"This was truly one of the best 民宿 experiences I have ever had. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. Two gentlemen welcomed us warmly with smiles and immediately helped us carry our luggage, which included two large suitcases and two small suitcases, all the way up to Level 3. We were also given a complimentary room upgrade because a larger room was available, which was such a thoughtful gesture. After checking in, they patiently guided us through the room facilities and made sure we knew how everything worked. On the first day of our stay, they also prepared a beautiful fruit platter and tea for us, which made us feel so welcomed and well taken care of. Their service hours are from 8am to midnight, but what impressed us most was how much they went beyond that. Whenever available, they also had a driver who could send us to the nearby Lijiang Old Town, making our trip even more convenient and worry-free. The level of care and help they provided is honestly beyond words. They made our entire stay comfortable, smooth, and stress-free. Together with the beautiful scenic views, their outstanding service made us fall in love with Lijiang even more and truly made us want to visit again. On our last day, we had to check out at 7am, which was outside their usual working hours. Even so, the owner personally stayed at the counter and set his own alarm just to help us carry our luggage down. He did not have to do this, but he still went out of his way to assist us. He also helped arrange transport to take us to Lijiang Train Station, which made our departure so easy and comfortable. The service at this hotel is genuinely excellent. I almost have no words to describe how grateful we are for such a wonderful stay. This is the first time I am putting so much effort into writing such a long review for a hotel, and that says a lot about how amazing the experience was. If you are visiting Lijiang, I highly, highly recommend this 民宿. The service, hospitality, comfort, and overall experience are truly top-notch. "This hotel is new, I heard it's only been open a few months. The facilities and equipment are all brand new. The bedding is very comfortable, especially the mattress. The quilt is also very large, light and soft without being oppressive. It's obvious that the owner is very attentive and has good taste! This family trip was very pleasant. "I had a very satisfying stay at the hotel. The overall service attitude was excellent, and the in-room amenities, like the Xiao Du smart assistant, made it a smart hotel with comprehensive facilities. "This hotel was our last stop in Shuhe, and it exceeded all expectations. We initially planned to stay one day but ended up extending for another. The guesthouse is located just a few hundred meters, about a five-minute walk, from the North Gate of Shuhe Ancient Town. Since vehicles aren't allowed inside the ancient town and guests struggle with luggage on the cobblestone paths, staying just outside is much more convenient. The owner and staff were incredibly warm and helpful; they proactively offered to assist with our luggage and even upgraded us to a room with a bathtub, which was double the size of our previous room. The decor features typical Naxi-style earth building architecture, yet it feels spacious and grand. You can tell a lot of thought went into the decoration, including ethnic-themed paintings. Every day, the owner greeted us warmly, making us feel right at home. The courtyard is beautifully maintained with azaleas, cherry trees, a swimming pool, a swing, and a pristine lawn, all tidied daily. The guesthouse offers a lovely breakfast; each guest gets a freshly made bowl of rice noodles and milk prepared by an auntie. The owner mentioned the minced meat was stir-fried by them, and it was delicious. Breakfast is served from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. After eating, it's very pleasant to relax in the lobby for a bit. You can play Go or Chinese chess, and there's a piano and guitar. My boyfriend even played a little, creating a very cozy atmosphere. Sometimes you'd hear other guests playing their favorite tunes. It’s a very comfortable stay with a great living vibe, perfect for a short trip with family or friends. We had a wonderfully comfortable two-day stay. When it was time to leave for our next destination, the owner and staff kindly saw us off. Unlike traditional hotels, this place truly makes you feel at home."

"One of the best homestays I’ve ever stayed at! This place is really cleaned, and the views are incredible. It’s also ideally located — just a 10 mins walk to Lijiang Ancient Town, which makes it super convenient for exploring anytime. You’ll have easy access to food, and since many drivers from attractions like Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and Tiger Leaping Gorge typically drop off and pick up in the Old Town, the accommodation's close proximity means these drivers would often offer to drop you directly at the homestay. The owner is incredibly friendly and approachable. He made sure to connect with me on WeChat so I could reach out if needed, and even asked if I had my attraction tickets bought, offering to check their validity - such a thoughtful touch. When I needed an early ride to one of the attractions, he helped arrange a driver for me (really reasonably priced) , anticipating that I might have trouble finding one due to the early hours. Overall, my stay was fantastic, and I highly recommend this place! If you’re thinking about booking, don’t hesitate—just go for it!"

