Hotel Piran
"Super efficient check in service, the two girls at reception were brilliant. There is a no car restriction in the village and the girls got us to the parking area and had a free shuttle waiting there for us. Absolutely brilliant Thanks."
Rooms Koblar
"Rooms Koblar has been recently renovated and is really up to modern standards at a very reasonable price. It has all the comforts you might want: large screen tv, refrigerator in room, wifi, air-conditioning and heating, parking right in front of the room.Check in is automated, and 24 hours available. On the grounds there is a large terrace with furniture where you can spend an enjoyable evening with a glass of wine. ( This you need to buy nearby and bring along.) Downtown Portoroz is within walking distance and Piran is s short drive from here. Breakfast is not served, but there are various cafes nearby. The owner is very friendly and helpful."
Grand Hotel Bernardin
"I stayed in so many hotels in Slovenia, but this is the only hotel that requires a deposit. The hotel facilities are a bit old, but the room is quite big"
Hotel Mirna - Terme & Wellness Lifeclass
"We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Mirna in Slovenia! The hotel is beautiful and modern, and our room was spacious, clean, and had a large terrace. Housekeeping came every day and towels were changed daily. Breakfast was delicious with a great variety at the buffet. Dinners, served at Hotel Riviera, were also buffet-style and absolutely excellent — with plenty of options including fish, fruit, and desserts. The thermal pools were fantastic, and we really enjoyed the nearby beaches even without sunbeds or umbrellas. Thank you for an amazing holiday!"
Wellness Hotel Apollo – Terme & Wellness LifeClass
"Splendid view of the sea 🌊 and the attic room is fantastic 🌊 clean and comfortable, the staff is kind and welcoming, you can access the spa center with swimming pool and saunas directly via the corridor 🧖♀️ the breakfast buffet is a spectacle. I certainly recommend this hotel 🔝"
Remisens Hotel Lucija
"new renovation was lovely, comfortable beds and nice room. the breakfast had a good selection. very clean and a nice shower."
Hotel Palace Portoroz by Minor Hotels
"AC doesn’t work - at 11pm they offered to move us to another room. We were unpacked and needed to get up at 6am. No one was available to try to fix the problem. Second offered solution was to open the balcony doors. That worked (in May ) for the temperature but we had 7 hours of no / fitful sleep with the street noise. What do they do in August when it is 90 outside??!! Stay elsewhere Perhaps there are reasons why Kempinski yanked their association with this hotel"
Hotel Vile Park
"The hotel is located in a beautiful spot, right by the sea. The hotel itself is quite old and could use some renovation, but most importantly, it's clean. Despite free parking, it was difficult to find a space. Breakfast and access to the heated indoor saltwater pools are included in the price. Both are available at the neighboring Histrion Hotel."
Boutique Hotel Portorose
"Positive points: Nice pool, friendly staff, rooms OK, and extensive (standard) breakfast buffet. Negative points: Limited number of parking spaces, with extra costs (120 euros for five nights), in a very cramped parking garage. The hotel itself lacks character; not a boutique hotel despite the name. The hotel safe in our room was broken. Therefore, too expensive in terms of price/quality."

Hotel Lavender - Oleander Resort
"The hotel was OK, but definitely too expensive, even in high season. The rooms were big enough, clean and with a big bed. However, the walls are extremely thin, you can hear almost every noise from the neighboring rooms. The breakfast is only average. The mattress was too soft and the pillows were a disgrace. The location wasn't the best, right next to salt fields, but there was a very nice Italian restaurant within walking distance. For €150/night we definitely expect a better standard, or at least €50 less per night."
Forgotten Garden Apartments and Rooms
"Unfortunately, the air conditioning did not work properly. All room doors had to remain open and it was still warm. No air in the bathroom so it was in the room like a steam bath. Personal was very friendly. The kitchen was super, it was all that you need, parks were also top."
Vila Piranesi Apartments
"This is a functional, basic place in a lovely location. Although it is fun to be in a historic building right in the old town, there are downsides: no elevator, funky smells, no parking. You have to drop your luggage and drag it upstairs, then drive up the hill to the parking garage, search for the shuttle and finally get back to the hotel. It is a bit of an ordeal. Departure is no fun either. May be worth it for some, but we probably wouldn’t do it again if we get back to this area. There are a couple other options that are just a bit more expensive and seem more comfortable, including a VIP shuttle from the garage so that you don’t have to do the bag drag."
