"We booked this hotel out of convenience during a road trip around Germany. We were having difficulties finding a place in Hamburg and found out Schwerin has a very nice castle and is a very beautiful city off the beaten path. There isn't much around the hotel but we planned on just sleeping here. It is a very quiet location. There is plenty of parking but it is a bit tight even with the small car we had rented. The hotel had a few amenities like a business work station, big dining area, sauna and a lobby bar. We had booked a family room with a king bed and a sofa bed. The sofa bed turned out to be some sort of a single mattress which was fine because we booked for three people. The room was nice with a big TV, a couple of seating areas, plenty of lighting, a coffee station and an ironing board. We found extra pillows in the closet and they were very comfy. We had a great night's rest here and felt refreshed in the morning. The bathroom was good too with a nice shower and individual bath products for conditioner, shampoo and shower gel. They had a large bottle of body lotion too that was not strapped to the wall. The hair dryer was tucked away in the closet. The only complaint we would have for the bathroom was that the toilet button worked very inconsistently so we were not able to flush the toilet despite pushing up to ten times. The breakfast was a basic continental breakfast with a good amount of hot and cold items. They had scrambled eggs, meatballs, bread, deli meats and some breads. There were coffee machines, a juice dispenser and a selection of tea. We went around 8 am on the weekend and it was already pretty busy with limited seating but we think the day we went everyone decided to go for breakfast around the same time and leave. The chairs here are also pretty comfy and there are lots of seating options. Check in was super quick when we arrived late at night. All I had to do was sign my name and write my email to get the key cards for the room. During check out I had mentioned that the toilet in the room was not flushing properly and they had initially offered to switch me rooms but the lady at the front desk seemed to mention that there is an issue with these buttons in some of the rooms then offered us complimentary parking. We were surprised that the hotel had paid parking because of their location and from my understanding it is around 4 euros a night."

"We booked a room with a terrace. We liked the bright bedroom with its comfortable bed. However, we were disappointed with the bathroom. The hotel website shows a modern bathroom with a walk-in shower. What we got was a bathroom that felt like it had been thrown back to the 80s/90s. The shower in the bathtub was anything but inviting! We had booked for two people, and there was only one set of towels in the bathroom. I went to reception and was handed a second set. Changing to a room with a walk-in shower wasn't possible. The breakfast buffet was limited and, for a hotel in this price range, the quality was poor. Normally, in 4-star hotels, you're asked at check-out if you enjoyed your stay – not here!"

"This is a lovely hotel and very deceptive from the outside. My husband booked this trip & it didn’t disappoint. Schwerin is a small town, with very cute alleyways and I was unsure of the type of accommodation that would be available. We did have issues with finding parking but eventually used the parking house which charged about €10 per day. The entrance to the hotel itself gives off an old vibe but when we reached our rooms it was completely the opposite. One room had a large entrance hall, and off that the very large bathroom (just with shower) and an equally large bedroom. The other bedroom was more open plan, large and spacious again with a large bathroom containing a bath & separate shower cubicle. The decor was modern & minimalist but practical. It was quiet at night, even with the windows open. The only thing that bothered me was the automatic light that switched on when you had to use the bathroom. The minute you opened the bedroom door into the hallway of the suite, the light went on which lit up the bedroom. Not so good for the other occupant. We did have an issue with the room not being made up on our first morning & staff were apologetic and had our room seen to & replaced our towels. We did not eat at the hotel. But the restaurant looks good. We are already thinking about Christmas markets in Schwerin and hopefully staying in this hotel again."

B&B HOTEL Schwerin-Süd

"Location: Free parking is available in front of the hotel and in the street. A shopping centre is 5 minutes away. A bus stop is right in front of the hotel, to the center the bus drive is about 20 minutes. The equipment: The room was clean, the bathroom had a reasonable size, the bed was very comfortable. There was a table, but only a hocker, we found that very bad! The TV also stands very high, which was ergonomically not so pleasant. Service: We checked in the input area via the monitor, the printing worked only so mediumly well. The next time we checked in at the reception."

"Overall, we were very satisfied, but not entirely, as the sauna area was disappointing. The steam sauna was out of order, and the smaller sauna only fits two people. Despite this, the full sauna price was charged. However, the breakfast was very good and appetizing. The room was clean and the staff friendly. Overall, the hotel is located in a beautiful setting and is well-suited for relaxation. Despite the mentioned shortcomings, we would still recommend the hotel."
