"Excuse me, I'm not usually one to write bad reviews, but I have to say something. There's currently construction in two locations. This means construction noise throughout the day at the main building and next to the beach huts. In the evening, it's much worse with day tourists partying until late into the night. They play extremely loud music and talk into microphones. The result is no peace and quiet. Furthermore, this also means longer waiting times for dinner for those who have booked accommodation there, as day tourists are given priority. We waited 2 hours and 20 minutes from the time we ordered, and it was cold. They're overwhelmed with the daily garbage collection. There's garbage everywhere. As a result, there are cockroaches. Regarding room service: They advertise that the room is cleaned daily. Unfortunately, this isn't the case; we have to make the bed ourselves. Currently, you can't go in the water because of jellyfish, but the pool wasn't usable either. Far too expensive; the price-performance ratio is completely off. More like a tourist trap."

"We walked for about 5 minutes from the Calbayog bus station. Got room 410 having sea view. Room door, mirror and shower room door are made from good quality materials, not the regular types we see in other hotels of the same price range. There’s an elevator.Their highest floor is 4th floor. The aircon has heater mode. I used cool mode first and the whole floor was wet after a few minutes so I changed to dry mode and the floor became dry. The Reception lady who quickly checked us in is a nice pleasant lady. They can boil water in an electric kettle at the Reception for 10 Peso if you need to make your instant coffee. They provide basic toiletries but no drinking water. Good hot shower. Toilet flush works very well."

GV Hotel - Catbalogan

"Affordable price and good location as its infront of City Plaza of Catbalogan. However, amenities need to improve as bed sheets and towels has stains and kinda old, there's no toiletries and hot water. Much better if they will replace and add some amenities. Also wifi is too low. On the other hand, the staff are nice and they allow me to check-in early. Recommended for swift stay and if your looking a budget rate."
