"We travelled as a family group . There were a few technical problems with various items which were expertly resolved by Giovanni Calledda the Hotel Manager. His staff were immensely helpful under his direction. Our small grandsons had a wonderful time playing football, fencing, swimming with expert tuition. Weather was perfect and beds most comfortable."

Abamar Hotel

Abamar Hotel

📍 S.da Statale 195 Sulcitana, Santa Margherita di Pula
★★★★ 7.3 (51 reviews)

"The worst, dirtiest old hotel I've ever stayed at. Everything is old and dirty. The staff is very unfriendly—never helpful. The worst part was that even though the balcony was closed, there were mosquitoes everywhere. We killed mosquitoes until 4:30 in the morning. Then we realized they were coming through the ventilation shaft. They bit us all over. There was no mirror in the room, not even a showerhead. At 7 a.m., we were woken up by the sound of a vacuum cleaner and the cleaners shouting to each other. Everything was terrible, a mosquito-infested, filthy old hotel. The coffee at breakfast was burnt and disgusting. I couldn't drink it. Everything was awful. I want a refund. It was the worst experience of my life."

Noha Lifestyle Hotel - Adults Only

📍 Strada Comunale Su Guventeddu, Nora
★★★★ 8.7 (2 reviews)

"The hotel was lovely on the inside but needs some tlc outside in the grounds. The pool area is poor with cheap AstroTurf surrounding the pool which was very uneven. Lots of seagulls using the pool as a bath so lots of bird excrement all over the astro. Lots of mature weeds all over the stoned area between the carpark and the pool, very untidy looking. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. Bedroom and bathroom extremely comfortable. Hotel is small and a car would be needed as its about 40min walk into Pula. 8min walk to the beach. Bikes available at the hotel."

Villa Cavalieri Country Hotel

Villa Cavalieri Country Hotel

📍 Stra Vicinale di Gutturu Longu, Pula
★★★★ 9.3 (39 reviews)

"Excellent stay in this unusual hotel. Formerly a renovated stud farm. Everything is perfect. Decor, atmosphere, accommodation. We stayed in the junior suite, with a small private pool (108). The staff were very attentive, the breakfasts were very good, and the restaurant was charming, under the moonlit arbors, as romantic as you could wish! On the other hand, the wifi was unreliable and there were no French channels (which is not usually a problem, but we were in the middle of the Olympics and would have liked to have been a little more informed!)"

Hotel Flamingo

Hotel Flamingo

📍 Via Flumendosa, Santa Margherita, Pula
★★★★ 7.9 (64 reviews)

"It was a very nice hotel with nice people always around. It is very close to a small city which has nice pizzerias and night life. It is also a 45 minute drive from the capital cagliari. It is a nice place to relax but it does have roman ruins 5km away to visit which is a nice day out but not much else nearby and the hotel itself only has a pool and gym to offer so it will be best to plan trips beforehand if you decide to."

Forte Village Resort - Villa Del Parco & Spa Hotels in Pula

Forte Village Resort - Villa Del Parco & Spa

"We stayed in Forte Village Resort - Castello II in August for 5 nights (bungalow no 409). Unfortunatelly this hotel is far away from 5 stars. There are many better options anywhere else in the world and if Forte Village wants to charge the prices they do, they need to do some market research and see what their competitors globally offer in return. Comperatively for example to Maxx Royal hotels or One and Only Portonovi this hotel is max 2-3 stars. You have to pay for everything additional - even to rent a bikes. Pools are old and dirty and needs to be renovated. Lifeguard blocks sunbets on Castello swimming pool by putting newsoapers on it for the „special guets” (like in Egypt :) Very often sunbeds are blocked all day and guests never come.. I asked manager (older guy) from the reception the reason they do this and he said that there are some „special guests” that pay more for the rooms and they have priority… he could not understand my anger. The big advantage of the hotel is staff - everyone always have a friendly and helpful attitude. Especially guys from Tiki Beach Bar, Andrea from diving center (fantastic instructor for kids with huge experience and great attitude), Marco from the grill restaurant (he has the potential to be a manager) Hotel defenietely has a grat potential because of its location but it needs to be reorganised and renovated."

