"Lovely stay at St Andrews House. Clean, comfortable room with a large bathroom and an excellent high-pressure shower — always available, never an issue. Even though ours was a shared bathroom, the room had its own scented hand-wash bits, a nice touch. Comfortable bed and a good working TV — I even caught the England match. Staff were genuinely kind and accommodating. Breakfast was very good: cooked to order plus non-cooked options, so plenty of choice and great value. Traditional, personal feel rather than a chain. Highly recommend."

"From the minute we arrived Matt and Riman was very attentive and couldn’t do enough for us and with Matts approach he sold more than I think he realised we had a bear to help great Ormond street hospital which is an excellent cause and he said the bar is where we could relax once we had unpacked. Which we took up that offer of drink to unwind. The room was very clean and set up well for my family. The breakfast was excellent and everything fresh and was refreshed and replenished all throughout while we were in the dining room. We have stopped at a lot of premier inns and they s is the best so far. I don’t usually write on Tripadvisor but this was that good I couldn’t let this stay go by with out commenting."

"Arrived for a four night stay, given a menu to read while we had a drink. Came to order, no nachos, no king prawns , no cauliflower. That’s 25% of the menu gone. As we’re staying for 4 nights, I asked if those items were likely to be available on subsequent nights to be told, I doubt it 🤷🏻♂️. I did suggest someone could pop into Tesco tomorrow and do some shopping but apparently that’s not allowed. How do you run out of Nachos which come in a sealed package with a shelf life of 12 months or prawns which come frozen. As we had already had a drink we ate in. It seems the chef had a timer, 15 minutes after our starters arrived, the mains were brought out without anyone checking if we had finished our starters. The food we had was ok but really, who does the ordering? No I know, no one does.🤦 Nice room but it seems we will be eating out on subsequent nights."

"This is our second stay at Longridge House and my second review, we are also getting married at the venue in December. We love this venue, but I do again have a couple of niggles, which I will get to later. We attended the BBQ event on Saturday, it was wonderful, great posh dogs, the singer was brilliant and sitting on the terrace with a nice Chenin Blanc was just bliss. Fabulous afternoon then had dinner in the restaurant, I had the soup, followed by Mr R's cheese pie and my partner had the prawns and rib eye steak. The food was presented well and on time, it tasted lovely, but unfortunately the peas were cold :(. It was remedied but instead of taking the whole plate away the lady brought me some warm peas in a seperate pot which was a bit strange. Had some lovely red wine with the meal and overall we were very satisfied. The room was large, the bed really comfy, but I gave feedback last time about the coffee mugs and can see that another reviewer has too - please get some with handles, its a burn hazard waiting to happen, especially for older less dextrose people. There was also no hairdryer in the room which we did report on checkout. Some issues at breakfast sadly, orange juice had run out, we asked for it, but it was never refilled. Coffee was very slow to arrive and couldn't get hot milk as she said the machine wasn't working, had that issue last time so maybe needs a new one (or just microwave a jug?) Breakfast really tasty, the eggs bacon and sausage are really good, could probably do with being a tad hotter, but thoroughly enjoyed it. We are very much looking forward to our wedding here, its a stunning place, but please take the feedback on the cups seriously and staff just need to be on point a bit more on the breakfast goods, it will be full with all of our guests in December, they will prompt, hot coffee and juice after a heavy night i'm sure hee hee! Staff are super friendly thought and helpful when you ask for anything, see you again soon"

Really great, friendly service, beautifully clean premises and room, gorgeous smelling linen, really comfy bed… best nights sleep I’ve had in a hotel. And riverside views. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to stay again. Great location - only a 10 min walk into the heart of the city centre, also on the doorstep of beautiful walks along the river Ribble through Miller Park and Avenham Park."

"The room and bathroom were clean, the mug and kettle, coffee-tea-sugar and milk were prepared in a tray, even the room had a fan and heater which I didn't use , because weather was good but it was really good I saw them in the closet, I asked for iron and hair dryer, reception was a super nice gentleman who explained to me everything I needed. I stayed for one night, but I recommend strongly, better than Airbnb, no Airbnb with same or higher price accepted my request because I just wanted a night and all of them said you should at least book for 3nights! The other reason is I had my own shower and toilet. there is no need to share it with others,and lock the door. The doors had electronic locks, though, really safe and close to different bus stations. Thank you!"

"Hotel was really really bad it smells like dirty dogs soon you walk in there the lift smells the same the hallway was the same and also had blood all over the carpet and you can see footprints in the blood. The room smells really really bad it was dirty the bathroom door you couldn’t close at all the door were you put your keycard in was about to full off you couldn’t lock your door in the inside of your room . I started in many Travelodge but this one was that bad i can still smell the dirty and dog smell. I should of took more photos"
