A super unforgettable experience - a drive in loft like accommodation with great, premium facilities!

The room is great, exactly just like the photo showed :)) Appliances are fully equipped. A bit far if pushing suitcases from station but very quiet area.

Great stay but too late check in and missed out all the amenities provided

You’ll need taxi or car to go to Rakuten Stay if you bring suitcase, as Nikko don’t have a well pedestrian walk and it’s a bit hard if you pull your luggage by yourself. The check-in process quiet confusing as there’s no reception and the easiest way is to call the Rakuten Stay straight away and ask room number and door passcode and you can do the check-in process inside your room. The room is really nice and it’s huge, we even get our own onsen which is really nice. The price also not that expensive, compare to hotel room if you’re more than 2 people. Overall really enjoy my stay despite the confusing check-in, but the help center really assist me patiently

The only drawback is that it is a long walk from the station. It is on the quieter side of the town, which is more suitable for a family to drive to spend the weekend. It is similar to the Airbnb type of homestay, with complete facilities, self-catering, and all kinds of dishes, furniture and appliances. It is also relatively clean. Overall, it is worth the money, but the sound insulation is really poor. I don’t know what the neighbors are doing on one of the nights I stayed there, and it was noisy until midnight.

The room facilities are satisfactory, including coffee machine, microwave and pot. It looks basically the same as the pictures on the Internet. The only bad experience is the check-in process. When I arrived at the room, I needed to take pictures with a tablet. I spent nearly 3 hours uploading the information all night. Every time I took a picture, the screen was stuck and the system failed. As a result, one person's photo could not be uploaded, which wasted a lot of my time. I contacted the staff and they said there was nothing they could do, but still asked me to continue uploading. Finally, when I checked out the next day, I explained the reason to the staff again, and they really couldn't upload it before they gave up. It's quite infuriating.

I was happy to have an espresso machine. If possible, drip coffee and tea would be even better. I would have liked floor heating in the raised area. It would be great if the tap water was purified or there was a water server.

The accommodation is fully equipped, there are hot springs to soak in, and you can buy and cook food in the supermarket yourself. It's a great experience. Only the check-in process was a bit awkward. It seemed that the system or network was unstable.

We had a corner room on the first floor, but we were able to spend the night there without worrying about the sound of footsteps, which we had been worried about. We were very happy to find a coffee machine, a washing machine with dryer, and a projector in the bedroom, which we hadn't used much. The futons were two thin mattresses (double size?), which seemed fine for children to use, but my husband and I were worried about back pain, so we used the beds. The beds were comfortable. The bath water could be filled with water by turning on the plug and switching it on, and if it was too hot, we could use the cold water tap to adjust the water temperature. After getting out of the bath, my body felt warm for a while, and although it was an artificial hot spring, I could really feel the difference from usual. There were few explanations for each, but it was written clearly everywhere. If there were any things that were difficult to understand, we could ask (by video call) on the tablet provided, so we didn't have any trouble. We were treated well. This time, we only used the convenience store (Seven), but there was also a drugstore within walking distance that was open from morning until late at night, which was very helpful. I would like to try other places as well.

We stayed at the hotel in October 2024. We took a room for 8 people, there were four of us in it. Pros: 1. The room has almost everything you need, from a washing machine to a capsule coffee machine and your own grill. 2. Very comfortable pillows and futons. 3. There is a full set of accessories for dogs. 4. There is your own onsen. 5. Heated floors in the recreation area. 6. Parking for cars. 7. Balcony with a huge table. Cons: 0. Bad location. About 20 minutes walk from the station in the opposite direction from the attractions. The hotel is in a dark, remote place. There are not sidewalks everywhere on the way to the hotel. On one side of the hotel is an industrial zone, on the other - a highway. We barely found it at night. There are no cafes or public places nearby, but there are two combinis within a 10-minute walk. There are no bus stops nearby - walk to the station, then take a bus to the attractions. The hotel is primarily intended for vacationers arriving in their own cars. The hotel itself looks like a classic American motel with entrances from the street. 1. Painful check-in: you need to enter your data into the tablet in the room, our data was lost several times, and we had to re-enter it. They require a photo of your passport, a photo of the person. Then you need to call a live employee and confirm your check-in on camera, answer questions. We could not get through to him for about 10 minutes. In total, it took us at least half an hour to check-in. 2. I discovered that the tablet we checked in on had a camera on while it was on the stand and was filming everything that was happening in the room. Of course, we did not give permission for this. I recommend removing the tablet from the stand and placing it face down on the table. 3. One toilet and one shower in a room designed for 8 people. 4. Eight people won't fit in this room. Two double beds are in one room (not very convenient, no privacy), but there is no place to put four futons for the other guests. We barely fit two futons, moving the table to the side. 5. No iron. 6. The washing machine does not show the temperature. I threw my sneakers in the dryer, after drying they shrank by two sizes (had to throw them out), since the temperature was extra-high, but there was no information about this on the washing machine display. 7. Broken door to the bathroom, slightly worn furniture.

The location was good, the facilities were good, and the room was spacious and comfortable.

At the beginning of check-in, I could not find the required letter number. Later, after video chatting with the staff through a tablet, I was able to enter. (The staff was very patient in assisting me with check-in matters). The location is great. Although it is next to the interchange, it is very quiet. There is a 7-11 supermarket within 2 minutes' walk. In addition, the facilities in the house are also great. In addition to a TV, there is also a projector available.

There was a lot of stuff, the half open-air bath was nice, and when I told them I had a baby, they gave me a family room, which was great ✩.*˚ However, it was disappointing that the reservation number and room number for the day were not emailed to me... The call center staff was kind enough to let me in and I was able to get into the room. It was difficult to enter the guest information on the tablet.
