Phu Quoc Island Apartments

After being stuck at home for the past 3 years and watching replays of Getaway, we finally got out of Australia and arrived in Phu Quoc. Stepping out of the taxi we were warmly greeted by the concierge staff with the traditional 'Xin Chao' as they escorted us into the beautiful Movenpick Resort foyer. Immediately my wife and I felt relaxed. This was what we had missed during COVID, escaping our busy lives and enjoying such beautiful resorts. Check-in was seamless and we were in our room in no time. I had an issue with our room and spoke to Linh at reception who was so nice and professional, and quickly resolved the situation. And in a flash we were by gorgeous pool and enjoying tropical cocktails. We spent the next 3 days laying around the pool, in the sun loungers looking out into the ocean, taking naps in the hammocks between the palm trees and enjoying the ocean breeze as we watched the sunsets. The Spa was amazing and one of the best we've experienced. The pre-spa sauna, stream room and spa baths was sooo relaxing. Breakfast was a feast to the eyes with delicious authentic Vietnamese food and a great international selection. The afternoons were spent devouring all sorts of enticing desserts during Chocolate Hour (and all for free, what a bonus!) We loved spending our evenings at Aura Beach Club as Vu was so helpful and attentive. He even got the whole team to sing Happy Birthday to me which was such a pleasant surprise. When we returned to our room, Linh and the reception team had organised a birthday cake and some gifts from the Resort. So sweet! It's things like this that make our holidays even more memorable. We thoroughly enjoyed Movenpick Resort Phu Quoc and the wonderful staff that made it so special. We will be back! and will bring all our families and friends :)

It was our first time travelling to PQC Island and we had total 4 families. 4 Adults and 4 kids and we booked 3 bedrooms villa which had 2 king size beds and 2 twins beds with private pool. The villa was very beautiful especially the unique interior design with private pool . It was pretty clean until we saw a big bugs dying on the floor. We were fine about it which it didnt bother us much. And we still loved it. We paid around HK4000 per night for 2 nights which had included 8 breakfast buffet style. The hotel provided free shuttle bus to pick us up from the airport. But one thing I couldnt understand was the water bottle provided in the villa. The hotel only gave us 6 free bottles everyday. If you request extra water, they had to charge you with unreasonable price. We had 8 ppl in the villa but they only gave u 6. I have stayed at other countries hotel with free water bottles refill but Wyndham needs to charge me for that which I really cant understand as water in Vietnam is so cheap. I was so shocked when I heard about it and I complained it to the front desk. At the end, they did give me 4 more bottles of water without charging me. One more thing I didnt like the most was the breakfast. Although they had many varieties, the quality of food was pretty bad and it didnt look good at all. It really turned down my appetite. The only food I can really eat was the hard boil eggs without eating the egg yolk and the black olives. For the prices I had paid, i think the hotel really needed to improve the food quality as it did look disgusting to me.

I travel the world with Marriott brand only, this is the very disappointed Sheraton Phu Quoc that I happen to stay, I booked a family suite oceanfront during June1-5,2023. This review written on June 2,2023. It isn’t 5 star resort. Marriott Should not put their name on it, because it degrade the quality of Marriott Brand. We check in during lunch and went to Garden restaurant, the lunch buffer have nothing worth to eat so we order from menu total of 5 hot dish for 5 of us, only 3 dish come out 20 minute, 1 dish come out 45 minute later and final dish never come. So 1 of us can’t have lunch. We lelf the restaurant and came to our SUITE all the keys doesn’t work so after the trip to front desk again finally we got in the suite. The room temperature was at 25C degrees and keep go up. Call the maintenance no help there The resort is old and need upgrade ASAP including AC units. We went down to front desk and request to change the room, they told us to leave our phone number so they can contact us regarding the room transfer. We never received the call, we have to went out to find a decent place for our dinner because we are not sure about restaurant dinner buffet!!! So by the time get to the room we too tired to call and bother the front desk. I am a Platium Bonvoy of the Marriott. It mean I stay at least 50 nights per year with Marriott. This is the first time I feel like I got cheat out of 5 stars resort. So today I will ask them to cancel the rest of the stay and move to another resort, hopefully JW Marriott in the other end of the island. My review is not prejudiced about the staff or Food not even the normal wear and tear of the resort but mainly with the management team. On the small note to resort management director. You should try your own food in the restaurant including the ice cream in the snack bar, I think the Ice cream was there too long. I wish all the best to my fellow guess and hope that you will be better luck then me. After my first impression with The 5 star resort. I would like update my review. Just one action of the top team management in breakfast room, it change my opinion and I am very appreciated his customer services. His name is Mr Hoang. He fresh up my family’s morning with an offer a cup of Green Tea, when services like that happen, it took out of all the bad experience and show you how great the staff can brighten your day. Furthermore in the long conversation he explains to me the new management just took over last September 2022 and in process of remodel the resort. Also the staff had been trained and continue to update their customers services. Therefore I would like to update my review with a 5 stars and continue to believe in Marriott branding Sheraton Phu Quoc Long Beach. This is on my day 4 at the resort and I am very happy to share with everyone. Thank you for read my review and after all we have a happy ending. The hotel is clearly not 5 stars, one of the worst where we have been. A lot of package tourists who behave terribly. Everything in the hotel is done on stream. None of the staff cares about you. There is a constant crowd of people leaving/arriving in the lobby. It's dirty everywhere. When you arrive, you see a very dirty roof over the main entrance. This is a Turkish hotel with a corresponding contingent. There are holes in the floor in the room, swollen and bad furniture everywhere, the door to the balcony does not close (the hole through which the lizard climbed to us at night), a bad refrigerator. The price is clearly too high, I do not recommend it and will never stop again. The only plus is the tickets to the show, that's it.

