"Sometimes, when you're the only one to offer something, you may decide to rest on your unique selling point. This hotel doesn't. From arrival to departure, this stay has been a wonderful experience. When you arrive, the first thing you're asked to do is to sit down and enjoy a welcome drink. Once you've settled down for a bit, one of the front office agents will come sit with you and talk you through your stay. They will answer questions and assist you with anything you might need help with. In addition to the 5 star superior hotel category, they also have a Michelin star restaurant. If you get the chance, try to spend at least one evening there as well. Then there's a gigantic wellness and spa area. They had an adults only section as well. It was beautiful and quiet. The rooms are modern and well maintained as well."

"We wanted to start 2025 with a stay at the mountain hotel we already knew from previous visits. So we arrived on the afternoon of January 1st. The weather was so-so, no snow, but that would change the next day. We had reserved our favorite room, No. 89 in the Rothaarblick house, quite early in the fall. The welcome at reception was very friendly. We stayed there for about five days and once again felt very comfortable. The personal service from the owner family is simply fantastic, and then there's the skilled and mischievous demeanor of the head waiter, Niki, who is always up for a laugh. After these days at the mountain hotel, there are only positive things to report. The friendliness of the owner and the entire hotel team, and the wonderful cuisine that we were able to enjoy every evening as part of the half-board package. The only negative thing after returning from these relaxing days was looking at the scales in the bathroom, which clearly showed our sins. Well, then we ate a few days of minimal food at home, and then everything was back to normal. We'd love to come back. Thank you, Mr. Kevekordes, for these wonderful days! bdzons"

"A 4+ star establishment that is well maintained, but the type and quality of the food does not match the stars. For breakfast, you have to fill out a questionnaire at the table and write down how many slices of ham, salmon, cheese or whatever you want to eat. Then they bring it out and you can eat it. It reminded me of my stay in hospital. Being able to see the delicacies on the buffet whets your appetite and invites you to choose which appetizers you want to eat. Filling out a form is completely unsuitable for this and is not an indication of hospitality. After all, you eat with your eyes too! You can choose the evening menu, but the salad buffet that is typical in establishments of this category is not available! My main course (fish) was so salty that I could hardly eat it - but they simply took note of the complaint and did not try to make amends (as is completely normal in other hotels/restaurants). The prices are really amazing, though. The stay and the strange "hospitality" are quite expensive."
