"We checked into Degarland hoping for a relaxing and comfortable stay, which is exactly what we got! The room was very clean and comfortable as was the bathroom. The air conditioning worked great and housekeeping came daily. The services (room service, laundry, pool and restaurant) were all excellent making it a really enjoyable time being there from morning to night. The highlight though is the Degarland staff who are all kind, welcoming and helpful. Special thanks to Varun the manager for being really helpful and just a great person to chat with. Our waitress Reshma was also so attentive and lovely throughout our stay. If you want to have a truly relaxing time in palolem definitely stay here!"

"We stayed here for 6 nights over the New Year. We paid a bit more than we would have liked but it was over the holidays. The room was clean and had a balcony and a fridge. The owners were lovely and helped us with any questions we had. No food on site but it didn’t matter as everything was within walking distance. Beach was 100 meters away. Would recommend."

The food and service was also good but the only issue we faced was rude behavior from the guy at the reception. Except for that which turned us off in the beginning, the stay was excellent. "Well my husband and i visited om shantie for the day we had drinks and lunch and sunbeds which are free for everyone ( all beach cafes offer this) No problem. The next day went back with our friends we where met with Unhelpful and rude staff. Telling us not to move umbrellas and just rude. We did only have drinks as we had arrived after lunch. when paying, the manager was very sarcastic telling us he would charge us for the sunbeds in future as we hadnt 'spend enough money during our stay. We where going to leave a trip of 1000 rupees between us as we didnt have any food,but he was so rude he and his staff get nothing so lesson to learn keep your mouth shut and you staff would have had a good tip."

If you don’t mind walking 1 minute, I have to recommend the resort, the price-quality ratio is very good, considering the location - beach front sea view options were fully booked and a lot more expensive! "We stayed 2 nights in d pool room..it was a new experience for us n my kids enjoyed themselves to d fullest in d pool. The sea shore view is good. Eveything was clean but there was a stink in d bathroom n our door lock was broken. No space to hang clothes or keep products in shower area. The breakfast was unsatisfactory, service is too slow, even fruits r cut on order only n they r always out of non veg items. Variety was v less n taste of everything was just ok. Also, u need to order everything in 1 go so u may end up wasting food or go a bit hungry. Music in their restaurant is played really loud so kids will get disturbed till 11pm. D railing around d pool deck is ok for adults but not safe for small children. We were constantly catching our running toddlers on d wet deck scared they might slip out. Mr Samay is v helpful with booking n arranging for tuk tuk (auto). Overall we didn't regret booking d place but really hope they do something about d breakfast service, fresh doesn't mean taking 30mins to give a bowl of fruit. They were kind enough to serve warm milk for our baby everytime we asked n even provided a mattress, pillow n quilt for our small child at no extra charge which we didn't end up using but appreciated d gesture. Would definitely recommend n would like to stay here again."

"I stayed at Tropical Bay from 24th to 27th December, and my experience was absolutely wonderful. From the warm, welcoming vibe to the overall comfort, almost everything about the place exceeded my expectations. I stayed in the dorms, which were surprisingly comfortable, well-maintained, and excellent value for money—perfect for budget travelers. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, making it easy to unwind and enjoy Palolem to the fullest. The only small drawback was the limited availability of charging sockets; ideally, there should be one socket per bed for convenience. Aside from that minor issue, everything else was spot on. Tropical Bay turned out to be the best budget stay I experienced in Palolem, and I would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, affordable, and pleasant place to stay. The place is conveniently located very close to the beach and also near the main road, making it easy to get around while still enjoying a peaceful stay. The staff does an excellent job of keeping the property spotlessly clean every day. Despite the central location, there is no outside noise, which makes it perfect for relaxing. The service is quick, efficient, and very prompt, and the staff is always helpful and attentive."

"we went as a family of 6 and booked 3 cabins. the cabins where big , nearly new and very clean. very chilled out location but 1 one minute walk and you where on the beach. we looked at other cabins ut the ones at rockit where bigger and better location. they also have a cafe on site with a great breakfast. we had a great time and the staff and owner where realy nice people. there are also some nice bars and resturants as you walk onto the beach. "

"I have been visiting this front line beach shack for several years, and I have just returned from another fabulous stay, the management and staff are 2nd to none and nothing is a bother to them, for anyone who hasn't been to the rococo Pelton I can tell you the whole place has had a full renovation including the deluxe family rooms, all garden beach huts, and the 4 up top sea view huts, the place is immaculate, what a transformation, food and drinks very reasonable, location perfect, and the management ( suman) and George the waiter worth their weight in gold, place is amazing, I have stayed in other beach shacks on palolem beach and none come close to this shack now its been renovated, the garden huts are very spacious and all come with Air con as standard, the bathroom area is huge all floor and wall tiled and a smashing huge wet room with a fantastic shower, hot water all the time by the click of a switch, all in all 100% will be returning again and again, well done suman ( boss *** ) and George the waiter for once again giving us a marvellous time."

"An oasis of calm amidst the revelry. After stating in beach huts for 2 weeks this place was a breath of fresh air. It felt like a proper hotel room just off the beach with all mod cons. The staff were AMAZING, The restaurant across the road does room service, very high standard, and the best coffee in Patnem. The place was super clean, no mosquitos. Cant wait to stay there again next time. "

"If your are reading my review please for God sake don't even think to stay at this resort the restaurant service is pathetic, all waiters treats you with disrespect and they give to expired food products and try to scams you with money in all the possible ways, it's better to stay on road then stay here. Even there restaurant Manager Raj doesn't help in this situation, pathetic service. It was us 3 people having hookha and the staff says hookha can be only done by 2 people and not more than 40 minutes. Plus we paid 800 for hookha. And yes they try to manipulate Google reviews. "
