"We only stayed one night but would loved to have stayed another night. The room was lovely clean and tidy. There is plenty of grounds you can sit at with various seats scattered around. There is a lovely swimming pool with a glass roof with sun beds to sit around. Water was lovely temperature. Angela our host could not do enough for us. He is so friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was included which had several homemade cakes. There was a variety of food to choose from. Angelo suggested stopping at a town called Cisternino on way to our next destination. It did not disappoint it was really pretty cobbled lanes with various shops and restaurants. We ate at Bestoke which was very nice - only a few tables."

"This is one of my favourite places I have stayed in as a solo traveller - I absolutely loved it. I spent 4 nights here in high season, to visit friends but I was also working remotely - the wifi and AC were great for this, which was really important to me. The building is perfectly located and presented: in an historical building but with modern interiors and design. The bed was extremely comfortable and I love the layout and amentities. It was also a very quiet street. Breakfast was fab, especially the pastries and the staff (Silvia in particular who organised a late check in and airport taxi for me) were very lovely and accommodating. I would 100% stay here again, the bar is now set very high!"

"Absolutely wonderful stay! The grounds are beautiful, set in rolling countryside with an on-site farm, horses and pick your own vegetable gardens. The villa came with its own private pool so you could relax in privacy. The staff could not have been more accommodating and lovely."

The staff was very friendly and accommodating as was the owner. The food was genuine and sourced locally. I would strongly recommend this masseria for a medium to big sized private or corporate event . The owner was also very helpful and resourceful in terms of local suggestions and activities"

"The hotel has a large slope, making it inconvenient to drag suitcases up. The room was older than expected, and the bathroom was very small, making it difficult to turn around. The room facilities were overpriced."

Masseria le Carrube

"Cute little hotel but very let down by its food offering. The restaurant is vegetarian only with one option per course which changes daily. We ate in the restaurant once and we had goats cheese risotto which didn't really taste of anything followed by a chick pea dish that I wasn't a fan of either. There is also an outdoor pizzeria with great pizzas, but isn't open every night. On our last night it rained so the pizzeria was shut. We didn't want to risk the vegetarian restaurant again and our children would not have eaten anything on that menu anyway. It was frustrating because it meant we had to drive into town to get something to eat. A shame because this place isn't cheap. If the restaurant had a normal menu this place would be much more appealing. Also the pool is very small and not really suitable for children. Within 5 minutes of arriving at the pool in our first day one of the staff members told us that our children aren't allowed to jump in the pool because it's dangerous, which was surprising. Taxis in the area are very expensive and we paid €100 for an 18 minute round trip. That means you mostly need to drive to places. Parking in the local town Ostuni was a bit of a nightmare too and it took us 30 minutes to find somewhere to park on a Tuesday night. Ostuni is an attractive town but would recommend booking for dinner as we had to try half a dozen restaurants before we found one with space for 4 of us."

"Our travel agent booked the Borge Santuri for us. At first, we were disappointed because it is outside of town and we requested to be in city center hotels on this trip. However, the charming staff, delicious food, beautiful surroundings, relaxing pool, and the comfortable room won us over. We loved everything about Santuri. Highly recommend."

"Wow. What a quirky place. Very well maintained considering it once was part of a small monastery. Gloria was very friendly, helpful and informative. Such a fab find. We also had access to the citrus garden with table and chairs to relax in which was well needed as it was so hot. Definitely worth a visit."
