"The front desk can speak some English and provides service patiently"

"We stayed here for one night in February 2024. This is a large / posh bungalow converted to a hotel. There are only about 4 or 5 rooms. David (the owner) was a great host. He was there to receive us when we arrived and showed us around. The bungalow is very well maintained and is squeaky clean (which includes room/bathroom and the common area). The room was very comfortable and the place was quiet at night. The room had all the amenities. On the minus side, there aren't any restaurants close by. But David usually drives the guests to the city centre for dinner and we had a good Indian meal, thanks to his recommendation. Our bathroom was tiny. Other than that, this was a pleasant stay. David also arranges good tours in the local region. If all this isn't enough, David speaks excellent English, French, Dutch, Flemish, Spanish and Italian."

"Reading other reviews I am not sure what people expect sometimes . This is an old, dated 2 star hotel . It doesn’t claim to be anything other than that . The rooms were basic but comfortable. The bathrooms were dated but clean and functional. Breakfast was simple but plentiful . Dinner was the same . If you are going to the Plain of Jars then stay here"