Walls of Piran Apartments and Rooms
"Great view of Piran from the resorts !"
Remisens Hotel Metropol
"We stayed at the Casa Rosa annex. The maintenance is really poor in the room, the walls were dirty and scraped, there were spiderwebs. The bathtub with shower really dangerous as it has a 60 cm step to get into it. The location of the hotel is beautiful, but the services would need more care especially the pools and the outdoor pool on the beach has a 3 star service not 5 as expected, very annoying. The restaurant offers a lot of food but again it’s not at all a 5 star level. The quality is medium poor. The drinks are all upon payment. There is no dress code for the restaurant which is very disappointing for a 5 star level. It’s very annoying seeing people wearing shorts and flip flops without the minimum care or decency for a dinner at the hotel."
Hotel Riviera - Terme & Wellness Lifeclass
"New renovated, top location. It has two larger (indoor) swimming pool complexes, one is next to the hotel + saunas, and one is connected by corridors."
Bioenergy Resort Salinera Hotel
"Nice hotel with good location and excellent breakfast but the staff is very rude . They asked me 60 euros for a mini fridge and lost all the food products that I had bought as souvenirs."
Apartments Vila Barka
Bioenergy Resort Salinera Apartments
"When I entered the reserved accommodation, it wasn't cleaned at all and there wasn't enough bedding. I was thankful that I raised the issue and upgraded my room. However, when checking out, I had to request and pay the city tax of 14 euros instead of 10 euros suggested on the reservation voucher. Angry."
Hotel Svoboda - Terme Krka
"Beautiful and peaceful spa; spacious saunas and friendly staff. A major drawback is the parking at the Svoboda Hotel; if you're not a hotel guest and only use the spa, the hourly rate is a whopping €3 per hour! So next time, we'll go to the parking lot before the climb (€0.50 per hour)."
Hotel Histrion
"A very large, modernly renovated hotel with all the advantages and disadvantages of nearly 300 rooms: many tour groups, a lot of activity in the dining areas with a corresponding noise level, breakfast and dinner served in two shifts. The room was nicely and functionally furnished with a balcony and direct sea view. Excellent location within walking distance of Piran or Portorož. Free parking. Very good breakfast selection."
Depandansa Casa Rosa
"located at small town with lovely people and not too crowded, this hotel offers everything you need for a vacation. Great hotel with excellent food. The rooms are nice and clean. The view from our room was magical. Pools are great, but the best part of this trip was food at hotel!"
Guest House PachaMama
"A very nice hotel, centrally situated close to the square in Piran. The room was pretty small but the standard high. Although it would be even better if the possibilities to unpack improved. We really appreciated that we could make our own meals when we preferred that and the secret garden was a pleasant place to enjoy whatever meal one prepared. Or perhaps simply a glass of wine. The staff was very friendly and helpful and always made you feel welcome."
Hotel Oleander - Oleander Resort
"The hotel's facilities are a bit old, the sound insulation is not very good, but the staff service is still very good, very warm, very comfortable"
Hotel Salinera
"We stayed 5 nights in a recent renovated appartment and had a lovely stay. The appartment was big, with a livingroom of good size with an open kitchen and big fridge. Big terrace with a nice view on the nature park of Strunjan and the saltfields. Modern bathroom and 1 bedroom. It was very clean and tastefull decorated. Airco worked very good and wifi too was good. The hotel has a large garden with swimmingpool. For towels, parasols and loungers, you have to pay extra. The same for the beach. Location is excellent for visiting the coast region. You are at the sea and from the beach, there is a nice view at Piran and you can see nice sunsets. There is no supermarket near the hotel, but the buffet diner is well priced and offers everything you need, 2 sorts of soup, a lot of vegetables and salads, choice of different fish and meat plates, a lot of different fruits, ice, sweet desserts and so on. It is nice to eat on the terrace with garden view. People working at the hotel are very kindly. If you like walking, there are some very nice roundwalks in the coast region that are good indicated and easy to follow. For public transport, the busstop of Strunjan is about 1 km from the hotel, a short walk along the sea."
Hostel Panorama Portorož
"Very simple but correct. Very friendly staff, the receptionist loves person. Beautiful views. Room lacking air conditioning and the kitchen is shared. Right breakfast . A little complicated to arrive at night, has parking and is free. The hotel was very comfortable and was very surprising."
