"Went to spend some quality time with family for a weekend. Heard about this retreat from a friend and decided to give it a try. And I couldn't have been more correct about my choice. First, the place is heavenly, located in the midst of lush green plantations, a pristine location where every breath felt fresh and rejuvenating. Now the hosts. Right from check in, we were greeted with such warm hospitality that it felt like home. There were activities like Archery, Croquet etc which we all loved and bonded over as family. Early morning, they arranged an extensive nature trail to explore the wilderness and bird sightings. Special mention to Jess for being a great host, excellent knowledge on everything under the sun from Ooty toy train to wildlife and birds in the vicinity. Food was another highlight. Was treated to an awesome high tea experience which we all loved. Outdoor seating at the dining place itself was a pleasant experience. Overall an experience that I would definitely love to recommend. Go to this place to be close to nature and yourself."

The location is in a prime spot which is well connected to the city center , as well as gives a wonderful view of the surrounding hills including the Doddabetta. "So we stayed for one night, and it was ok, but the rooms just felt dingy, they had bars on the windows and were very small. The toilet seat was broken. The pool wasn't that clean. You had to order food and they brought it to your room or a very small dining room. I think this could be a beautiful little hotel, but they seem to have just concentrated on the pool area and nothing else. It's in a beautiful area surrounded by tea plantations and nature, and it would have been amazing to eat a nice dinner out looking over the views. Also, there seemed to be one girl doing everything (she was lovely though). We booked a mountain view room, but apparently got upgraded to a "pool view" I would rather have looked at the lovely surroundings than lots of plastic. Sorry sandalo."

Also elevator/lift may be helpful for both guests and service personnel."

"Had a very good experience in mayura sudharshan. Rooms are old but clean. The best part is Karnataka horticulture is attached to the resort. The gardens are beautiful. U can spend ur time relaxing in the garden. Restaurant is fine. For our stay in ooty we had food in restaurant itself. Only disadvantage is 2 dogs keep roaming around the rooms. Sometimes they follow you when u comeout during odd hours."

Rooms are great, Service is fantastic. The breakfast is very decent. Impressed with the service of Rohan Gupta who serves in the Resturant. "Better avoid this hotel. 1 star — Would not recommend Stayed here for 2 nights and honestly regret it. Location: Poor. It’s tucked away down a dead-end road with nothing walkable nearby.Tiny and suffocating. AC or fans were absent, windows don’t open, and the air felt stale within minutes of closing the door. No fresh air, no space to move. Felt more like a storage closet than a room. Housekeeping: Nonexistent. Towels weren’t changed, trash wasn’t emptied, and the bed wasn’t made after day. Staff: Unprofessional and indifferent. Food was the worst part..very limited spread and everything tasted to be bland reheated and tasteless. Staff were inefficient in providing basic dosa or omelette in breakfast."
