"I hadn't been to Peniche before. Decided to stay at the Star Inn and really glad that I did. Very helpful staff and location is right next to a lovely sandy beach. The breakfast was really good as was the buffet dinner which was reasonably priced with a wide choice of food available. There's also an excellent Surf School and equipment rentals - Special Surf 78 located in the hotel lobby. I'll stay here again the next time I'm in Peniche. It's a very nice hotel for a family stay and for solo travellers. I'd definitely recommend it!"

"A hotel thought out in detail! In addition to the interior design being truly unique and tasteful, everything in this hotel was thought through before being executed. An example of this are water distribution machines, which in addition to cold and natural water, have hot water! something very useful for those traveling with small children or simply wanting to enjoy tea at any time. The rooms are also thought out in detail: the bunk beds are brilliant, they have an electricity connection, light and even a kind of bag to store personal items! The living room is also very well equipped: ping-pong, snooker, darts and an Arcade machine, all at no extra cost to guests! A brilliant hotel with an equally brilliant human population: at reception we were very well received and later when we asked for information about dinner, the recommendations were excellent! At breakfast, our requests for extra bacon and a boiled egg were immediately fulfilled with the best of wishes on the part of the person who was there at the time. There should be more hotels like this! Congratulations"

"Stayed in a cabin for four in August. Very tired decor inside (and around campsite). Air conditioning not working properly, only three plates for a 4 bed cabin and bulb not working in bedroom. Raised with reception but nothing happened despite 2/3 could have been fixed in 5 mins. Lots of better options in the area so recommend to avoid and book elsewhere."

"We had a medical emergency and had to leave the hotel to go to the hospital on the second day of our stay, even though we had booked a total of five nights. We explained the situation to the front desk, and after sending several emails to the hotel and even a Facebook message, we are very disappointed that the hotel hasn't responded at all, despite sending medical certificates as instructed by the front desk staff. We hope for more empathy and professionalism in this situation and that they would have at least responded to the emails as their guests and offered some alternative to recover those days, either through a cash payment or a voucher redeemable within a reasonable timeframe."
