Hotel Mirna - Terme & Wellness Lifeclass
"We stayed in this hotel for weekend with friends. Rooms are very comfortable and clean and the food is so good it's a shame I couldn't try all of it. The staff there were all nice and very helpful. The good thing is that we could do some shoping even on sunday."
Hotel Palace Portoroz by Minor Hotels
"Nice breakfast. Hotel retains some charm and pre-war grandeur. The pool and saunas are nice, as is the staff. Jackhammering (two diggers) across the street, even Sunday. Beach amenities(about a dozen spots for cabanas/dual beach loungers) not open first two days, then just a “soft open” with no service while many other places had already opened(end of May/start of June). The “beach”location is bit of an exaggeration anyhow, exposed between a busy cafe and a construction site, and across the main boulevard from the hotel. Also charged 5x more in local taxes than what the reservation specified, not a large amount compared to other cities and presumably not the hotel’s doing but info should be more accurate during booking. The rooms are comfortable and as described, if slightly dated."
Hotel Vile Park
"We booked a queen-bed room and travelled as a couple, but unfortunately the room was not properly prepared. Instead of a queen bed, two single beds were pushed together, which was uncomfortable. The room also had an unpleasant smell, the carpet felt quite old, and the view was not appealing. We raised our concerns with customer service, but they were not flexible or helpful in arranging a room change. In addition, the hotel is located far from restaurants, making it difficult to find a place for dinner. Overall, the experience did not meet our expectations."
Depandansa Casa Rosa
"The staff was very kind and helpful. We booked rooms with sea view. Panorama was amazing! Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable. We were staying in 4* Casa Rosa but we can use all the facilities in 5* Metropol hotel. Food was very delicious with wide selection of breakfast and dinner. Parking in the underground garage is 20€ daily. (2024) It s a shame there is no discount for hotel guests."
Barbara Piran Beach Hotel
"We had a lovely one night stay at the Hotel Barbara. We would have liked to stay another night but it was fully booked. Our room, 204, was really nice with a view onto the ocean and a small balcony with two chairs. Our only slightly niggle about the room was there was a 10cm step as you came out of the room which we both tripped up or down many times. The hotel is right on the coast and there are stone areas to sit with plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas. There are steps with railings to get into the sea - it was a lovely place to swim, so much so that we got up at dawn up have another swim before breakfast. Parking is tricky in Piran but we parked in a public area about 5 minutes walk away. We left our car there for two nights and one full day which cost £30. There is a shuttle bus from Hotel Barbara to Hotel Piran in the centre of town which was handy. There is also a beautiful walk on a path around the coast which we did in the day and also at night. It took about 25 minutes and was really lovely. We bathed off the path a few minutes from the hotel when the sun was very high as there was good shade there. The breakfast food and eating area were very nice with a good buffet food. We had a drink at the outdoor bar before leaving which wasn't so great as the music was blaring loud."
Grand Hotel Bernardin
"I stayed in so many hotels in Slovenia, but this is the only hotel that requires a deposit. The hotel facilities are a bit old, but the room is quite big"
Remisens Casa Bel Moretto, Depandansa Hotela Metropol
"We had a great time in this hotel. Rooms are specious and equipped with everything you might need. We had HB and liked the choice of food and enjoyed eating on the terrace with the beautiful view. Reception was very friendly and professional and it was easy to find parking. We will definitely come back."
Hotel Piran
"This hotel was built in 1913. Fantastic location, right next to the sea front. The room with balcony provides a great view. We came in the office season, price was cheaper at around €140, compared to peak season at €300+. Hotel staff is great. Breakfast is decent, compared to many hotels during this trip. They provide shuttle service to bring you to the car park (garage). Piran has a no outside car policy. And the seafood restaurant right next to the hotel is great with very reasonable pricing."
Hotel Lavender - Oleander Resort
"The hotel was OK, but definitely too expensive, even in high season. The rooms were big enough, clean and with a big bed. However, the walls are extremely thin, you can hear almost every noise from the neighboring rooms. The breakfast is only average. The mattress was too soft and the pillows were a disgrace. The location wasn't the best, right next to salt fields, but there was a very nice Italian restaurant within walking distance. For €150/night we definitely expect a better standard, or at least €50 less per night."

Old Town Rooms Piran
"Pleasant stay in a well-maintained property just a 2-minute walk from the city center. Comfortable room with an excellent mattress, which ensured a good night's sleep. Luggage storage available."