First the food in room service is very bad quality and overpriced. I've got sick and we had to use it but i preferred stay hungry then. Not enoug sunbeds at the beach: you should go to the beach not later then 8 am to get a couch. Only one person speaks good english at reception and is really helpful and nice guy named Felix. Other staff gives you wrong information and their english is hardly understandable. During the morning time they shower the grass and it smells with a toilet septic. The breakfast is ok and location is perfect. The beach itself is probably the best at Phu Qu Ok

The hotel is located in Sun Set Town, an Italien inspired small town with historical sights. Its beautiful but still quite empty, sure there is some smaller Hotels and Restaurants and some small grocery Shops. Near the water there is a Food Bazaar with Stalls and a lot of Food an Drinks offers but its just Open from 16 o clock, the Highlight of the town was besides the beautiful architecture the daily firework (expcect tuesday) The Hotel has a beautiful big Pool facing the sea and also Access to the Beach via some stairs. As it just opened it was not busy. As Hilton Diamond Member we got a free Canapé with two Drinks in the Evening and a Lovely suite upgrade with sea view. For the fireworks you can also Access the roof top terrace for a better view. During check in it took that someone came and Helped us with our luggages. Also there was some confusion about which is our luggages when they brought it to our room. This process should somehow be Improved especially when the Hotel gets busy. The Cabana Area should be a separated more from the public availilable Stairs as there is often people taking pictures of the Pool and also of you if you are next to this Area. Also near this Area with the cabanas they should also install a ladder to enter the pool as you need to walk around half of the pool to get into the water. The breakfast is fabulous and offers great variety and also great quality. Overall we enjoyed our stay a lot especially the pool is a highlight. We will surely return one day to this beautiful hotel and location.

Pros: - good location, walking distance to Grand World - low price, best if you don’t spend much time at the hotel and mostly out and about - clean and modern decor Cons: - no aircon in corridor and elevator, it can be very uncomfortable to step in the elevator on hot days - no room service, no service at pool area, no option to pay for food and beverage at check out. - minibar is empty, instant coffee and tea bags are available yet no milk. When we requested milk for our cup of tea, the reception staff advised we would need to go to the bar (ground floor) to purchase milk at own cost. Milk is essential and it has always been provided free of charge wherever we’ve been (Bali, Singapore, Australia, etc.) - mid-stay ROOM INSPECTION. This is very UNPLEASANT practice to Westerners and should be stopped. Not sure if this is normal in Vietnam, but it is very displeasing and annoying to us (Australians). We often stayed a few weeks to months in Bali and other Asian countries, we’ve never had room inspection where 2 staff entered our room, 1 of them walked around the room pretending to check the skirting board with a screwdriver while the other was casing the room (it was obvious that they wanted to check to room). - poor English proficiency. Only one reception staff can speak English well, the rest of the staff don’t. My husband was quite frustrated during our stay because he couldn’t communicate with staff. We’ve stayed in Bali and other Asian countries, all of their staff are fluent in English including security and housekeeping staff. - lack of attention to food safety. Signage is very small. No cover when the meals bought outside to the pool area. Food was not kept at optimum temperature can cause bacteria to grow to dangerous levels that can cause illness. - lack of knowledge about beverage. Staff didn’t understand my husband’s order of Bourbon + Cola (very common drinks to Westerners) and advised they don’t have Bourbon. When my husband went to the bar with the staff, there was a big Bourbon bottle sitting on the shelf! - lack of customer service. Staff was not attentive to customers, my husband had to walked to the restaurant to get staff attention when we wanted food and drinks while we were at the pool. Staff should walk around and simply check in with customers. Staff didn’t greet customers when they walk past, again when we were in Bali and other Asian countries, their staff (everyone including housekeeping staff) always said good morning, good afternoon or good evening. - FACIAL BIOMETRICS RECOGNITION was an entry requirement to enter buffet breakfast. This should be disclosed in booking description including third-party websites like Agoda, Booking.com, etc. No information on Facial Biometrics Recognition are found anywhere or has ever been communicated to us prior to checking in. If we have known, we would stay elsewhere for sure (we will request that our data are permanently deleted from their system and we suggest that you do the sam

