Outrigger Surin Beach Resort Reviews

This is the second time I have stayed in this hotel. The check-in experience in July 2023 is much better than this one. The housekeeper had a good attitude that time, and the breakfast was pleasant. The last time the front desk took the initiative to tell me that I could use the hotel app to communicate with the hotel, but this time the front desk did not mention the app to me. The second very unpleasant thing happened at breakfast time. I ordered an omelet and Eggs Florentine, which was made by the lady in the kitchen. There were three chefs in the kitchen, one of whom was a middle-aged woman. But what was brought to my table was not what I wanted at all. There are no onions, tomatoes, cheese, nothing in the Omelet! And the fried eggs are very hard, it's not Omelet at all! Eggs Florentine actually pushed the egg directly on a big square toast! It's too rough! The experience of this breakfast was very unpleasant! There is a feeling of being ignored and deceived!

This hotel is nestled away in Surin bay about a 2 minutes walk from the beach. The room was comfortable and spacious and we felt very at home there. There are 2 public pools which we did visit though we spent much of our time in the private room pool. The gym was also good; basic but met our needs. Breakfast was amazing and we were spoilt for choice. The Thai ice teas we had every morning were excellent and a must try. Finally the staff offered an exceptional level of hospitality. They were friendly and always greeted us with a smile. They were supportive of our needs and requests and were very professional. This is a 5star hotel and worth every penny.

My room was clean, modern, and comfortable, with a balcony that added a touch of luxury. The pool area was a quiet oasis, perfect for unwinding after a beach stroll. What makes this resort especially convenient is its proximity to local shops and restaurants—all within walking distance. You can grab a bite or do a bit of shopping without needing a taxi. Despite being so close to everything, the resort maintains a calm, intimate vibe. Overall, Outrigger Surin Beach Resort is a hidden gem for travelers seeking tranquility without sacrificing convenience. I highly recommend it for couples, solo travelers, or anyone wanting to experience the more relaxed side of Phuket.

We stayed in the Plunge Pool room at Outrigger Surin and loved it. The room was cozy and modern, and having our own private pool was such a bonus—perfect for a quick dip any time of day. It felt peaceful and private, which made it super relaxing. The bed was comfy, the AC worked well, and the overall vibe of the resort was laid-back. Great spot for a quiet escape, just a short walk to Surin Beach too. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is starting to show its age, and the rooms are not soundproof at all – you can hear everyone walking by. It feels more like a 4-star hotel rather than a 5-star. On the bright side, the location is great, just a short walk from Surin Beach. The security guard was very friendly and welcoming, which added a nice touch to the stay.

The staff were always friendly, warm, and attentive, making the holiday atmosphere even more enjoyable. Every request was handled promptly and with care. We truly loved our stay here.

The service from check in to check out was smooth & the staff went above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Special mention to Golf who made a lone single female traveller feel safe with his warm service. The room’s for a single person and is immaculate. The pool’s pretty. I did my yoga practice there. The beach is just across the road & the security stopped traffic to help me cross! Amazing! Surin beach’s not that long but is wide, abt 1km long but it’s flat and smooth, great for beach walks, clean waters if you wanna swim & sunset watching, stunning. Stalls line the road along the beach and they put out tables & chairs. Relaxing to eat there, good cheap Thai food. Outrigger’s highly recommended, location, service, room…everything was great.

Great resort with friendly and pleasant staff along with good amenities! 3 mins walk to the beach but the waves were too strong so didn’t spend as much time there!

Fantastic breakfast, great service. Could have had better toilet roll. Great breakfast. Need better curtains to block the light from the windows.

Absolutely impressed with the hospitality team. I am not easy to please as I review hotels for the last 10 years and this hotel is great value for money. Our flight landed early and I did not expect our rooms to be ready and they were. We paid more for the room of our choice and got an upgrade which was a nice surprise. The spa is excellent that we had massages upon arrival and before leaving Phuket. Breakfast is a small but decent spread with basics of western and Thai dishes. The restaurant is seriously underrated. Our friends had lunch there and took us back for dinner and the oysters, ceviche, BBQ pork were delicious. The team speaks English and are very polite and helpful. Full disclosure: Would love the pillows to be a little more sturdy as we melted into it but they were so nice to give us another. The beach is just across the hotel but it's not connected.
