as are the treatments- I had 2. The food is great with a huge selection- half board has both menu options and buffet options, all included. Bar /lounge area is fun also with a huge selection. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the service of all of the staff is wonderful and feels very family like. After a few days the waiters knew what we liked to drink and had it waiting for us at the table!! The hotel has everything you need for family or romantic getaway with lots of activities and options. The area that the hotel is located in is small and not central so outings are limited in walking distance- which for us was great. Aside from skiing, we didn’t leave the hotel, a huge bonus when you don’t want to have to walk around to find a restaurant every night like we usually do with other places!! The staff will drive you to and pick you up from 3 very convenient locations for ski making the hotel super easy for skiing. You can rent gear from the hotel and they give you lockers so nothing is needed from outside the hotel. There is also a way to ski back to the hotel if you want. We left at 3am and there was a HUGE breakfast box waiting for us to take with us as well as a printed birthday greeting and gift for my husband (the day we left was his birthday- I didn’t mention it, they noticed from his passport and did this themselves). What a lovely, friendly, family feel but luxury hotel. Everything you need for a perfect ski vacation!!"
Garni Hotel Bel Vert
"Hotel was very nice. Clean, modern. Breakfast was one of the best on our trip. Staff were very friendly, helpful with figuring out him if trails, where to eat, etc. would be my first choice in staying again in the Val Gardena area."
Hotel Acadia - Mountain Home
"Wonderful place"
Hotel Solaia
"1h bus ride from Ponta Gardena train station. Perfect starting point for exploring the dolomites with trails and cable cars at your door step. Staff super friendly (just be mindful of their available hours as the reception is closed at times). The room I booked was basic with no amenities (no fridge, no kettle). Local supermarkets close around 7pm so plan accordingly! All in all great stay, thank you!"
Linder Cycling Hotel
"This is the nice hotel in Dolomite. The bedroom was clean and comfort. The hotel's decoration was so nice. We love the breakfast. Not only the good food but also the nice beautiful view from the hotel restaurant. "
Hotel Alpenroyal - The Leading Hotels of the World
"I wanted to thank everyone and everything for the holidays that were unforgettable for me and my family, I really have no words. Room was wonderful, Sauna top, pool was great, bar every night with live music, 5 star food, restaurant staff all kind (especially a greeting especially for Shukri, he is busy every night to do service for us, that really people like Shukri are rarely found, he was polite, respectful, and was attentive to every detail of service, thank you very much Shukri). I hope we see each other as soon as possible, it's truly a dream. thanks see you soon val gardena with respect Nemyroskyi"
Hotel Garni Concordia - Dolomites Home
"A wonderful, lovely cosy hotel where we spent the most amazing Christmas holiday skiing. Herbert the owner was so helpful and generous. Nothing was too much trouble. He helped us with dinner reservations, booking transport and even recommending which ski run and lift to get the most out of the day . All the staff seemed happy working there. Breakfast was plentiful and varied every morning, so yum. The rooms were so cute and cosy with comfy beds and amazing views of the mountain. Amazing sauna and spa downstairs perfect for relaxing after skiing all day. Xmas day we received a gift. It was placed on the breakfast table. He made us feel safe and homely. So nice. I would stay here every time if in the Dolomites again. 100% recommend!!!"
Hotel Antares
"Excellent hotel! Our local driver even said it's the best four-star hotel in the area. The dinner was surprisingly delicious. The restaurant staff, however, were a bit difficult to communicate with. For two mornings, my son didn't want to get up, and they kept trying to charge us for a takeaway breakfast, which only got resolved after we clarified that our four breakfasts were included. The hotel pool is a bit small, but it was empty first thing in the morning. The self-service laundry is a bizarre 200-meter walk away and there's only one machine. Someone who arrived after me was still busy with it, so I ended up waiting an extra 50 minutes. Poor guy."

Boutique & Fashion Hotel Maciaconi - Gardenahotels
"I spent 3 nights here and really enjoyed my stay! The room was very nice, the location was excellent, and the breakfast was outstanding. The staff that I encountered were lovely and very helpful. They provide a bus pass and the stop is right out front, so it was really convenient to just leave my car at the hotel and hop on/off the bus. I have nothing but great things to say!"
Romantik & Family Hotel Gardenia
"Winter vacation, enjoying Italian food and slopes in Dolomites. And the hospitality with multi cultures."
