SU Hotel ★★★★
"The hotel is very close to the lake. However, if you're coming from another city and the bus station is further from the lake, you'll have to take a taxi, making the location inconvenient. The lakeside street below the hotel is very lively, bustling until midnight. Many young men and women are eating snacks like egg waffles. It's about a 15-minute walk to the old town. The hotel elevator is rather small. The hotel is very clean, and the breakfast is delicious. Overall, this hotel is excellent for a vacation, but less convenient for business travelers in a rush. I recommend it for a relaxing getaway."
Villa Old Town ★★★
"A lovely little stay in a fantastic location. Room was spacious and had what was needed. Close to Old Bazzar and walking distance to the port, beaches and churches."
Villa Chingo ★★★
"It was a bit spartan and it was not clear at first that we had to pay cash, which is rather old-fashioned. There were hardly any curtains in the room so you woke up with the daylight. No view from the balcony, which is what we actually came for. It was also possible to prepare your own food or drinks. You really need a car to have a pleasant stay here."
Hotel Granit ★★★★
"We visited as a couple early June for a week and really enjoyed ourselves. The hotel and pool were clean and well kept. Rooms were dated but we don't mind as long as they're clean. We had a lake view and the view was stunning. The all inclusive bar is minimal, soft drinks are available to free pour however alcoholic drinks consisted of a beer, Gin, Vodka, red or white wine and Rakija (Macedonian Spirit) this is previously mentioned in other reveiws so we were aware of it. The only all inclusive bar is at reception level which is 3 floors above the pool level. However - there is a pool bar but it wasn't open at the time we stayed due to the season not officially starting. I believe this should be mid-late June. We found all staff friendly and as helpful as they could be, if they didn't know the answer they would say! WiFi was free and decent speeds as well as reaching to the far end of the pool. If you get chance to go in the lake we would highly recommend as it's so fresh and warm!! As a vegetarian I always check hotel reviews and had seen the food wasn't fantastic for veggies however there was always a large selection of salads, breads, fruits, cheeses, potatoes ect but we did eat out a lot. Breakfast was good with a wide variety of hot and cold meat, yogurts, fruit, cereals, hot and cold drinks, cheeses, breads - we had this every day and a couple of lunches in the restaurant. The all inclusive drinks did end at 10pm but I'm not sure if this was due to the season not officially starting or if this is just their policy, there was background music but no entertainment. The centre was a 1.45hour walk for us at an average pace but it's worth the walk and wander as there's some lovely bars and restaurants on the way as well as getting a variety of views! I would recommend the hotel and we would stay again however if you are expecting a massive selection of late night drinks, food and entertainment this isn't for you. They are a country relatively new to tourism (UK tourism has only been going 2/3 years) and you can tell it's being worked at however it isn't what a lot of people 'expect' compared to some countries with a good reputation for tourism. Villa Maki ★★★★
"It's clean and close to everything, but there's no remote for the air conditioner and the jacuzzi is unusable."
Villa Pupin Saraiste ★★★★
"We had a wonderful stay at Villa Pupin! The location in the heart of Ohrid's old town is unbeatable – all the sights, restaurants, and cafes are within easy walking distance. The rooms are modern, very clean, and comfortable, with air conditioning and free Wi-Fi, which made the stay particularly pleasant. Despite the central location, it's quiet, allowing you to truly relax. Ideal for anyone wanting to explore the city and the lake – highly recommended! We will definitely be back!"
Villa Varosh ★★★★
"The rooms are nice, clean, and the beds and pillows are comfortable. It's close to everything, great location. Definitely recommend!"
Bogdanoski Studios & Guest Rooms ★★★
"The room is right next to the most beautiful Lake Ohrid. It is within walking distance to the lake. The room is very warm, comfortable and clean. The boss is very friendly and it is very convenient to have various restaurants right outside the door."
Apartments FANTASY with Free Parking ★★★★
"I really enjoyed my time in Ohrid due to this apartment. Thanks to Daniel for warm welcoming"

Hotel Drim
"Hotel Drim is a lovely hotel, beautifully situated by the lake in Struga. The rooms, although somewhat dated and noisy, are kept impeccably clean. While the food selection is not very extensive or varied, everything offered tastes delicious. In the evenings, there is no entertainment at the hotel, and on weekends, there can be parties with quite loud music until 1 AM. However, the staff is very friendly and helpful. A special mention goes to our host, Bajram, who was always ready with a smile to assist us and ensure everything was perfectly arranged. The hotel also boasts a stunning beach right on the lake. Struga itself is a charming town with many restaurants along the Black Drim River and various small shops. The location provides a perfect blend of relaxation by the lake and the lively atmosphere of a bustling town."
Hotel Bluebell
"The hotel offers a beautiful view of Lake Ohrid, which creates a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere throughout the day. The weather was lovely during our stay—warm and sunny during the day, and slightly cool and very fresh in the evenings, which made it pleasant to sit outside or sleep with the windows open. The rooms were spacious, clean, and quite comfortable, providing everything we needed for a restful stay. While the bathrooms and toilets were a bit old and could use some renovation, they were functional and clean enough for a short holiday. The breakfast, unfortunately, was below expectations—limited options and not very satisfying. However, the large swimming pool was a big plus, and it only took about six minutes to walk down to the lake, which was very convenient. One of the things we appreciated most was the lack of mosquitoes or insects, which made our evenings much more enjoyable. Overall, we had a great night’s sleep and felt well-rested and refreshed by the end of our stay."
Hotel Lebed
"Although the location right by the lake is quite nice — about 1.5 km from the center — our experience at Hotel Lebed was far from satisfactory. We arrived through a travel agency and were surprised to learn that our room did not have a lake view. When we asked about it, the response was both unpleasant and dismissive. It seemed to be an arbitrary decision made by the person in charge, who didn’t speak English and made no effort to explain or offer alternatives — even though we would have gladly paid extra for a better room. We also had to go back to reception to request pillow covers, as the extra pillows came without any. No one answered the phone in the room, and there were no instructions on how to use it or which number to call. The TV remote was broken (the battery cover was missing), and the batteries had to be replaced. The staff eventually changed them — but it took over an hour. The bathroom was the most disappointing part: there were no towel racks, no hooks, and even the toilet paper had no holder. To make things worse, I found an insect I couldn’t identify. The overall maintenance was poor, and the curtains were so thin that sunlight hit our faces starting at 6 AM — making it impossible to sleep. Breakfast was modest and not particularly memorable. Unfortunately, I would not return to this hotel, and I would not recommend it."
