"I am staying here now and I am shocked how inaccurate all negative reviews are , the hotel is gorgeous- great spa with many saunas and pools, fantastic medical procedures, close to shops, restaurants and only 15 minutes walk to the centre. Breakfast is plentiful and the rooms are spacious, with very comfortable beds and cleaned to a very high standard. Direct access to a gorgeous beach- pure heaven! The only slight criticism is , where I agree with some other peoples comments- it would be nice to have a tour desk or at least some info about sightseeing available. Otherwise I truly recommend this hotel for those who want to spend relaxing quality time and improve their health"

"I have stayed for 5 nights for mini vacations with my wife and her sister. The hotel is a very beautiful building in the centre of the town. The rooms are OK, but need a kind of renovation. For a 4-star hotel, it should offer more things in the room, for example slippers for bath. Cleaning of roon was available every day and very early. Polite and helpful staff, but only few of them speak english or german. The free indoor pool and spa (sauna, hamam, etc) is very good. There are many spa treatment packages. The ladies tried every day a kind of medical treatment like aromatotherapy or with mud and I think that they enjoyed it. A problem was that I had to communicate in bulgarian (my level of the language knowledge is low) for the planning of the treatment, as the responsible was speaking only bulgarian and russian! The breakfast was very good and rich, served indoor and outdoor. We have tried once the restaurant and it was also real good. The hotel has an excellent roof garden bar (with jakuzzi!!!), There having a great view to the city and the sea we spent some nights with a drink. Parking in the area is very difficult, but the hotel offers many solutions. The best for me was to book early a parking lot in front of the hotel with 6 euros and my parking was always available, as I returned from daily excursions Generally I was pleased with my stay and if I would visit Pomorje again, I would prefer this hotel."

"We stayed in Penelope Palace, Pomorie for a week in mid June. First impressions were very positive. We were met at the taxi by a porter who took our luggage to reception and then to our room. We were pleasantly surprised that the room/apartment was so spacious. It was immaculately clean and tidy, as was the whole hotel. There was complimentary tea/ Coffee. Breakfast in the dining room was excellent. There was a choice of 8 different breakfasts. All served to us by very polite and helpful waiters/ waitresses. Daniel, in particular, went out of his way to make our wedding anniversary dinner special. The bar staff were also very attentive. I must give Teddy a special mention. The hotel itself was situated straight across the road from a beautiful white, sandy beach. Our only slightly negative point was that the hotel is located slightly out of the way, meaning that it was necessary to get a taxi or bus ( not expensive) to go to the town centre. All in all, we had a brilliant holiday. "

"Great hotel but in the wrong place. We were informed some facilities would not be available as the season was coming to an end.We had a excellent welcome by reception staff given a good good pack as we had arrived late.We were shown to our room within 10 mins of arriving. The room was excellent spotless clean,large comfortable bed and excellent bathroom. The next morning we were surprised but pleased to see we had been upgraded to pool view. The next two days were very enjoyable, weather inclement but good food and excellent company of other guests. Then it all went downhill!!! On the Friday we found out there was a weekend convention taking place. From Friday evening meal to Sunday lunch the Hotel was taken over by a swarm of locusts and a battle for a table commenced. We decided to go out of the Hotel to eat on the Saturday but found nothing was opened. After the convention ended dining facilities got back to normality but the quality and variety of food on offer definitely deteriorated and the Hotel lost its sparkle. Thanks to follow guests we were able to enjoy our last few days but was glad the holiday had come to an end. We grudgingly give this beautiful hotel a3 star rating mainly due the fabulous housekeeping and reception staff. Sorry but wrong hotel in wrong place at wrong time of year."

"We were this hotel one night with my husband and child and I have to say it was the worst hotel I have ever been! Hotel staff was very unfriendly and you have to pay extra if you want to use beach infront of the hotel. Furthermore, after we went home we noticed that there was bedbucks in our clothes so the painfulnes of the trip didn't end to the hotel. Don't go this hotel!!!!"
