Pet friendly Hotels Province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife

First visit to a Hard Rock Hotel and it met my expectations. Hotel is in a small resort, which we were aware of so we had a hired car for the duration of our stay allowing us to visit bigger resorts as and whenever we wanted. Had to pay €12 per day to use hotel car park. We usually stay in 5* at Playa Del Duque and have never had to pay to park. HRH is a money spinner, we were half board and found drinks were expensive. Lunch at Constant Grind also expensive albeit really great quality. Lots of entertainment throughout the day and evening, some better than others. Room was great - we were in a gold suite and can’t really fault it. Breakfast and dinner in the buffet was manic! Very very busy and like a school canteen, food was generally of good quality, however in the evening it wasn’t a relaxing and enjoyable experience. It was a case of eat and leave as soon as possible. Would I return? Probably not, however it seems lots of guests were returning customers.

My Mum and I stayed at the Ritz-Carlton for 4 nights as part of her birthday celebration and it was perfect! The rooms are so comfortable and the bedding is sublime! The team who work there are so fantastic - nothing is too much trouble and ever so helpful. There are beautiful towels by the pool which don’t slip down and you get two as standard so not everything is wet when you get out! There is even suncream at the pool so you don’t have to bring your own! Wifi is brilliant throughout the hotel. Cocktails are beautiful, about 17-18 euros each but worth every penny! Absolutely delicious. My only criticism was the lack of food choices in the hotel by the pool - not a huge amount to choose from, very fish based (I don’t eat fish) and the service was a little slow for drinks but that could be the time of year. But there was fabulous popcorn cones and fruit kebabs which were shared in the morning which was great. When planning you’re trip, just be aware that there is nothing around without a taxi from this hotel - there’s some lovely local places nearby but you will need to get in a taxi. The beach area is incredibly well set up - the little train takes you there, there’s a full bar and restaurant, toilets, suncream and sun loungers. Overall it was a brilliant stay and would recommend the hotel for sure - would be even better once the refurbishments are done and there are a few more pools and the restaurant with a view is open again! Our airline cancelled our flight from Tenerife South Airport at the last minute, and rerouted us via the North airport the next day and we had to very quickly book our own accommodation for the night. Booked through Bookings.com pretty much based on proximity to the airport as we had a very early flight the next day. After all the stress of the day the reception staff were lovely and welcoming. Our room was massive and well equipped. We eat at the hotel and it was good and also very reasonable. Due to the early flight and the clocks going forward we were a little anxious that we would set our alarms incorrectly or they wouldn’t update overnight. The night receptionist said he would do a walk up call for us and also would have a grab bag for breakfast waiting for us, as well as organising a taxi. The call happened and the breakfast bag was waiting for us with the Taxi. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and made what was a very stressful time very pleasant, thank you.

The Location is Great, the rooms are Clean and the service is very friendly and super nice (they let us in the room earlier) I would totally recommend it 😄 Great View from the rooms. Nice TV Channels in a Lot of languages. Only thing that could be better are the opening times of the Pool 😂😂

Absolutely amazing. The architecture was beautiful and modern with exotic plants and open spaces. Staff were very friendly and welcoming when we arrived. Large swimming pool with bridges to lead to an island in the middle of the pool (very deep!). Rooms were clean and well appointed - enormous bed but made it feel a bit cramped. Entertainment was provided by singers performing every night (til 11pm so hard to sleep before then if room above). Nice child’s room with a trampoline, table football and air hockey. Upgraded to the preferred club option which gives access to a lounge with free drinks and snacks from 1.30-7pm which we used instead of lunch! Good breakfast buffet. Only used the evening buffet once, was reasonable but not amazing. Some of the other onsite restaurants didn’t appear to have been open all week. The position was outstanding as many good restaurants were nearby and beaches with water sports only down the road. 10/10 would definitely recommend and visit again!

We arrived late night at hotel, it took us a little longer for check-in since the receptionist was going somewhere for taking care of the other guests. Once we arrived the room, I was surprised by how big the room was and it has everything. A small kitchen in the corner with electric stove, a little sofa bed, a crib - because we had this trip with our baby, and the bathroom was pretty large also. Only one thing that I missed - I hope one day they will have bidè then it will be just perfect 🤩 but overall, it was perfect

This has been the most disappointing holiday I have ever had. Please read on, but if you want my quick summary: This hotel is good in some ways, but the price is grossly wrong for the level of service it is delivering. It is a hotel of days gone by, but it has kept its outrageously high prices, and fails to deliver at almost every turn. I have stayed in hotels 1/4 the price and had better service and experience. This hotel is the definition of all fur coat and ... well you get it. We paid over £8000 GBP for 4 adults for just 6 nights stay, and this only included breakfast. This also was in the off-season of October. Overcharged on arrival: The hotel charged me twice, resulting in £140 in unnecessary bank fees. Although refunded, this mistake shouldn't have happened. Dead flowers: Wilted flowers were left all over the hotel. Unsafe conditions: Plug sockets were hanging off the walls. Filthy environment: The floors and corridors were dirty, and the grout looked like it hadn't been cleaned in decades. Plumbing issues: My parents' room smelled of sewage due to faulty plumbing throughout the stay. Flooded bathroom: My grandmother's shower basin was blocked with someone else's hair, causing flooding. Inaccessible for elderly: The hotel’s layout made it almost impossible for our 85-year-old grandmother to move around, contrary to what the photos suggest. Exorbitant fees: After paying over £8,000 for 6 nights, we were still charged £20 per person to play pitch and putt on the hotel's own grounds. Unhygienic breakfast: Dirty cups were used at breakfast. Shower hygiene: Previous guests' hair remained in my shower basin for the first three days. Poor poolside facilities: Towels at the pool were often ripped and frayed, yet still in use. Unsafe lifts: My mother nearly broke her arm tripping due to unsecured mats inside the lift. Inconvenient lift service: One lift was out of order, and we were told to just walk to another, without any assistance or apology. Not a 5* attitude. Not even a sign on the door to apologise for inconvenience. Waiting for lift for my elderly grandmother to be able to get down to breakfast at 9am was a nightmare. The reception just didn't care. Poor hygeine around pool: Soap dispensers appear to never have been cleaned in years. Unclean exercise area: The decking for morning stretching was covered in bird droppings that had clearly not been cleaned for months. Inadequate room service: Ordered a pasta arrabiata, which arrived as overcooked pasta with barely any sauce—a complete embarrassment. Absurd poolside restrictions: Denied food by the pool without wearing trousers, then told we had to order snacks 24 hours in advance. No basic options like crisps or fruit were available, despite charging €190 for a massage. If this hotel had of cost half the price, we would have probably overlooked these issues, but throughout the holiday we noticed more and more problems and we just feel totally ripped off. This 6 day trip was not worth

Not bad, although there were a few twists and turns, but the platform solved it! The scenery of the hotel is really good and beautiful. Two people can visit Yongchi Lake and the breakfast is better. British elderly people prefer this place when traveling!