Forte Village Resort - Pineta Hotels in Pula

Forte Village Resort - Pineta

"Please read before booking. We wish we had. The bad and reason for 2 star review is that we booked and paid 5 star prices, but the accommodation, food and ambiance is 3 star at best. The good. The range of activities. The sports academy was excellent. The u club excellent. The football academy was excellent. The staff we met were very very good. They and the customers are being let down by the resort. Why? Well, the whole resort is very tired. The worst accommodation we have stayed in. The buildings of Pineta are badly in need of renovation. Our building had flaking paint and broken/rotting wood. The interiors were utilitarian, basic, worn, out dated and cheap. Not the luxury 5 star accommodation we expected. We were so disappointed. We paid £7,000 for 7 nights. Unfortunately the room reflected pretty much the full resort. Restaurants - Pineta. Decor tired. Outside buffet restaurant. Food uncovered. Food nice. Open to flies and wasps. Staff very nice. Free wine and water. Sardo. Waiter service. Decor poor. Food not really to our taste, but nice. Staff lovely. Forte Grill. Food good. Decor poor. Staff lovely. Oasis for breakfast. Very poor experience. Buffet, open to outdoors. Food okay, but not covered. Flies everywhere. All over food. Not enough tables and we were there before the English holidays started. Often we had to sit in the sun, as all tables in shade were full. Pools - pineta. Tiny pool. Dirty glass round pool. No bar. Just fridge to buy drinks. Felt more like a decorative pond than pool. Oasis pool. Large pool with bar. However. Glass dirty. Pool not clean. Sand often round bottom. Weeds growing up round tiles and glass. Hard to get lounger in gazebo, so often no shade as no umbrellas. Drinks - extremely expensive. This would be fine if we felt the resort was 5 star. But we were paying 20 euros for a glass of whispering angel in a restaurant that didn’t support that kind of price. We found that really hard. Public toilets - the ladies were fine. Dated but staff seem to clean. The men’s were terrible. The smell of urine hit you as you walked by. I was shocked. We felt badly about our holiday. We work hard and paid a lot of money and the resort was not as it looks in the pictures. This was so disappointing. The good was the staff. They are mostly young and trying. But they are let down by the quality of the resort. Our son loved the u club. Matteo and Margarite are a credit to the company. The football academy was excellent. Staff lovely and set up very good. Bikes good and concierge at bikes very nice man. We will not return and not recommend. Wish we’d went on a cruise."

"A simply perfect stay. The Is Molas resort is nestled in a stunning natural setting, surrounded by greenery and absolute peace: an ideal place to recharge and unwind. The property is meticulously maintained, from the common areas to the tastefully furnished rooms, designed to offer maximum comfort. Special praise goes to the staff, always available, friendly, and attentive to every need, making every guest feel truly pampered. The atmosphere is one of true relaxation and harmony. Both breakfast and dinner were an unforgettable experience: fresh ingredients, a wide variety, and carefully prepared, high-quality dishes that showcase the local flavors to their fullest."

Italianway - Locanda Della Meridiana

"The complex is truly beautiful. However, it's not quite as positive as many people portray it. The rooms are quite small (with a few exceptions), and the street noise is sometimes quite loud. All of this is manageable, but what wasn't so positive was the attitude with which you were sometimes treated. It was quite patronizing when asking about the room category. A bit more friendliness at reception would have made it more enjoyable. Another recommendation: A bit more choice at breakfast (perhaps an egg, cheese, etc.)"

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the workers in the hotel for excellent work. The high standard of the hotel is also evidenced by the fact that divers people have been working there for more than 20 years. Our family has been coming to the hotel since 2007. Also I want to thank the director of the hotel s facilities Nicola Puddu for hotel facilities. The hotel has a great atmosphere and look even better in real life than in the photos. The only thing that really bothers me about this hotel is that this hotel does not own. Meantime :-) Michal"

Forte Village Resort - le Palme ★★★★
"Our stay here sadly did not live up to our expectations at all, mostly because we paid top 5 star prices, and felt we got 3 star service and room and food. Furthermore, being charged extra for everything was stressful, from €70 for 1 hour tennis court with racquet hire €10 per racquet, rental of bikes €25 per day each ((and having to LOCK them every time we left for the shortest time, not easy or cool with children), €25 per cocktail, having the pay for water to drink once the small amount of complimentary water in room was used, being charged for food that simply didn't arrive, having a bill put down halfway through dinner every evening for the beer ordered, being told that the Castello pool was 'private' by a very unfriendly lifeguard (.no signs to say this)....the list of bad experiences is endless I'm afraid. Many of the staff are untrained and not interested in proper customer care, with a few exceptions. It was so expensive, we expected a far far superior experience and think maybe more attention is spent on marketing than on customer care. Honestly don't understand all the fantastic reviews, sorry, and we won't be returning."

"We stayed at the hotel for three days. The location is in Pula, to the center of the town and the town square is about 15 minutes walk. The staff is friendly, advises and informs about the island. They also have list of taverns, pizzerias and restaurants nearby they recommend. The hotel itself has its own pizzeria, but we preferred to walk to the city center for dinner. The rooms are clean, daily cleaned, towels changed, air conditioned. In the rooms viewed towards the main road, traffic noise is heard, you have to have the window closed. Breakfast is good, the staff fulfills additional wishes. I would praise Nicola, who was preparing excellent coffee and breakfast. The hotel also has a swimming pool, but unfortunately we didn't use it. To go the coast you need a car, it is a little too far away to walk. There is also a shop under the hotel where you can stock up with drinks and food for traveling around the island. I recommend this hotel!"

