"We booked the hotel as a stopover between the RAAS in Jodhpur and our next stop in Jaipur as it was recommended by our excellent tour organiser, Emma Horne Travel. It was an exceptional surprise. Stunning location built literally on a dam, overlooking a huge lake. The supposed 'tent' accommodations were beautifully designed with an outside terrace. We were greeted by front office staff member Rishi Kant Sharma, who thereafter anticipated our every wish. Nicely heated pool, lovely spa, great menu, an astrologer to navigate the sparkling night sky, a ornithologist to identify the hundreds of different birds. It is hard to fully explain just what a treat the place was. Rishi continued his service and advice even after we left for Jaipur."

"The most liked thing for this resort for us was lot of trees,lush green huge area,it was a jungle like feel as we are relaxing in a jungle lodge, as well its full spacious villas with very big bathrooms were super comfortable with separate sitting room and bedroom, Resort campus is huge and it's perfect for walking, running and morning activities in nature,Well maintained big pool with proper depth and you can take a super swimming experience here, Restaurant food was also good and tasty , specially morning complimentary breakfast we liked much,it was super tasty though choices were limited with a table service,no buffet but available items were tasty and sufficient,Room service and Housekeeping was satisfactory So all was well here and one can book without hesitation for a great resort experience Only one star less is for front desk,they demanded INR 1500 extra per room (we booked two rooms for four persons) for an upgraded room stating the reason that your online booked deluxe room is not available and we are offering you upgraded rooms on extra cost but we refused to pay extra and said it's your look out to allot rooms as we booked,and if you want to allot us upgraded rooms most welcome but it must be free of cost for better professionalism and business standard,later they agreed upon without any further arguments and alloted us upgraded villa rooms without paying any extra money,thanks for the same but we found their behaviour tricky and less welcoming,at hospitality business you must be extra cautious and give utmost respect to your guests,it will nurture your business,over all we enjoyed our stay and no major complaints except stated above,thanks -- "

From the moment we arrived, we were transported into a bygone era of royal splendour. Established in the year 1606, this Royal Castle is an ancestral home lovingly shared with guests, stands beautifully preserved with its traditional marble and sandstone architecture that speaks of centuries past. The castle has beautiful rooms & Heritage corners which reflects the glorious past. Our room was charming, comfortably furnished, and adorned with heirlooms that gave an authentic feel of old Rajasthan. Each room is unique, and ours had a cozy veranda that became our favourite spot for morning tea together, enjoying the peaceful courtyard views. The castle’s atmosphere is serene and calm — a perfect retreat from the bustle of city life. We appreciated the thoughtful layout of courtyards, terraces and temples on the property, where daily prayers create a tranquil ambiance. Dining here was an absolute delight. The meals featured traditional Rajasthani recipes with fresh, locally sourced ingredients — simple yet delicious. Our daughter particularly enjoyed the breakfast spread, it was so delicious. What made our stay even more memorable was the warm and attentive staff. Their courteous service and readiness to help with everything — whether local travel tips or making extra arrangements for our daughter — truly enhanced our visit. The property also features a refreshing swimming pool and beautifully laid-out lounges, which provided us relaxed family time under the open Rajasthani sky. In all, Ghanerao Royal Castle offered us a magical blend of regal heritage and heartfelt hospitality.
