"Pretty tired hotel in a god location, took ages to check in, almost thirty minutes and there was a long queue behind me and just two people on the desk. This may not sound like a big deal, but when you arrive at a city and just have the evening, half an hour is a long time. I jumped straight in the shower before heading out - no towels! In a 5 star hotel. I had to use the duvet cover off one of the beds to dry off. Told reception and the towels were there when I got back from town. Generally the room is shabby, shower curtain attached by just a few rings, cracked tiles etc. Breakfast was ok but again, a coffee machine in a 5 star? Someone constantly dragging chairs around somewhere for maybe an hour, no exaggeration, like they were dragging one after another about 10 meters each time. Great view from the 5th floor pool and terrace. Would never stay again."

"We stayed here for two nights as part of a tour group. Overall our experience was very poor for this expensive hotel (over ($400/night). Let me list the problems: -The room and bathroom were tiny, dated and worn. - No counter space in the bathroom. - Given the shower configuration it was impossible to not flood the entire bathroom. - The mini fridge was so warm it was useless plus no bottle opener. Few glasses. - The AC was weak at best but at least we could open the window for cool air and it was quiet (one of the few pluses). - The robe was old and worn. -Sharp broken glass edges on nightstand topper. - Service was generally brusk and unfriendly. Two pluses were good location close to many attractions and the breakfast buffet (though also over priced). And the public spaces were nice... This place has seen better days. Try the Rabat Marriott where we stayed for two nights before our tour - that is an excellent hotel not this place!"

"Let’s have a honest review. Check-in : Delayed to a great extent. No welcome, greetings. Only the keys were handed out. Nothing explained, not even the direction to the elevators. Neither the breakfast timings nor the floor. Room : Extremely small, hardly any room to move, not what you see in the pictures (photo attached). Completely non functional AC. In fact, the room was hotter than outside. We had to open the narrow slit-like window to-let the outside cold come in. However low you put it, it’s not going below 25 deg C, that’s because the compressor isn’t on (saving electricity for the hotel) only the fan is spinning. Pillows as high as the Himalayas. Bed uncomfortable. Wifi very very slow. The refrigerator doesn’t cool (not replaced inspite of complaints). No amenities like a swimming pool, gym, designated parking (which are compulsory for a 4-star). Bathroom: The hand shower for the commode doesn’t work. No light above the mirror, difficult to shave or put on makeup (by my spouse). Warm water alternating with cold water bursts from the shower. Breakfast : Plenty of types of bread, but there aren’t any fruits, no hot items, no vegetables, only Beef sausages. Oh and a bland tasteless rice soup. Possibly they don’t know what items are to be kept on the breakfast table for a 4-star. If it had been designated as a 2-star, I wouldn’t have had any complaints, but charging the rates of a 4-star, is simply what you call is ‘cheating your customers.’ Overall : Absolutely not recommended. The facilities that were offered suites a roadside motel."

However, what truly sets Fairmont Rabat-Salé apart is the people. Every member of staff we encountered was professional, kind, attentive, and genuinely cared about making our stay special. For the first time in a very long time, we felt like valued guests rather than just another room number. The level of hospitality was exceptional and made a lasting impression on us. We have stayed in many hotels around the world, including several luxury properties, but the service we experienced here was on another level. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so memorable. We will definitely be back."

"I booked this hotel based on its proximity to Rabat Ville train station. It's about 10 minutes walk. We booked directly through the hotel's website. The confirmation showed both its price in Euro and DH. When we arrived and wanted to pay in Euro, for some strange reasons, the staff claimed they could not accept Euro payment. After travelling for over a month in Morocco, this was the first accommodation that rejected payment in Euro. We didn't accept and requested that they counter checked with their manager. Subsequently, whenever we asked whether they had checked, the staff would just insist that we pay in DH. The staff kept asking us to go outside to exchange DH. The final straw came when we put our foot down and told the staff that we would only pay in Euro or nothing. A more senior staff was around and from our conversation with him, we found out that the Euro amount stated in the confirmation email was somehow lower than the room rate stated in DH. In other words, it's not that the hotel couldn't accept Euro payment. They wanted us to bear the exchange rate losses. Fortunately, we had everything in black and white. Wouldn't return as our stay in Rabat was spoilt."

