Scenic Hotels in Phu Quoc Island

"My room at Movenpick Residences facing the lake and I was able to catch the beautiful sunrise daily. Fantastic view and totally enjoyed the view from the balcony. Their daily breakfast was great. The egg Benedict could be improved but overall buffet spread were well served. They also had chocolate buffet in the afternoon for staying guests which is a plus. Would stay here again for the great service and friendly staff."

"Hmmm…overall is a good hotel. However, I don’t feel it is a 5 star worthy rated hotel. We booked for 3 night stay and by the second day, while I was having shower, I ran out of shower gel. The amenities in rooms should be enough for the stay. The guests shouldn’t have to experience leaving the shower without a complete bath. Perhaps the bottles should be transparent so that the house keeping staff can easily see to replenish or not. The other issue we had was the staff at the bar doesn’t know the menu at all. We asked 3 times if the burger was beef, and she told us it was pork. We find it hard to believe but she insisted it was..so I ordered the fish and chips instead but a few minutes later a waiter delivered a burger to the table next to us and I asked the waiter if it was beef burger and he said yes. We try to change our order with another waiter and he tried to talk us out of it and told us it was 20 minutes wait simply because the fish and chips is ready. That’s very disappointing. We have stayed in many 5 star hotels and this one missed the mark!! Definitely not 5 star service Having said all the able, hands down to their breakfast spread! Super delicious and the varieties is endless!"

"We choose the 2 bed rooms suite with large beds and balcony one of the room facing ocean with beautiful sunset. the view is super. The booking include 4 tickets of body massage and it’s per night ! The only recommendation iplease bring your body lotion as this is not supply by hotel .. other than that no complaint at all and for sure we will pick the same hotel of our next travel to Phu Quoc!"

"The resort is beautiful and the size is perfect, it is big but you can walk everywhere in 10 minutes which is great. The beach is clean. The food was good, but there were no snack options during the day. The pool bar only opens 11am, and they don't serve any food. You need to go to Shack restaurant, and they only deliver to the pool a few options from the menu in a box. Otherwise, you need to eat at the restaurant. (Some friends were all inclusive, and they won't deliver anything in this case) One day, the pool bar was packed, and there was only one staff member taking orders and preparing the drinks! When I suggested the manager send one more staff member to help, he asked me to be patient or order from the restaurant. Meaning they won't improve the service if there are too many people in the pool. It's probably because of the all-inclusive service, to reduce their consumption. But the people who are not all-inclusive will also be affected. My 3 yrs old son and a 4 yrs old friend cut their feet in the swimming pool. The manager came worried and asked what I needed, but his suggestion was for them not to stay too long in the pool and he said my son is probably a city boy and he is not used to it. The thing is, we go to the pool every week, he knows how to swim and we have been to similar trips to Bali, Phillipines and Thailand and this never happened before! So Im pretty sure the problem is their swimming pool floor, whether the tiles are too rough or there are sharp things on the shallow areas. In fact, I stepped on something sharp one time, luckily I was walking and it didn't cut me. (The picture of my son's feet is 2 days after it happened) So the hotel is beautiful and convenient, clean, the price is good. But I have concerns about the swimming pool, so I would probably not go back because of that. And I would not take the all-inclusive as there are some restrictions."

"Amazing hotel. Nice location close to the amusement park if you want to visit. The hotel gas a free shuttle to the park and free shuttle to the airport."

"The hotel's location was excellent for travelers. Peak Time, a local travel agency, was right in front, as was the Sonasi Night Market. Restaurants and massage shops were also conveniently clustered just outside the hotel. We stayed for 4 days in a 3-bedroom villa with two other couples (our friends). We were very satisfied with the size and water quality of the pool, and most of the staff were friendly. However, the buggy service for getting between our villa and the main hotel pool, though usually arriving within 5-10 minutes of a call, became a bit inconvenient for stays longer than 3 days. If I were to return with my family, I would consider staying in the hotel rooms rather than the villas. I didn't get to try the main hotel restaurant, but the breakfast at the villa's restaurant was just average, and the variety of food wasn't extensive. Furthermore, it was disappointing that pool-related services either didn't provide life jackets or rubber tubes, or charged for them. Bicycle rentals also required a fee rather than just a deposit, which was unsatisfactory. If these aspects were improved, I believe this hotel would be highly rated. Lastly, there was a minor dispute during check-in because the photos of the room we selected and booked on Trip.com included pictures of a larger, different room. The reception staff, Tung Anh, clarified that the photos were not of our booked room and suggested it was Trip.com's error, not the hotel's. She even allowed me to photograph her name tag to guarantee her statement. We had booked based on the room photos, believing we were getting a larger, higher-grade villa, but the actual room we received was not as depicted. I suspect this was either an error on Trip.com's part or a deliberate tactic to entice bookings. The most common way for first-time visitors to see a hotel's rooms is through photos provided on a travel agency's website. If this was indeed a mistake, it's an issue that absolutely needs to be addressed. If, however, Trip.com intentionally misrepresented the rooms with mixed photos, I would find it difficult to use their service again. This is because I cannot commit significant time and money to international travel if the reliability of the information provided is not guaranteed."

"Ocean Bay Resort & Spa impresses with its excellent service, and stylish, comfortable rooms that create a luxurious escape. The staff are attentive and go out of their way to ensure a relaxing stay. However, the rooms are not soundproofed, and noise from neighboring rooms can be disruptive."

"very hospitable and wonderful hotel. I liked everything, from the size of the room which after Ho Chi Minh is really big, to the beach, which is a wild beach and the island’s people go there to swim, but the fact of the matter is that the beaches adjacent to the hotels are full of employees who watch your every step and here there are few people only, a good local bar and excellent Saigon coffee , the water in the sea has always been warm. from hotel till beach is 7-10 min by slow step. The hotel pool was clean and after sunset everyone always went out to swim and dive. The room was cleaned every day, clean towels, new bottles of water. We wanted to make a fish barbecue but we had no experience for making fare & a hotel employee helped us. he went and bought fuel and helped light the coals. Without him it definitely wouldn’t have happened.....we are very glad that we chose Aurora House to stay."

"Very nice welcome by Hong at the airport. Great service from him. Room is comfy, beds are good as well. Room is a bit dark since the garden is covered with palm trees. Disappointing that: - they charge 10,000vnd for a tea bag…. - the sea isn’t accessible after 6:30pm. - there is something itchy in the water that isn’t comfy (was not anywhere else). - the area has lots of mosquitoes, beetles and other insects which is a bit bothering when you wanna rest at the beach. - the beach is not really at sea level since it’s been heightened over the water level. Overall it’s a bit disappointing vs the price paid, but it’s not a bad place to stay at."