During my recent extended stay of 5 nights at Regent Resort and Village Phu Quoc, I had the privilege of immersing myself deeply in the overall experience. The warm and gracious hospitality of the staff left a lasting and positive impression on me. Regent Resort and Village Phu Quoc offers a superb dining experience within its premise, from Oku restaurant to the diverse and flavorful options at the Rice Market, Ocean Club and Fu Bar, the quality of the food and service consistently exceeded expectations. The resort's dining establishments truly merit special commendation. They not only exude aesthetic charm but also provide a dining experience that is both unique and delightful, featuring a delightful array of dishes and service of impeccable quality. It's crucial to applaud GM, who comes from India, for consistently displaying unwavering professionalism, always ready to attentively address any concerns. The buddy car service was efficient and convenient, making my stay even more enjoyable by ensuring seamless travel within the resort. Yet, it's with a touch of regret that I must acknowledge a single drawback—the condition of the beach at the resort fell short of expectations. Regrettably, this detracted from the opportunity to partake in seaside activities and bask in the full glory of Phu Quoc Island's natural beauty. I remain hopeful that Regent will continue to evolve, ensuring a top-tier experience for its esteemed guests. I eagerly look forward to the opportunity to return as soon as possible~

Stayed here for 5 nights in January and after the first day was so close to checking out and staying somewhere else as it just wasn't up to standard. Whilst the hotel looks great and the location right on the beach is amazing, it lacks many things that allow it to have a 5 star service. Firstly, the staff speak very little English making it difficult to communicate and creates a massive service barrier. The location is quite isolated which to be honest is ok but the hotel has very limited options for food and drink. There is ”two restaurants” but only one menu to serve room service, the beach restaurant and the main restaurant. The beach restaurant stops serving food at 330pm and closes at 10pm. The main restaurant only do a buffet option in the evening. Service overall was very slow taking 30 to 40 mins on average to get food and drinks, a lot of which they often ran out of stock. Breakfast was great with lots of options but again we often waited 30 mins for tea and coffee which we would ask many times for. Rooms were lovely, clean and spacious with amazing views overlooking the beach. I went to the spa twice and had two full body massage. The massage was nice and relaxing but you are kind of rushed out afterwards. Overall a very impressive hotel to look at but in my opinion they don't deserve a 5 star rating as it fails service overall.

We had an incredible stay at this hotel! The facilities were absolutely top-notch, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed and well taken care of. The highlight of our stay was definitely the stunning pool—it was huge, well-maintained, and perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The private beach was just as amazing, with pristine sand and crystal-clear waters. We loved spending our afternoons there, soaking up the sun and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. However, there were a couple of small downsides. The bathroom had a large glass window that made it a bit awkward when showering or using the toilet, as the other person in the room could see in. There was a roller blind for privacy, but unfortunately, it was a bit see-through, which didn’t fully solve the issue. Also, the soundproofing of the room wasn’t great, and we could hear some noise from the corridor. The AC also could have been better, as it wasn’t as powerful as we expected, especially considering the tropical weather. Despite these minor points, our overall experience was fantastic, and I would still highly recommend this hotel I will be back to this hotel the next time I am in Phu Quoc. There is also a lovely night market opposite the hotel which was a nice surprise.
