Perfectly located hotel. Walking distance to a lot of great cafe’s. Not too far from the Metro if you wish to use it. Rooms have been updated since our last stay. Beds are comfortable with a clean bathroom and an automatic toilet. Rooms were cleaned daily with added water bottles.

Good location and well-maintained hotel albeit a bit old. Within walking distance of good malls and restaurants. Staff were nice and helpful. Recommend for quick business trips if you’re on a budget and location/accessibility is important.

Everything was really nice, the only complaint I have is there would often be a smoky smell coming from the ventilation. I was really confused at where this was coming from as it was a smoke free floor so we often had to turn off the AC just to prevent the room from smelling.

Great location, good size room and the service was pretty good. However it needs to be cleaner in terms of dusting and public area. But the value for money is there.

Hotel has a good location, but it is rather old. It is nearby a major shopping mall. I will say good enough for the price paid. There is no YouTube available on the TV.

Great location. Hotel staff were excellent. I was unable to return to the hotel by check out time so I called the hotel who offered to help me pack my belongings on my behalf and they did a great job. Very helpful staff.

Took the family room , 2 single beds were roll away bed which was super super super hard
Pillows practically flat , requested for firm pillows and for 4 days nothing came
King size bed was so firm and hard that if you are a side sleeper it will cause blue black bruises
Room carpet was old and dirty !

After the Mariah Carey concert, myself and my friend booked a room at the Howard Johnson. We got upgraded to the 16th floor which was fantastic because this floor has Nescafé Espresso coffee machines. We loved this spacious room, copious bottles of water and the l’occitane toiletries. Thanks to Maggie for help with our food delivery! It’s a home away from home and I will never falter to book again.

I loved the room and the cool air conditioning. I enjoyed the signature scent in the lobby and the rooms. And after leaving a ring in my room the staff made sure i retrieved it promptly. Loved the stay.

I was terribly disappointed with our stay in this Howard Johnson from Nov 11 to Nov 16 for below reasons:
1) During the check in on Nov 11 afternoon, the lady at the front desk failed to find my reservation with my passport so I gave her a hard copy of my trip.com reservation confirmation. However, she forgot to give it back to me. The next day when I asked for it at the front desk, I was told it had been thrown away. No big deal but a little surprising.
2) After I moved into my room 1301 on Nov 11 afternoon, we flushed the electronic toilet by pressing the button on the left side of the toilet bowl. However, the button failed to bounce back. The result was a disaster because the toilet water flooded my bathroom. Your serviceman told us we should have used the remote control but we didn't know and nobody ever explained to us how to use the remote control. Another problem was that whenever we walked by the toilet, the seat automatically went up which was very annoying. The second time when we flushed the toilet with the remote control, it didn't work. We called the serviceman and he told us the remote control was turned off! We decided the electronic toilet was not our cup of tea and moved to room 1215 the next day.
3) During our stay it was warm and humid and the front desk told me it was the government's order not to supply air-con cool air after a certain date so there was nothing he could do. We sweated every night and could not sleep well. Your breakfast room was also hot. I was in shorts and still sweated as I had my breakfast.
4) I found out the CNN channel was jumping up and down and freezing continuously. It simply could not be watched. Your technician told us a reason I didn't understand that there was nothing he could do. That was a big disappointment as I chose to stay in Howard Johnson because it is a CNN channel partner hotel.
5) The shower stall door leaked shower water to the bathroom floor because some sealant was missing on the shower stall door hinge. The towels were of poor quality as they did not absorb water on our wet body.
6) The coil of the hairdryer was too short to dry hair in front of a mirror.
7) The sockets in the room were not uniform. As a result I had to test every socket in the room before I could find two sockets that would fit my adapters for iphone and apple watch.
Conclusion: I was terribly disappointed with our stay in this hotel. On November 17, I emailed my above complaint to the hotel's General Manager and received no response.

Booked the 2 room bedroom. Room was very spacious, including the bathroom. Sufficient space for luggages as well. Will return to this hotel in future. Location very near iapm mall, which is linked to the metro.

The hotel’s location is excellent, and I found the value for money to be very reasonable.
However, we had a negative experience regarding noise and cigarette smoke coming from the hallway. Although we stayed on a non-smoking floor, several guests were smoking in the corridor, and unfortunately, the smell made its way into our room. The staff was unable to resolve the issue despite our concerns. I was also surprised that the smoke detectors didn’t go off, even though the hallway was visibly filled with smoke on multiple occasions. I hope the hotel can address this in the future, as otherwise it has great potential.