Grand Hotel Wolkenstein
"I want to express my gratitude to every member of staff for looking after our family and making our stay so welcome, relaxed and easy to comply with our busy every day needs which varied for every family member. I felt my children were safe and self dependant here, thus helped me to relax and encouraged the growth of their self dependancy. This is a big factor for me as a mother and also speaks volumes of the place and staff. Its been a comfortable and a pleasant stay, food was incredible, especially Tyrollean dinner! Receptionist, waiters, waitresses, bartenders highly professional and friendly at the same time. Thank you from all 6 of us!"
Hotel Continental Dolomites
"Breakfast is average, too few varieties, everything else is great"
Hotel Tyrol
"My daughters and I loved the Hotel Tyrol, a family-owned hotel with friendly service. It has an indoor/outdoor pool and a large indoor pool perfect for laps, indoor and outdoor hot tubs, sauna, and so on. (I didn't visit the spa or gym). We enjoyed sitting outside on loungers by the outdoor pool in the afternoons; it's a lovely spot. We did not try the Michelin-starred restaurant on site but greatly enjoyed our breakfasts and two dinners at the other restaurant, which has very friendly service. My daughter said that the cocktails she had here were the best of our visit to the Dolomites. The excellent bartender suggested she try a Hugo, which ended up being her favorite. This area of the Dolomites was our favorite - we found it to be the most beautiful. We had a nice view from our hotel room. If we return to this area we would return to the Hotel Tyrol."
Eden Dolomites
Freina Mountain Lifestyle Hotel
"We found this wonderful family-own/run hotel through one of the online booking sites. I did go through some guests reviews and was impressed on various aspects of the hotel, room, restaurant, amenities and more importantly services. Sure enough, our 3-night stay did not disappoint. The hotel is located in a quiet but convenient spot. Our room has a balcony facing one big lift in town. The room is spacious and tastefully decorated. We really liked the decor. Hotel restaurant is a nice one rated high among all restaurants in town, a big and busy group of towns. The food was well prepared and delicious with great atmosphere and nice views (if seated right). Good breakfast and garage parking were included in booking. Well care like sauna and steam room was a big plus after day hikes. Using sauna/steam room in Gardena area is traditionally no bathing suits thus majority of people were using towels to wrap around with a handful people were "free-spirited", LOL. The service provided by the hotel was excellent during our stay (though we usually don't need daily room service during hotel stays). The hotel is managed and run by family members of the owner and everyone of the family worked hard providing excellent services, information, and recommendations, while trained new employees nicely. We enjoyed some conversations with the family members and we're very impressed on their attention to details, understanding of guests and industry, work ethics, friendliness and sense of humor. It was an enjoyable stay and would recommend it highly."
Hotel Somont
"We arrived at 7:00 pm and were immediately given our rooms, which was appreciated after a long travel day. We had one larger room and one smaller room, but they were quite similar in size. Both were on the first floor and included balconies. We reserved garage parking for €10 per day, which I strongly recommend. It is absolutely worth the cost, especially in winter conditions. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. One set of windows has automatic blackout shades, while the other has traditional curtains. I need complete darkness to sleep, and I had no problem making the room fully dark. The shower is small but sufficient for an adult. Water pressure was strong. One evening, after returning from après-ski around 7:00 pm, we had cold water for our showers. After that, we assumed it is better to shower earlier in the day. In the mornings, we had no issues with hot water. Breakfast is very good and includes everything you would expect from a ski hotel. The only things missing were an espresso machine and made-to-order egg options such as omelets or fried eggs. The coffee served is American-style filter coffee, average to my taste, no almond milk, but they had oat and soy type milk. The ski room is excellent. Each room has its own private heated locker, which keeps boots and gloves warm and dry. There is also an elevator that takes you up with your skis directly to the blue slope. Ski-out is convenient, although we were not initially guided on the best way to reach the main Ciampinoi lift. One option is to ski down the blue slope from the hotel to the gate and then walk about 300 feet, roughly seven minutes, to the gondola. On the third day, we discovered a better option: taking two T-bar lifts that allow you to ski directly down to the gondola without removing your skis. You only need to take your skis off if you are heading toward the Costabella lift to access the orange Sella Ronda trails. Ski-in is slightly less convenient. You take the Ciampinoi 5 trail and then an older three-person chairlift that brings you back to the blue slope leading to the hotel. For intermediate skiers and above, both ski-in and ski-out are very manageable. Another highlight is the wellness area. The indoor pool is warm and pleasant, though on the smaller side. Next to it is a jacuzzi with water jets and air bubbles. However, during our stay, the jacuzzi was cooler than the pool, approximately 65°F, which was surprising. The sauna area is the real standout: there is a steam room, a dry sauna, and a large 90°C sauna, all very well maintained. They also provide dried fruits and two types of tea, which you can enjoy in the quiet relaxation room. The hotel is very close to the popular après-ski spot Stua, which runs from 3:30 to 6:30 pm, and about a seven-minute walk to the center of town. One final note that reflects the level of care from the management: as we were checking out and already seated in the car, ready to drive away, the general manager ran outside and"
Hotel Monte44
"Excellent hospitality from a person with lots of care and passion for all the guests. We were a dozen friends and Monika made us feel very special. The hotel is cozy and clean; a special mention about the food that was excellent and much higher quality than anywhere else we tried during the week."
