RED Lantern Hall

We had a very comfortable stay and everything was perfect, down to the toilet paper. 😃 The inn was right beside the Main Street and it made exploring really easy. Would really recommend to stay here to make your holiday in ping Yao a better one.

I only stayed one night at Red Lantern Hall, but the experience was truly unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel genuinely welcome with their warm and thoughtful service. The guesthouse itself is full of character—rich in traditional charm with beautifully preserved architecture from the Ming and Qing dynasties. At the same time, the interior is clean, modern, and well-equipped, striking a perfect balance between old-world atmosphere and contemporary comfort. The location is ideal—right in the center of the ancient town, allowing me to easily explore all the nearby historical sites on foot. It’s a perfect place for first-time visitors who want both convenience and a deep sense of local culture. I was genuinely impressed by the quality of both service and setting, and I will definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit Pingyao. Highly recommended!

Great central location, staff we so helpful and friendly, picked us up and dropped off at train station! Honestly couldn’t have asked for anymore. Will definitely stay again if ever return to Pingyao.

We had a very pleasant stay. The owners family and the staff are very friendly and trying everything to have a good stay. The hotel is nearby the main tourist streets but located in a quiet street. The rooms and the bath is very nice. There is an anti mosquito net in the windows so that you can open the window during the night and do not need ventilation. There breakfast is chinese and freshly cooked.
