"Thankfully we only stayed one night in this place on a road trip through Spain and France. When we arrived it was immediately noticeable that there was a damp smell in the whole hotel. I have previously had allergy problems in moldy conditions and the next morning waking up I was sick with a runny nose, irritation of the eyes and impaired breathing. In other words this hotel is - in my opinion - a health hazard because of mold. On top of this the breakfast is the least appealing I have ever seen in a hotel with mostly factory made cakes and other ultra processed foods. I would not recommend staying here in any way, shape or form."

"This was a very pleasant surprise. The double room I booked with a special weekend rate of 45 euros per night was a real bargain. Even at the regular rate of 58 it would be well worth it. The location right off the Place Clemenceau, with undergorund parking a block away was very convenient and quiet. The decor is a bit odd, but the room was thoroughly modern, very small but well-equipped and the bathroom, though small also, included a bathtub with shower. The individually-controlled air conditioning was very powerful and very welcome as it was quite warm for late September. Pau is worth visiting for its castle, which was one of the highlights of our tour of southwest France. The scenery in the nearby Pyrenees is magnificent and should not be missed if you have a car."
