"We drove to this place and was easy to locate. The receptionist was friendly, location was very good for a walk, shop, eat and the nearby river was lovely. We went to see the salmons jump but missed perhaps because it rained. The town is full of friendly people who go out of their way to share and direct you to where you want togo. The breakfast served here is very good - had the best yogurt in the past 20 years. Definitely recommend - Decent price too."

"Pitlochry is very touristy and full of expensive hotels. The Youth Hostel is away from the crowds in a lovely location. We had a private double room, spacious and clean, and we regretted staying only one night. Staff were lovely, breakfast very nice."

Loch Rannoch Highland Club

"Enjoyed a lovely week at Loch Rannoch Highland Club. Weather was perfect every day which allowed us to explore the area and walking on the hills. The local shop in village was well stocked however eating out was very enjoyable at the hotel and other local tea-rooms in the area. The Highland Club has a good range of activities on offer and the pool/spa was most pleasing too. A car is recommended to enjoy the area around but local walks and picnics can be enjoyed too. This was my second visit and hope to visit again in future."

"A very beautiful house and garden located right in Pitlochry. I was car free so it was a bit of a walk to get my cases there but once you’re checked in you can come up from the bottom of the garden which is very handy for exploring the town. The room was large and very comfortable. Breakfast was extremely delicious and Greg was a wonderful host - always checking in to see how to help make my stay more comfortable and helping with local information. I cannot recommend this lovely stay more highly! It was easy to catch the bus to The House of Bruar and to Blair Castle located nearby. Oh and at the bottom of the garden is where Heather Gems -you’ll see in gift shops all over Scotland are made!"
