Hotel Mediteran Plava Laguna
"Rude reception staff rooms very small. No kettle not enough pillows. Terrible attitude of some reception staff. The buffet is uncontrold no order and like a zoo"
Isabella Island Hotel & Villas, Valamar Collection
"I don't often write reviews but I wanted to write my honest reflections to hopefully make people feel better who have booked. I felt quite anxious before arrival based on reviews I had read but I didn't need to worry at all. Upon arrival we were allocated a room on the third floor facing the pool. Our daughter is a tall 11 and the tiny sofa bed probably was more suited to a 3/4 year old at best. We hate complaining but my husband chatted to Reception and they were fantastic. They reallocated us to a room on the second floor at the front of the hotel which was much bigger, had a decent single sized sofa bed and a stunning view of Porec and out to sea. It was all dealt with extremely quickly and efficiently. The room itself is well equipped and the housekeeping service are great. Very friendly and always try and work around when they know you are out. The All Inclusive package isn't the most comprehensive we have had but it is fine and has catered for what we need. The breakfast food is beautiful and varied. Lunch is slightly limited. I would love to see some more healthier options. There is limited salad but I struggled finding a protein to go with it other than pork which I didn't want every day. Dinner has plenty of options. It is of a similar variety each night with some variation. The fresh fish night was definitely our favourite. All food is lovely and fresh and cooked infront of you which I like. If you are a big drinker you may find the drinks package a bit limited. For us, it is absolutely fine as my husband always likes to drink local beer and myself and my daughter were happy with the soft drink options. There are also some limited spirits included. Breakfast, lunch, a snack and dinner are included so there is food available pretty much all day from the main restaurant. If you want ice cream and snacks from other outlets you do need to pay. The hotel and grounds are absolutely immaculate. We are early risers and watched with amazement each morning as a small army thoroughly cleaned and pruned the grounds. There is even a lovely young lady who comes over a couple of times a day with a Hawk to move the seagulls away, which come part and parcel with being at the seaside. We very much enjoy chatting to her and she is extremely knowledgeable. The hotel really do think of everything to try and ensure you have a comfortable and enjoyable time. Sunbed availability goes fast as we are here in high season but we always managed to get somewhere, usually down by the beach as we love being down here. There are roped off swimming areas, with jetties to slide or jump off. They could do with the ladders being reattached as we have seen a few people cut themselves pulling up onto them. The pool is fairly small for the amount of people here but it is nice, well kept and has 2 slides which my daughter enjoys. We just prefer the laid back vibe on the beach and enjoyed watching the boats go by. The island is lovely. We enjoyed daily walks around the is"
Hotel Zorna Plava Laguna
"Even 1 star would be too much for this hotel. The room is old, one socket and bed would be excessive - mattress rather"
Solaris Camping Resort
"Large, well-equipped, and not overcrowded campsite. The location is extraordinary, and every access to the sea is safe, with various useful supports to prevent slips and falls. All bathrooms are spotless at all hours. Also convenient for people with disabilities. The only major drawback is the astronomical prices at the on-site markets and various bars (for example, a 2-liter bottle of water costs €4, or coffees cost €2.50, or even €3.50 if you order a long one). To get around this, just take the car and go to a nearby supermarket. Other than that, everything is excellent."
Hotel Albatros Plava Laguna
"Whilst I understand this was an all inclusive, the drinks on offer were poor and the food average. The pools and sun beds are far too small for a hotel of this size."
Valamar Parentino Hotel
"We had really lovely time in hotel. Food was great, staff very nice, friendly. Rooms clean. Atmosphere was perfect, holidays alike. We well be returning."
Hotel Dua Residence
"The location was great, close to the long-distance bus terminal. The entrance is inconspicuous, next to a kebab shop, so I walked right past it without noticing it at first. The single room was in the attic with only a skylight, offering a sky view. That's great, but part of the roof sags at an angle, so even though I was careful, I still hit my head on it a few times. Tall people should be especially careful!"
Valamar Riviera Hotel & Residence
"Did not start well, our Jet2 coach arrived at the car park check in cabin about 10pm.It was closed (it also was on our return about 5pm so I do not know if it ever opens). No hotel taxi, just a number to ring. Fortunately the coach driver stayed with us, made several phone calls in Croatian and after what seemed ages a taxi arrived. Actual hotel reception was efficient, the superior room was exactly what we wanted with balcony and beautiful sea view. Breakfast was excellent, all staff efficient and very friendly. I do not like air conditioning and prefer to sleep with fresh sea air through the balcony door. Unfortunately there is a loud refuse truck every 6.30 am and late on Friday and Saturday there was still a lot of noise from cafes and restaurants. Not a problem if you keep the door closed at these times! The hotel location is excellent, plenty of restaurants nearby, the Venice ferry leaves virtually directly in front and a walk round the marina will get you to the Noddy train which runs to Zelena Laguna. I am in my late 70s but the casual return walk with a coffee at Plava Laguna and a long lunch nearer Porec gets you back to the hotel in nice time for a cup of tea on the balcony before going out for an Aperol Spitz. Very enjoyable, would definitely stay at this hotel again. Younger people with children would prefer the many larger hotels with pools and facilities."
