Hotel Caravelas ★★★★
"Receptionists were very friendly and helpful! Ana helped a lot!"
Azores Youth Hostels - Pico ★★
"The staff of the hostel were so friendly and helpful. They were informative. The building itself has had history before. Staff provided good suggestions for my travel plan. If the hostel has a kitchen, it will be perfect. If I travel Pico again , I must stay here again"
Porto Velho Boutique Hostel ★★
"I felt very welcome at the hotel. The team was attentive, the room was cozy, and the whole place had a warm and relaxing atmosphere that made my stay truly enjoyable."
Pico Dreams ★★★
"Pico dreams really is a dream. The photos on websites do not convey the beauty of the place. We were in room 16, super new, clean and decorated with taste, it felt like staying in a 5 star resort surrounded by lush greenery. The owners are really sweet and ever ready to help. The place is in a very quiet and relaxing area but within walking distance from Piscinas naturais and a couple of very good restaurants. If it offered breakfast it would be even more amazing, but in any case this is not a problem as they provide beautiful shared kitchens and very near the place is a mini market. Thank you for this unforgettable stay, the best on the Azores so far!"
Pico Terramar & Spa ★★★★
Aldeia Dos Caldeiroes ★★★
AL NOVAVISTA ★★★
"I was a little disappointed that this is not, in fact, a hotel. I think I might have been the only person staying there, I didn't see anyone else except for about 2 seconds in the breakfast room. The only contact I had was by email, and all the instructions were only sent the morning I was traveling, so I didn't receive them until I got to Pico. The room was comfortable enough and very clean. But lots of things are dated. The internet was non-existent. The air conditioner and bathroom fan were both ancient and made a lot of noise. The breakfast was only meh, but the view from the breakfast room was lovely. The location is good, close to town and in a quiet area. I didn't spend much time at the hotel and it was too cold for a swim, but I imagine that would be great when the weather is warmer as the pool also has an amazing view. It's worth it for the price."
35th Atlantic View ★★★
"Really this is a 3.5* review. This is a good choice that has the potential to be great. The owners need to figure out what they want this place to be and plan accordingly. The area is really nice. It's out of the way without being too remote. There is an easy to use parking area just off the road. We had a second floor sea view room. The room itself was nice. There were however some flaws. There was little ventilation with the doors closed. Also, when it rained, water seemed to leak in through every door and window, making it impossible to feel dry. My number one complaint is that there was no fridge in the room. Pico makes some of the best white wines in the world, and to have a balcony with an ocean view makes sipping wine the most natural pastime. The fact that there's nowhere to chill wine is inexplicable. I can understand not wanting to promote a party atmosphere, but I consider access to a fridge to be a basic requirement. The breakfast was fine, but bordered on basic. Perhaps another fresh element would elevate it. There are some fine restaurants nearby and a good grocery store only five minutes drive away. Truthfully, I would stay here again, but I think the owners are missing a golden opportunity to create something sensational."
Aldeia Das Adegas ★★★★
"It was great to come “home” to our very spacious 2 bedroom cottage after a day of activities. It’s in a nice quiet area (about a 25 minute drive from Madalena). Breakfast daily is fresh bread, cheese, granola, juice and fruit (e.g., melon, kiwi, oranges), brought to the cottage by the hosts. Full kitchen. Washing machine in the unit. Must hang stuff to dry. There is a hot tub on site that I’d describe as a warm tub. Only reason not to stay here is if you want to be closer to Madalena."

A Casa do Ouvidor
"The accommodation was even more beautiful than on the photos. Nicely equipped, clean house, with a pool and a stunning view! The host was very helpful and kind. The perfect place for a quiet holiday on the Azores - only a walk away from the natural pool by the sea."
Pocinhobay
"A ten out of ten. Such a unique spot on the island of Pico! Each room feels like it is on its own. Lots of places to relax on the property. They don’t serve dinner but it is not a problem as town is a beautiful walk away. Will definitely return. And definitely come to Pico if you are coming to the Azores."
Ocean View Pico
My Bed in Pico
"We had 2 nights at My Bed in Pico. The hostess, Deborah, was a delight - we were able to drop our bags off early, were upgraded to a larger room, had a personalised check in and good communication throughout. The location is very central, just a 5 minute walk to the harbour for the ferry to Faial. Great food choices nearby and we were able to hire electric bikes in the town."
Casa do Comendador
Adegas do Pico
"My family and I stayed at Adegas do Porto for two nights this August, and were excited about the chance to stay at such a charming, authentic home in the heart of Pico. The house had the basics and necessities needed for our stay, and the staff were readily available by phone or email. A welcome basket of local bread, jam, coffee and tea was prepared and set out on the table for our arrival. This, however, was the extent of the positive experiences we had at Adegas do Porto. Soon after arriving, we began to notice bugs covering the walls of the bedrooms downstairs. One room, had over 10 spiders on the ceiling, and the other had multiple house centipedes running across the walls, into the floor, and even onto the bed. We also noticed that the en-suite bathroom toilet appeared to be leaking. When wiping up some of the water, we were shocked to find a lizard in the trash bin. The lizards were also in the walls of the kitchen, and a bat flew into the outside stone of the house while we were on the patio. The final issue before reaching out to the host was the fact that none of the outlets in the bedrooms were working... An email was sent to inform the host of these issues, to which the response was: "Thank you so much for your email and information! It was a pleasure to welcome you and we look forward to your next visit 😊 Have a nice evening." We do understand that this is an authentic lava home within the wild nature of the Azores, however, did not appreciate the toilet paper stuffed between the bottom edges of the wall and the floorboards, signaling that the host was well-aware of the issue prior to us reaching out. Suffice it to say, we did not sleep well during the two nights we spent here."
