Seafront Apartments Petrovac
"The beautiful location, everything in step-to-step access After arrival was a little dirty in the apartments."
Monte Casa Spa & Wellness
"This was the fourth and final hotel that we stayed at during our Jules Verne ‘Montenegro Explorer’ tour, and we stayed there for 3 nights. It’s at the west end of Petrovac, just behind the front row of restaurants. When you arrive, the lobby area gives a good impression – it is spacious and cool, which was very much appreciated when we arrived after a long day of travelling. Check in was swift and we were delighted to find that we had been allocated to room 203, which was on the same level as the reception and had a pool and partial sea view. The décor of the room was rather outdated, but this was offset by a good amount of storage space plus a balcony. It was warm, but not too hot, on our first evening, so we left the balcony door open rather than using the air conditioning. The following morning, we awoke to find that the room was incredibly bright and hot due to its east-facing aspect and lack of blackout curtains. Luckily, we had planned to be out for most of the day, as it was far too hot to stay in the room (and we usually like the heat). When we returned later in the day, we assumed it would be much cooler – but it wasn’t. We tried to use the air-conditioning to cool things down, only to find that it barely worked. We had the same temperature issues for the rest of our stay and only managed to deal with them by staying out of the room in the morning and keeping the balcony door open overnight (which then meant we were subject to noise from the local restaurants and bars). We were also subject to noise from a kids party in the indoor swimming pool, which appears to be hired out for local parties. We didn’t make use of the outdoor swimming pool, as we were generally out during the day, but one of our group went for a swim and said it was freezing. The pool itself is not very big and there were only 10 sunbeds available with no pool umbrellas, so we weren’t sad that we ended up being too busy to try and use it. On a more positive note, we really enjoyed the breakfast buffet which had a lot of choice. Petrovac is a lovely place to visit but, while I wouldn’t be unhappy about staying at the Monte Casa again, I think there are probably better hotel choices in the area."
Hotel Harmony by Aycon
"This is a lovely, smallish hotel, set on a quiet road, a 5 minute stroll to the beach etc in Petrovac. The room was serviced efficiently every day. The buffet breakfast provided a large choice, changing every morning. The staff were excellent, especially the young lady on reception, who was friendly and helpful and the waiter who was always ready to serve us drinks at the pool ( remembering our order from day to day!) The smallish pool was rarely crowded and we always managed to get sunloungers on our regular pool mornings. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars relates to the owners plus their friends and family. They tended to be surly and non communicative , which was awkward as they lived at the top of the building. A couple of days they even instructed the staff to reserve 4 of the 12 sunloungers, even though guests were instructed not to!! However, this apart, Harmony is a lovely, beautifully maintained hotel and it certainly gets our recommendation."
Hotel Eleven
"A modern, small hotel within walking distance of two beaches, cafes, and supermarkets. There's an underground garage and a small parking lot next to the hotel, convenient if you have a car. Housekeeping was impeccable, clean, and they chose a time when we weren't there. Breakfasts were plentiful and delicious, and the chef tried to vary the menu. We didn't have dinner at the hotel. The view from the window was somewhat spoiled by an unfinished construction site to the left. The pool is small but deep. Please note that rooms are counted as triples, even though two people are staying and you pay for a third breakfast. When I asked, they didn't recalculate this."
Guest House Medin
"Clean apartments with everything necessary. To the shop, beach and restaurants are very close. The rooms are very quiet and quiet."
Hotel Riva by Aycon
"The hotel is classical, clean, and perfectly situated on the sea in Petrovac, an ancient Roman town with ruins and street names from nearly 2000 years ago. The breakfast ordered on menu, not from the hotel guest buffet, was the best I had yet in Montenegro. Fluffy fresh eggs on rustic homemade bread topped with sun-dried tomatoes and a drizzle of olive oil. With a Deutsch and two homemade Rakija I enjoyed while sitting seaside on a warm Spring morning in May, it was heaven on the Earth. The hotel is fairly priced for in-season luxury at $110 per night for a sea view room, and my breakfast with two Rakija and a Deutsch (Montenegrin for a cappuccino) cost under €20 plus €2 for a tip to the local waiter who gave perfect, professional service"
Apartments Del Mar
"Terrible. Do not listen to reviews. Website indicates its an apartment in a hotel. This is not a hotel. On arrival we were told it hasn't been a hotel for many years but we showed the website and they said its not updated and shrugged. There is masking tape on the door to cover the hotel sign and the whole vibe downstairs seems rundown. The apartment suite had a broken plug socket. Unclean shelves in the bathroom. 1 broken shelf in bathroom. Dust on bed frame. Sofa bed with marks, scuffs, dirt and cigarette burn. The blinds were broken at the patio door. Dingy light. The whole trip felt like a nightmare."