Hotel Materada Plava Laguna
"Super good hotel with activities at the pool. Nice garden with many different kind of trees."

Lanterna Resort
"Except for minor errors, everything works well. With a few exceptions, we have been coming back here for almost 30 years"
Villa Galijot Plava Laguna
"Hotel surrounded by greenery and overlooking the sea in a splendid and peaceful natural setting. Large and clean rooms although a little dated. What really disappointed was the restaurant: absolutely not up to the standard of a 4-star hotel. Breakfast mainly salty with an absolute lack of pastries. Dinner of mediocre quality and limited hours: officially you can dine until 9 pm but in practice already before 8 pm the dishes are not restocked leaving customers with the "leftovers" of the evening. Drinks are excluded from the half-board package (as is reasonable) but extremely expensive (4.4 euros for 75cl of water). Considering the quantity of Italian tourists and their known attention to catering, it would be appropriate to improve the quality of the dishes."
Marea Suites, Valamar Collection
"I never normally write reviews but Marea Suites deserved a review. An outstanding resort, the food is the best I have ever had at any resort, huge variety that changes every day. The service is again outstanding and all the Marea suites team are genuinely interested to speak with you and are all so happy, a credit to the hotel. I would definitely come back to a Valamar resort again."
Sunny Poreč by Valamar, ex Crystal
"The vacation and stay at the Suny Valamar hotel is commendable. From the staff, who are absolutely professional and kind, to the food that has something for everyone and is of high quality, and what is very important, a lot of local ingredients. The entire hotel complex is for all needs."
Valamar Tamaris Resort
"Location is good, atmosphere perfect , room is not very good- horrible mattress very soft, service and food excellent"
Hotel Plavi Plava Laguna
"only place in Zelena Laguna opening @ 7am, outside bar patio is positioned very well, but unfortunately fool of mosquitoes. otherwise hotel is nice and has a friendly staff mostly. prices are also too high for service provided. if thay put prices down, could be there for next summer."
Rubin Hotel
"The location of the hotel is great. It is close to the city and very convenient. The pool area is nice, and the cemented beach is also quite pleasant. There is a beach bar available, and a pool bar too, although the prices at the pool bar are a bit high. A simple drink at the pool bar costs around 8.2 euros. Renting a chair and parasol on the beach is surprisingly expensive. Around 8 euros, or 7 euros if you are a Valamar guest. That said, the hotel itself feels very old. The rooms and the overall vibe make it clear that not much has been updated in a long time. The carpets are stained, the decor looks straight out of the eighties, and everything just feels outdated. The elevators are another issue. They are painfully slow, and there are only two for a hotel with nine floors and a large number of guests, which leads to long wait times. The rooms give off a budget feel, mostly because of how dated everything is. If you can look past that and are mainly there for the location and beach, then it can still be worth the money. Breakfast was average, nothing special. Lunch was a bit better. However, there are no gluten free options and no clear labeling for allergens in the food, which is something to be aware of if you have dietary restrictions."
Garden Suites Park Plava Laguna
"A beautiful hotel in a fantastic location, exceptionally friendly staff, everything is very clean, and the Garden Suites are spacious and inviting – all in all: TIPTOP :) Thank you very much – we'd love to come back! …………….."
Hotel Delfin Lanterna
"Beware This hotel is NOT what it seems to be. We made a reservation and upon arrival the hotel appears to be located in a large construction site. The hotel is not finished and completely empty and not equipped to receive guests as a hotel should be. All the beautiful photos and stories including reviews are stylized to give a different impression but upon arrival you are shocked. And if you do not want to convert your reservation into a booking, they will immediately debit a full amount for 14 days stay from your credit card, even though according to the conditions you only owe the fee for 1 night. The hotel is run by unreliable people who are only after your money, so beware it cost us a lot of money!"
Valamar Diamant Hotel
"Wonderful location full of lush greenery and close to the sea. I loved the paths and open transitions between different hotels and the beach on a walk to the picturesque old centre of Poreč. Clean rooms, friendly atmosphere, and helpful staff were all accompanied by a tasty food in the kitchen like "from a fairy tale"."
Daria
"The apartment is centrally located and everything is as described. Well suited with children because the proximity to the beach is easy to master on foot, even for small children."
Hotel Park Plava Laguna
"We are about to go home tomorrow and don’t really want to go! The hotel has been fantastic, staff Have been amazing, very friendly in the restaurant and throughout the hotel.. The cleaning has been exemplary! We are a family of six adults and four children (multi generational!) and every room has been amazing. The pool and the sunbeds and the facilities for the children have been very good. The food was excellent, very fresh and always able to find something to eat. The gala dinner on Thursdays was fab and extra drinks (g&t’s) available with your dinner. Would love to return one day soon. Also, had a massage today which was brilliant. Excellent price too. "