Forgotten Garden Apartments and Rooms
"Unfortunately, the air conditioning did not work properly. All room doors had to remain open and it was still warm. No air in the bathroom so it was in the room like a steam bath. Personal was very friendly. The kitchen was super, it was all that you need, parks were also top."
Vila Piranesi Apartments
"The accommodation is very nice, you can see that here was renovated. The reception is very friendly. The accommodation is located directly on the main square. You have to park the car a little outside in a parking garage but there is a shuttle bus or with about 20 minutes walk along the promenade you are also back in the accommodation. The rooms have one bedroom. However, if you use it with 4 people, the sofa in the living room is not too comfortable. For 1-2 nights but to endure"
Remisens Hotel Metropol
"We’ve now stayed at this amazing hotel five times, and every visit has been absolutely flawless. The food is always exceptional – delicious, fresh, and beautifully prepared. The spa and pool offer pure relaxation, and the rooms are spotless, stylish, and incredibly comfortable. The beds deserve a special mention – we always sleep like royalty! Most of all, the staff make us feel truly welcome and cared for every time. Thank you for creating such a special place. We can’t wait to return again!"
Hotel Riviera - Terme & Wellness Lifeclass
"The hotel is nice and it has a great location in Portorož. The staff was also nice and friendly. Breakfast and pool are also ok. Worth the 4* overall. I wasn't fortunate enough to get a room with balcony and ocean view but didn't care much since I spent most of two days at the business conference. But now the --- When I got to the room there were many, many flies. And they were big! I tried to smack them all but in the morning I found out that there were a lot of them still flying around, disturbing my sleep! I didn't even opened the outside door, so they must have been there before. And someone (cleaning staff) should noticed them before me and do something about it. I hope they will clean the mess (you can see at the photo) and call the exterminator."
Grand Hotel Portoroz – Terme & Wellness LifeClass
"Very nice hotel in great location in Portoroz. Booked directly with hotel. Paid € 150/night for room and breakfast. We booked a sea front room. The room was small, like being on a cruise ship. Everything worked well except the internet which was very weak. To get internet I had to open the door to the hallway and get a signal. The room had a balcony which gave us a beautiful view over the bay. The bed was comfortable and pillows were cushy. Breakfast buffet was typical and had everything one could want. A unique feature was barley coffee, which tasted terrible, but must be popular with somebody. This is a convention hotel and there were a group from Belgrade staying there. The hotel has a thermal bath which was the reason to book it. The whole complex is several hotels, we stayed at the Portoroz because it has the thermal bath. The next time I would stay at the Riveria hotel I. The same complex. The Riviera has the salt water heated pool. We found this pool warmer and more airy than the thermal bath. We did not eat dinner at the hotel. We ate across the street at a small family restaurant, the Pompol grill. It was on the harbor, very good grilled fish and very reasonable prices."
Hotel Salinera
"Located at a small bay it’s nicely away from traffic and center of the village. Good for swimming. Nice big pool. Apartments do have everything you need (but not a single item beyond that), kitchen was new, bathroom ok - everything very clean. Buildings, surroundings, central areas in the hotel are old and need to be redone urgently. Service was nice and polite. We didn’t eat there as it was not attractive. Overall too little value for the money."
Bioenergy Resort Salinera Apartments
"Good good"
Hotel Svoboda - Terme Krka
"Beautiful and peaceful spa; spacious saunas and friendly staff. A major drawback is the parking at the Svoboda Hotel; if you're not a hotel guest and only use the spa, the hourly rate is a whopping €3 per hour! So next time, we'll go to the parking lot before the climb (€0.50 per hour)."
Hotel Histrion
"Very good accomodation for business trip"
Hotel Oleander - Oleander Resort
"The hotel's facilities are a bit old, the sound insulation is not very good, but the staff service is still very good, very warm, very comfortable"
Art Hotel Tartini
"The location is great, and the breakfast is average."
Apartments Vila Barka
Guest House PachaMama
"A very nice hotel, centrally situated close to the square in Piran. The room was pretty small but the standard high. Although it would be even better if the possibilities to unpack improved. We really appreciated that we could make our own meals when we preferred that and the secret garden was a pleasant place to enjoy whatever meal one prepared. Or perhaps simply a glass of wine. The staff was very friendly and helpful and always made you feel welcome."
