"Check in : We were a family of 15 visited Pahagam hotel, half of them for the first time. Check in was smooth. Alloted rooms in new wing. Room Quality : We opted for 3 suites & 3 deluxe rooms. Deluxe rooms were great in size. Suite rooms were basics since it's a HERITAGE PROPERTY. Cleanliness was top notch. Facilities : Snooker table, table tennis, stone age lounge, indoor swimming pool and 360 degree lawn...........JUST AWESOME. Although we didn't had food over their as there were plenty of restaurants nearby. But as per past experience their food quality is classic. Last day we were offered high tea , bread pakora and butter toast free of cost as their kind gesture. Overall our stay was quite comfortable. 6 dedicated staff members were their all the time serving us. Mr Shabbir the caretaker provided warmth and took full care of our daily needs. Surely will return and recommend to fellow members"

Hotel is located overlooking the Lidder River, and the garden seatings give wonderful views of the same. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The property is a feast to the eyes, in terms of it's interiors and design. The buffet breakfast has huge range of dishes and offerings, one of the most extensive ones. Also, during dinner a la carte in the main restaurant, had one of the best Kashmiri Pulav in this property. Their restaurant Gulistan Grill outdoor in the gardens serves the most amazing food. They provide complimentary High tea to all their guests. Hotel staff are helpful and prompt in their service. Especially the restaurant staff."

"Below average property, not value for money. Having said that there is no good hotel in the middle budget category. I guess to have a hotel that has basic services and clean you will need to shell out over INR 10,000 per night at a hotel like Hotel Pahalgam or Heevan at 20000. Our main issue we had no hot water on arrival day 1. We were told to leave the taps flowing and the got water would flow out. However we had no luck. Finally at night the guy figured out the valve was shut has there was a leakage under the wash basin. Even when water started flowing it was dark brown in colour. Were again advised to leave the hot water flowing for the brown water to clear out. It again no luck. The same issue persisted the next morning. Either no hot water or dark brown water. We have been here for over 24 hours now and nothing has been fixed. Just lame excuses by the management. They keep sending staff to check who have no clue about the issue leave ***** how to fix it. Please see attached pictures. The ordinary staff as usual are nice but ill trained to resolve issues. Cleanliness and hygiene is something they do not seem to have a clue about. We would have checked out and paid more at a better accommodation but stuck here as it is prepaid through a third party and the hotel will not cancel or refund. A pity because the hotel is well located by the river side and can get a premium price by improving basic services. I find the lack of hot water or clean hot water absolutely unacceptable. A clean comfortable bed for a good sleep and a clean working toilet and shower are the most basis essentials of any hotel. Cannot recommend, if you are looking for a budget hotel, please try elsewhere, not worth the price. And I hope the management will not come up with some more lame excuses in response to this review as there was no good reason.. Had there been a problem they would have known or told us and fixed it in 24 hours. I can only guess that the hot water storage tanks need a good clean, removing all the accumulated sand."

Also i being a senior citizen, our room allotted was on the second floor and the hotel has no elevator. We just wanted our stay to end asap. On requesting the manager to allot a lower floor, they demanded an extra payment of rs. 5, 000-. Terrible"

"A hotel that complements the beauty of Pahalgam Some hotels merely provide a convenient base from which to explore a destination; others become an integral part of one’s memory of the place. For us, Pahalgam Hotel was very much the latter. Its location is exceptional, with beautiful views that bring the surrounding landscape into the experience of the stay. Despite being conveniently situated, the atmosphere within the property is peaceful and unhurried. The noise level was low, allowing us to rest comfortably and fully enjoy the tranquillity one associates with Pahalgam. The rooms were comfortable and well maintained, while both the rooms and common areas reflected a consistently high standard of cleanliness. The amenities were thoughtfully provided and contributed to an easy, comfortable stay. What distinguished the hotel most, however, was the service. The hospitality was warm and genuine, with the team remaining attentive without ever being intrusive. The food was excellent—prepared and served with care—and became a memorable part of our experience. Considering the quality of the accommodation, the location, the food and the level of service, the hotel offered very good value. Whenever I return to Pahalgam, I would happily choose to stay here again—not only because of its convenience and views, but because of how welcome and well cared for we felt throughout"
