"We enjoyed staying at this hotel. Clean. There is a heater. Delicious breakfasts. Upon arrival there were welcome fruits, chips and water. It was very pleasing, because we arrived late, did not want to go out to eat, but it was important to have a snack. They helped with a taxi to the train station, at a price lower than what was offered in the city. Of the minuses, very long registration and filling out a lot of paperwork upon arrival."

"We stayed at this hostel and had a great experience! The receptionists Anuj Thapa and Ajay were essential to making our stay so pleasant. The cook, Sanjay, was also extremely kind and helpful — especially because I was having some health issues at the time. Even though I love spicy food, I couldn’t eat any during that period, and he went out of his way to prepare special meals for me. I really appreciated that! The location would be even better if the bridge wasn’t under maintenance, but of course, that’s not the hostel’s fault. Our room was beautiful, decorated with a Van Gogh theme (which I personally love). The balcony was huge, the internet worked consistently, and everything functioned perfectly. The terrace view is also lovely, even though it doesn’t overlook the Ganga River. Overall, it was a comfortable and memorable stay — highly recommended!"

"Threatening experience ****** I am writing my detailed review about my stay at Ecko Hotel, Tapovan, which I booked directly with the hotel. Only good part of this place is it’s location. Rest all is disaster - 1. Electric kettle missing from the room. 2. Drinking water not provided even after 4–5 calls to reception. 3. Breakfast mismanagement: I paid ₹2,500 per night for stay + ₹500 for breakfast, the following issues occurred • Day 1: Breakfast promised at 7:30 AM but started at 9:00 AM. • Day 2: Breakfast denied due to early (at 7:30) checkout despite prior intimation. • Refund of ₹500 was refused citing policy, even though service was not provided. The most serious issue was the conduct of the General Manager. During a phone call, he: • Accused me of being drunk (false and offensive), • Spoke in a threatening manner, • Insisted I meet him personally, which I declined due to safety concerns as a solo female traveler, • Later called me again on my personal mobile number after I had ended the matter. So this is serious and threatening."
