JW Marriott Hotels in Phuket

This is about the 4th or 5th time for us at the hotel over the years. The hotel has stayed the same but thanks to good maintenance there is not much wear and tear. The weather was rainy and during a storm the power of the whole area was out for a few hours. The hotel quickly sent us a letter of apology and offered some snacks. To us it's a great detailed service even though the outage wasn't their fault. We had some great food and drinks in various restaurants dotted around the property. We don't really need to go to other locations, eg a nearby ”village” for meals. They opened 2 restaurants during weekends for breakfast which is great for diverting peak hour traffic. But they kept only one open during weekdays, regardless of the actual number of guests staying at the hotel at the time. This basic lapse in real time management caused mayhem. Kids running amok and receptionists mobbed by agitated heads of large families. Despite this, the staff showed patience, efficiency and professionalism which is commendable.