Hotel Miravalle
"Great week-long stay at Hotel Miravalle. The rooms are large and comfortable, many with balconies with great views. Pool, sauna and spa were great after a long day of skiing. We had half-board option and dinner every night was 4 course meal, with a delicious and innovative menu each night. Hotel is slope side, right next to the ski school so morning drop offs for the kids was perfect. Ski room is very high tech and you can an elevator to the slopes. Highlight of our entire stay was the staff. Everyone was welcoming, kind, patient (we were a very large group) and helpful. Will definitely return."
Hotel Portillo Dolomites 1966'
"The accommodations, service, friendly atmosphere, and food offerings could not have been better. We stayed in the Loft with a nice balcony facing the beautiful hills on the opposite side of the ski mountain. Tranquil, quiet, and serene. Best sleep we have had in years. The hotel shuttle to the gondolas were so easy to get. They are scheduled often, but even when we missed one, the driver (sometimes the owner), would hop in to the van and off we went. The breakfast each morning was delicious and had virtually everything you could want. The guests were very nice and willing to strike up a conversation, If you are worried about not being fluent in Italian; not to worry. The desk staff and the restaurant staff are all able to communicate in English, or so it seemed. The picture of the spa and pool area do not do it justice. Absolutely beautiful. You enter the outdoor salt water pool from the inside, so you don't have to feel the shock of the cold air. For those who feel that the number 1 need for a hotel is cleanliness, you will find everything clean, very clean! We are regular travelers and discriminating when it comes to restaurants and hotels and would rate this hotel 5 Stars based on our overall experience. Perhaps it wouldn't qualify for 5 stars based on the strict criteria, but this hotel had everything that we wanted and more. Thank you Oliver and everyone else that made our stay a trip of a lifetime (that we hope to repeat again next year)."
Villa Insam
"Villa Insam is a very simple family-run bed and breakfast, yet its simplicity reflects the courtesy and kindness of Beatrice, her mother, and her aunt, the owner. The location is stunning for those who want to be immersed in nature yet just steps from the town center. You wake up to the most beautiful view you'll find in Selva, namely the Sassolungo, and the sound of sheep bells. The breakfast is good and plentiful. The rooms are simple but clean. Excellent value for money!"
Suites Hotel Garden
"Very good and equipped hotel. I recommend it. The room is very clean. The three type of sauna top. The view top."
Kristiania Small Dolomites Hotel
"Paradise on earth! Luxury, cosy family hotel with excellent food and marvelous rooms, very comfortable. Nice little garden in front of the hotel and private parking. Splendid environment with lots to do, for everybody! From big adventure to relaxing walks."
ArtHotel Anterleghes - Gardenahotels
"We stayed at this hotel for a few days, and unfortunately, nothing lived up to our expectations. The room management was disastrous: our room was freezing cold and the heating didn't work, despite being assured there were no problems. In another room, however, it was unbearably hot and couldn't be lowered. The thermostat was clearly not working properly. The advertised photos were misleading: they suggested there was a ski rental room inside the hotel, as we've experienced in other similar establishments. In reality, there was only a simple ski room. The New Year's Eve aperitif was held in the hotel lobby. When asked "what can we offer you?", we were then asked for our room number, creating further confusion and inconvenience. *********** lists a 9.2 rating, but the reality was shockingly poor, especially with regard to the food. For several days, we couldn't eat several dishes because they were inedible. The food seemed recycled from previous evenings, re-presented several times. Most of the dishes were mostly frozen, often served cold. The worst part came when we got the bill: despite the "all-inclusive" formula, we were charged for the restaurant's water, which was served in plastic jugs, evidently tap water. Finally, the hotel shuttles: we had been told shuttles were available, but once we arrived, we discovered they weren't included and had to be paid for separately. In conclusion, an experience absolutely not to be repeated. The establishment doesn't even begin to live up to the reviews or the price paid."