"I really loved this hotel in Rabat. The location is just outside the medina and across the road from the Kasbah. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is the typical Moroccan breakfast. You have to ask for an egg if you want one. On the first floor next to the lift there is a little patio with two cute tortoises on it. They were so cute. Will definitely stay again if I’m back in Rabat."

Four Seasons Hotel Rabat at Kasr Al Bahr
"This hotel is intended to be more a business hotel for short stays but we stayed there 11 nights for vacation and had a wonderful time there. The architecture of the hotel is amazing. The gym and spa are great - we went to work out every day. The sauna has a snow room where you can cool down afterwards. The outdoor pool was way too cold at our stay and maybe better in summer. But the temperature of the indoor pool was well. Breakfast was good and the atmosphere inside or outside in the restaurant was very special: never crowded and always smooth and calm like we like it. Location was also good but close to a big street so that you hear the sound of the cars at the pool area - which did not bother us but is good to know if you choose this location. One of the best things about a Four season Hotel is always the people working there. They really do a lot more than in other hotels. We once had a complimentary marroccan tea ceremony in our room just without any special reason and without even asking for it. We love tea and Dalal prepared a wonderful tea with fresh mint for us. Delicius.For easter there were nice complimentary activities for the kids and every kid got a nice present for free. This is how you do business as a hotel to your guest: you really feel welcome all the time. Especially Ilias Mahrady did an amazing job to keep us happy all the time - thank you very much again. There is nothing to complain about except that kids are not allowed in the indoor pool."

Rooms lacking in decor, a little touch up of paint would help. Bathroom requires a shower screen or curtain to avoid the whole bathroom floor becoming wet when showering. Lack of direct fresh air coming into the room as all windows opening into the breakfast room (lacking privacy). Very difficult to find within the medina with some very dirty areas to walk through to reach the accommodation."

"Hotel standard for a 5* hotel, but it is far from this. Welcome and kindness are very good, rooms are nice, very cosy living rooms, but hairdrier was not working and was not changed, minibar is poor, swimming pool was closed as far as terrace was not working. No bar service at all, lunch not in the activities as far as restaurant for dinner. No a la carte menù. Not a 5* without restaurant and bar. I may close an eye on not having a spa or swimmingpool...but at least a bar should always be available. Last but most relevant, hotel declares to be in the mood of nature, so they keep a couple of little parrots in a cage in the livingroom, so tiny they cannot even fly. I asked if parrots may fly free at least once a day and reply was NO: "they poo and wee around...but we love animals! Tourists like them". I strongly doubt turisti select the hotel for parrocchiale and will not have a better esperienze from that during the stay ( a working bar should have a better effect). The ehole world is going in the opposite directory in banning zoos, in letting animals free and living as their nature is. THIS IS SUSTAINABLE, ETHICAL AND COMPLIANT, WHILE HAVING PARROTS DISPLAIED IN PUBLIC IN A CAGE IS ABOMINOUS, OLD FASHIONED AND CRUEL. THEY ARE IN JAIL AND HAVE DONE NORHING BUT BEING THEMSELVES: SINGING. This makes my esperience here quite poor and I hope these 2 parrots to be left free as Soon as possibile. THIS IS NOT NATURAL FRIENDLY, THIS IS FAR FROM MODERN CULTURE AND BY DEFINITION TO BLAME."

"We stayed one night. The Riyad is deep in the Medina and can be hard to find, but they will send someone to bring you from the parking. Rooms are comfortable, well decorated in traditional Moroccan style and eclectic. Nice hot showers. Delicious breakfast in the morning. We enjoyed our stay, only issue is managing getting luggage from parking to the Riyad because it is a long walk, but they are very helpful and nice."
