"The design hotel "Liberty" is located in Offenburg at the gateway to the Black Forest. The hotel was built as a prison in 1840 and was only "converted" in modern times. The latter was obviously done with a lot of taste and skill as well as a lot of financial investment. The rooms are very cleverly designed and furnished. The food and the service are excellent. The staff are also very friendly and quick. The hotel is on the edge of the pretty town center and everything is within walking distance - including the train station, from which you can easily reach places like Strasbourg, Baden-Baden or the Black Forest without a car. All in all, a very nice and fun vacation of a different kind. I would love to go back!"

"I've stayed in many hotels. This was my first time at the B&B Hotel. I always imagined that B&Bs would be nice and comfortable inside. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. The cleanliness wasn't good. And the next morning, I had absolutely no peace and quiet – the housekeeping staff kept trying to open the door, even though they could see that someone was in the room and that it was occupied. They tried to get in several times while I was there. It was very disruptive."