Hotel Mare Pineta ★★★
"Okay, this was an amazing find and proved a wonderful experience. Although we found this hotel by default (after staying at a really scary lodging), and desperately needed another spot to stay, this place was a real gem on many levels. Firstly, this place is more remote from Cagliari proper, so if you're hoping to have daily time in Cagliari this might not be the best bet, BUT if you're looking for a vacation, a place that is calm, restorative, right on the water, and feels very private, this place will really deliver.Nestled in a forest of pine trees right next to the beach, this enclave of small huts/rooms are designed to feel both cozy and modern. The room has all the needs: big bed, TV, skylit bathroom and good shower, and really feels like a sweet space. We had our room with an unexpected bonus room, where we could unload our luggage and sort our clothes. Within 30 feet of a pool, then just beyond, a private beach, where the water is amazingly clear, and where you can walk to adjacent grounds and hotels, although it doesnt feel crazy touristy. We later found other hotels that while placed on the beach were really touristy vibe, Mare Pineta felt tartswonderfully remote. The grounds offer a sweeping area to hang out in ( a veranda?) and two large dining areas, one for morning, one for evening ( have to prearrange that), and the breakfast buffet was beyond expectations ( eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit, cereal, yogurt, coffee/tea, croissants in three flavors, tarts and pastries. Forget it: you will wake up for that spread. The staff are courteous and friendly, and field any questions about the nearest town - Pula, and what can be found there. Definitely need a rental car for this location, but its worth it, and we drove into Cagliari for finds and sites ( recommend Old Cagliari). The drive is about a half hour passing through more rural parts of Sardinia, the flamingos, and what is mostly farming outskirts. Quiet, calming environment to restore and rest, and nearby Pula is pretty chuck full of anything you might want - from supermarkets to restaurants- all very rustic and lovely. Only a few slight issues: problematic wifi (need to be near the main house to get a good reception, but if you're relaxed, as we were, it doesn't feel like it matters), to check out you need to go to their mothership hotel The Flamingo (jazzier and more touristy) before leaving so do that a day before if your'e flying, and no way to make tea or coffee in the room which would've been nice. Otherwise, it was like visiting a little corner of heaven. On leaving we were definitely grateful and happy we'd stayed there. there are lots of photos online to see what its like that are reflective of what you'll find."

"The location was very quiet and pleasant. The staff was friendly and tried very hard. The breakfast was plentiful and tasted very good. Although the hotel is still quite new, the grout in the bathroom already had mold spots and the toilet paper holder was loose. The room was nice but minimalist in its furnishings. A closet would have been great. The bed was very comfortable."

"We arrived late to check in and when we entered the foyer we were tantalised by the most delicious smell of baking cakes...and when we questioned the host, she replied;" Oh, that's for your breakfast tomorrow!" The hotel is so beautifully decorated, the rooms are bright, airy and spacious with a beautiful outlook over their lovely surrounding garden. The whole place is immaculately clean and the breakfast that is included in the price, was divine! The beautiful couple that manage this accomodation deserve all the praise in the world for creating such a warm and welcoming place to stay in. Thank you so much for your genuinely warm hospitality💕🥂💎"

Hotel Flamingo ★★★★
"Our stay at Hotel Flamingo was an absolute nightmare from the moment we arrived. The hygiene in the hotel is appalling – mouldy bathrooms, broken toilet seats, rust everywhere, and dirty towels. There was no shampoo provided, and to our horror, we found insects in the bed, dust covering every surface, and broken floor tiles. The pool was no better – the steps were broken and dangerous, the sunbeds filthy, and we even had to pay extra for pool and beach towels, along with the beach sunbeds. The breakfast was of a very poor standard with no refills provided. The hotel was severely understaffed, leading to us waiting over an hour just to have our orders taken in the restaurant and bar. Some of the reception staff were incredibly grumpy and unhelpful, adding to our frustration. Only a few of the hotel staff were willing to try and help. To make matters worse, there was no entertainment at the hotel, and absolutely nothing to do in the area – not even a decent cafe or restaurant nearby. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere. We were so disappointed and stressed that we ended up booking and paying for a flight home on the second day, cutting short what was supposed to be a week-long holiday. To add insult to injury, the hotel has no proper system for allocating guest expenses. Upon checking out, we were charged for numerous items we never ordered, as other guests had fraudulently put their charges on our room. We had to constantly monitor our spending and document everything for proof, which is not something anyone should have to do on holiday. The hotel was falsely advertised as a 4-star by Love Holidays, with fake pictures and inflated ratings. Despite reaching out multiple times, Love Holidays has ignored all our calls and emails. This entire experience feels like a scam, and I would strongly advise anyone considering this hotel or booking through Love Holidays to stay far away. They’ve taken our money and left us with nothing but stress and disappointment."