"A fairly new hotel that is simple, clean n comfortable with a pleasant courtyard. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary upgrade to a bigger room. I really appreciate being allowed to check in early ahead of time as well as the free pick up service from the railway station on a rainy day. A special mention to the female receptionist, Ms Luoh who was very helpful communicating with the ground tour driver to arrange pickup from the hotel. The hotel also thoughtfully prepared breakfast for us to bring along our trips to snow Jade mountain n tiger Leaping Gorge which was very much appreciated. The hotel location is quite near to Zhongyi Market n close to the entrance of ancient city n surrounded by many local restaurants just outside the hotel. Highly recommend."

"Traveling to Lijiang Old Town, I decisively chose the Intercity Hotel, and the most pleasant surprise of the entire trip was meeting staff member Shan Yipeng, who absolutely deserves special praise! The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the Grand Water Wheel in the Old Town, making it super convenient to explore on foot. The overall decor is stylish and elegant, the rooms are spacious and clean, the bedding is soft, and the bathroom is tidy and odor-free. The breakfast offers a rich variety, and amenities like the gym and lounge area are all top-notch. The hardware is completely up to standard. Special commendation goes to Shan Yipeng, whose service was warm and meticulous. He was patient and efficient throughout the check-in process, and actively helped us with our luggage and guided us to the parking spot. We were unsure about our sightseeing route in the Old Town, so he thoughtfully planned out unique photo spots and recommended authentic local snacks, helping us avoid tourist traps. When it rained, he proactively offered umbrellas, and when we had a lot of luggage, he readily helped us transport it. In the evenings, when we returned to the hotel, he would cordially ask about our day. When we forgot our charger during our trip, he promptly delivered one. He was incredibly responsive to any request, and his attitude was gentle and sincere, without any perfunctory behavior. The exhaustion from traveling was significantly eased by Shan Yipeng's thoughtful and warm service, making us feel incredibly welcomed in a foreign land. That the hotel can cultivate such an outstanding and attentive employee speaks volumes about their service standards. I highly recommend staying here when visiting Lijiang, and I want to specifically thank Shan Yipeng. The next time I come to Lijiang, I will definitely choose Intercity Hotel again!"

"Here's a breakdown of my experience: **Exclusive Car Service (One room, three consecutive nights stay, choose one of four: airport/station pick-up/drop-off):** Super convenient! I contacted the butler a day in advance for station drop-off. 🚗 **Butler Service:** The butlers (both male and female) were incredibly warm and welcoming. They'd greet us when we left and remind us about the day's weather and temperature – so thoughtful! A few days prior, they called to provide directions to the guesthouse and parking. They even took us on a short electric scooter ride over the old town's stone path to the courtyard. **Snow Mountain View Afternoon Tea:** The courtyard's view completely rivals outside cafes. Guests receive coffee vouchers based on their length of stay (that's my guess, based on the number we received). Spending a relaxing afternoon strolling around the courtyard and sipping coffee is incredibly pleasant ☕️. **Facilities:** The shower had plenty of hot water, the mattress was soft and comfy, and the room was super spacious 🥱. **Cleanliness:** Every afternoon, an auntie would come to ask if we needed cleaning. Towel and water changes were prompt, and she even asked if we wanted vacuuming. **Environment:** The courtyard is large with several picturesque spots perfect for photos. There's also a nightly bonfire, and sitting in a chair watching the stars was incredibly relaxing. **Service:** We could have breakfast daily, and they provided rice noodles, fruits, and vegetable salad in generous portions. The restaurant is very spacious, and since we visited during the off-season, we only saw three or four main guests each morning. It was very quiet and comfortable. There was also a complimentary photography service that I didn't get to use this time, but overall, it was already superb. The dog in the courtyard was also adorable, and I'd always check to see if it was there whenever I went to the courtyard 🐶❤️. Overall, I found no shortcomings, and I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit.☺️☺️"

"The room was very affordable and comfortable, with a view of snow-capped mountains in the distance through the window, and the swimming pool and courtyard nearby. I really liked this room type. Chen Yu at the front desk was very warm and hospitable. On the day of check-in, I asked her to print something, and it was done quickly. During my two-day stay, she helped me print a lot of review materials for my child, and they were all completed promptly. I really want to give a thumbs up to Chen Yu and also express my gratitude to her. 🙏"
