"Traveling solo, I splurged on a Japanese-style room that could probably fit four people. It's an older ryokan, but that didn't really detract from the experience. The only thing was that during the off-season, the in-house restaurant for dinner was closed, so I had to buy food from a convenience store and bring it back. Regarding the service, the shuttle driver was incredibly diligent and responsible, even waiting for me at the station for 2-3 minutes – I'm very grateful for that 🙏. In contrast, the two front desk staff (they were clearly not Japanese, probably Indian or Southeast Asian) were the most unprofessional hotel employees I've ever encountered: in the morning, when I greeted them, there was no reply; later, when I walked in from outside the hotel, they were loudly chatting and laughing. I've been to Japan so many times and stayed at so many hotels, but I've never experienced anything like this before."

"Our stay in Morino Sumika was wonderful. This hotel is probably one the best Hotel (Ryokan) We’ve ever stayed in Japan. We are so impressed with their service. The staffs are polite and responsive even though language barrier. We stayed in a room with open air bath type with balcony looking at the slope garden and hotel itself. The architecture is stunningly beautiful. Room are spacious and bigger than we had expected. The room layout is great. We are so amazed with the hotel facility and everything in the hotel that we want to spend much more time at the hotel rather than going out. The hotel is about 5 km away from Kagaonsen Station in the area called Yamashiro Onsen. They offer shuttle service which we contact them via email. Yamashiro Onsen is very nice and calm. FYI… Kagaonsen Station is 20 minutes travel from Kanazawa by Hokuriku Shinkansen… very convenience.."

"Overall, my stay at the hotel was very comfortable and relaxing. It was a pleasant experience. Transportation: I took the train from Komatsu Station to Kaga Onsen Station. I had arranged a shuttle service with the hotel via email in advance. You just need to wait at the shuttle bus stop. There are many different shuttle buses for various onsen hotels. The ride to the hotel takes about 20 minutes. Hotel Environment and Room: The hotel's decor feels very nice, full of Japanese style. There's a foot bath in the lobby on the first floor that you can enjoy anytime. Also, the lobby offers free coffee, tea, and snacks (pudding in the evening) at different times. Before having coffee, you can choose a coffee cup you like. The room had a tatami mat and offered views of the clear mountain stream nearby. The weather wasn't good during my stay, so I just stayed in the room and didn't explore the surroundings. Food: Dinner was very abundant and filling, with very fresh seafood. Breakfast mainly consisted of porridge or rice with some small side dishes. Onsen: The baths switch genders in the early morning. One side has an indoor + outdoor bath, and the other has an indoor + semi-outdoor bath. Both are worth experiencing and are very therapeutic! Afterward, there are free small ice pops in four flavors. Additionally, hotel guests can book a private bath once for free, with three options, but they are a bit small. Oh, and the hotel offers so many yukata choices! It's fantastic, wearing them for photos was incredibly satisfying!"

"The Kyoto hotels I booked in the 2025 cherry blossom season are almost all bad reviews. The business is good and the service is poor. The hotels in the Kaga area of Hokkai are satisfied. "This was a truly satisfying stay. Before checking in, I had visited Shirakawa-go and was a little disappointed not to see any snow. But then, on my first morning at the hotel, I pulled back the curtains to find it snowing heavily! It was absolutely amazing. I decided right then and there not to go anywhere and just enjoy the snow from the hotel. The hotel is a bit older, but the room was clean and tidy. I had upgraded my room, and it wasn't small at all. The area mentioned in the description probably just refers to the room itself, but the entryway was also very spacious, allowing me to easily open my large luggage. The indoor balcony in front was also quite large, perfect for a family to sit and enjoy the snow. The floor-to-ceiling windows offered direct mountain views, with the river flowing right below. The large floor-to-ceiling windows in the restaurant lobby were even more stunning – it was wonderful to enjoy the snow while dining. Even the outdoor onsen provided beautiful views of the snow and river while soaking. The best part was how few people there were; both times, it was just me and my daughter, so there was no need to book a private onsen. Behind the hotel, there's a walking trail. We explored it that day, and while the heavy snow made it a bit challenging to walk, it was incredibly beautiful and completely deserted. Every photo we took was a scenic masterpiece. Our shoes and socks got wet on the way back, but thankfully, we didn't feel cold. There are convenience stores and supermarkets nearby, making it very convenient to buy food and other necessities. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends. The staff were also very friendly. Although most of them didn't speak English, they used translation software, so communication was just a bit slow."

"I was participating in the Kagaspa UTM race in Japan and booked this hotel. It's a ten-minute walk from the starting point and another ten minutes from Yamanakaza Street. It's a quiet escape from the bustle. The room faces a stream and mountains, with the green hills surrounding the stream and casting shadows, a truly beautiful sight. The hotel was also very clean. Dinner was a semi-buffet and quite standard. I withdrew from the 100km race this time, but I'm sure I'll finish it next year."

"The large public bath was open from 6:00 in the morning, and there were no problems with calling and paying for a taxi to the airport. If I had to say one thing, I felt that it was still a rural area because only 1000 yen notes were accepted when buying drinks from the vending machine."

"KAI Kaga inherited hundreds of years of hot spring inns and used new modern models to attract tourists in the hope of driving crowds to the hot springs in nearby districts. However, it turns out that the surrounding area is very deserted. Except for KAI Kaga, which is fully booked on weekends, there are almost no crowds. The surrounding shops are either closed or on the way to closing, and the nearby shrines specially marked as tourist attractions are also deserted. The hotel itself, the rooms, the hot springs, the facilities and the food are all average, but it is really not worth the price (it may also be that there are more people on weekends and the price is higher). The high unit price will easily make people look at the small details through a magnifying glass, and they will find that many small areas need to be strengthened. Another drawback is that there is no shuttle service from the station to the hotel (other lower-priced hotels nearby offer that). If you don't happen to pass by and want to take a hot spring bath, it is not recommended to come here specifically. In the end, I didn't give a bad review because the service staff were relatively young and had a good attitude. Xingye has its own set of training for its employees."

"The surroundings are incredibly beautiful, making it a truly healing space. The open-air bath, while a bit obstructed in its view, allows you to enjoy the sound of the river while soaking. "A perfect stay experience can make you happy for a long time. There is no flaw and it must be full of 5 stars, especially the quality of the service staff and the meticulous ordering of dishes. The hot spring here is also very large, and the sister hotel ”Yadoli” can also be used for free. The hotel's shuttle bus runs at 15:30 at Kaga Onsen Station. The hot spring street is very beautiful at night, but not too prosperous, but the facilities are complete and quiet. That's awesome x3. Frankly speaking, I like this place, and I like the three-legged crow doll that takes a hot spring bath. I will bring my friends here again. Thank you."
